Q:   Can I join YMCA University directly?

A: 

As a piece of fact, YMCA University do not entertain direct admissions. The admissions process for YMCA University, officially known as J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology in Faridabad, includes unique eligibility requirements and entrance exams for various courses. The eligibility criteria varies between courses. For B.Tech programs, students must have completed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate and have a valid JEE Main score. For postgraduate programs such as M.Tech, candidates must have a relevant B.E./B.Tech degree with a minimum aggregate and a valid GATE score. Similarly, MBA schools demand a bachelor's degree in any field of study lasting at least three years.

A: 

No, CUET is not compulsory for admission at YMCA University. YMCA takes the students on the basis of merit or entrance exam score. Admission to BSc, BA, BBA, BCA and MA programmes are based on merit. Programmes like MBA, BTech and MTech requires and entrance exam score. JEE Mains and LEET exam compulsory for admission to BE/BTech course.  CAT/MAT/XAT is required to get admission in MBA and PGDM programmes at YMCA Faridabad.

Yes, YMCA University offers MBA admission based on the entrance exam. Candidates are selected on the basis of merit of the entrance exam conducted by the university. The college should provide good companies in our college for recruitment.
Placements: Students who score a minimum of 70 marks in academics get placed. The salary package offered is overall 1 lakh for 6 months. Industries notice if students work hard or not when they work hard they will maximise the salary of students. Industries test the students.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. The canteen is not good, and the quality of serving food is very bad. Wi-Fi is not worth it. Labs are good but some labs are very old. The library is so good. The librarian is very humble and good in nature. The park is so good because there is so much neat and clean grass there.
Faculty: The course is difficult. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They help us and provide a good way to improve our college life. Semester exams are very tough. The university did not provide us with the sample and old previous years' question papers, and students arranged them on their own.
Other: I chose this course because in future the electrical branch will be very useful in the world. All types of electrical vehicles like metro, mono, rapido, and all types of vehicles are used with the help of electrical energy. In the future, there will be more higher scope in this branch. Our college delay fests. The campus has many students from other countries like Nepal, etc. Our college also provides scholarships.

Small infrastructure but good quality of education.
Placements: In my course, i.e., ECE, there are almost 90% of students who were eligible got placed, including off-campus. The highest package was 18 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA in ECE; otherwise, 40 LPA was the highest in all the courses. Top recruiting companies are Samsung, Yamaha, Sonalika, Bluestar, Career, and STM, etc. Top roles offered were Software Development Engineer and VLSI Engineer.
Infrastructure: The campus is 27 acres, including staff quarters. YMCA has the best workshops after NIT KUK in Haryana. There is one library with sections; one section is for books, and the other one is for studying. Every department is properly distinguished. There is only a girls' hostel available; the boys' hostel is under construction. There is one canteen named Krishna Bhawan. There is an auditorium with 350+ seating and also a showroom for Royal Enfield. There is a huge sports hall named Shakuntalam where we play badminton, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and generally helpful, ensuring a good learning experience. Industry Readiness: The curriculum is relevant, with workshops significantly better than other Haryana state government colleges. Exam Difficulty: Semester exams are mild, but difficulty varies by professor. Pass Percentage: Requires 30/75 in external and 10/25 in internals.
Other: I chose the course because the semiconductor industry is at a boom right now. I think the labs in our college must improve in terms of instruments. For campus crowd, major interaction is due to the clubs. Different cultural, technical, and social clubs are active in the college, like Mechnext, Microbird, Ananya, etc.

It is an okay college and the location is good for correspondence courses.
Placements: A very low percentile of students from our course get placements that are too far from here in Gurgaon or such so some opt not to go. The highest package is 5 lacs, and the lowest is 3 lacs. Internships are offered to about 60% of the students. HR is the most common role offered .
Infrastructure: On average, every necessary thing is present, from labs to seminar halls and canteens but again, everything, including the library, is very average. The medical facilities are also okay; they offer to take you to the nearest Amrita hospital but you are not given attendance when something like this happens. Sports like basketball, football, badminton and sports rooms are present, including carrom, table tennis and more. It is also sufficient—nothing special.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are qualified; they are also very experienced and kind. Some are because they know how hard college life is. Yes, most of the course curriculum is relevant, about 70–75%. It includes courses like Advanced Excel, which somehow makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are provided by the university so it is pretty tough and definitely not easy. The passing percentage is 35/100, which is very low but some people still fail because, again, the exams are not easy.
Other: I chose this course because it is easier than the rest. It teaches me more in depth about business. Improvement should revolve around practical knowledge, not bookish knowledge. Events are also average tents placed in the ground near the stage. Crowding is also okay, not bad, in my opinion. Fest was horrible this year but last year was okay.

Placements: The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro. Almost 60% of students got placed with no backlogs. Placement facilities are very good and the companies approached are reputed.
Faculty: Faculty members including helping hands are very friendly and helpful. They provide students with the best security and have great knowledge in their respective fields. Helping hands are all so very polite and respectful towards every student. Teachers have a great knowledge and a very long experience. Course is very relevant and due to the knowledgeable teachers the study is easy. Pass percentage is 33% which is a bit high but with the help of faculty members it gets easy to pass.

I am satisfied with this college because there are amazing statics placements for higher branches.
Placements: Almost 97% of students get placement in the IT course in 2024 with an average salary package of 7 LPA. Top companies like Google, Adobe, Amazon, etc., visit the college for placements. It is difficult to get an internship here, and only 30% of students get internships. The highest salary package offered in the IT course is 15.57 LPA which is less this year. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are no hostels for boys, which is very bad. Boys can stay in college up to 6 PM only. The campus is too small and spread over 22 acres. There are hostels for girls, and they cannot enter or exit the college after 6 PM. Campus life is very bad. It is not good for sports students due to a small campus.
Faculty: Teachers at our college YMCA Faridabad are very good. They have amazing teaching methods with a good amount of knowledge. But here the course curriculum is not so much relevant as they teach us from books which will not help us in future. The difficulty level of exams is very low, and papers are so easy. Only 2-3% of students fail in the exams.

The college is located inside a village with school teachers.
Placements: Can't depend on colleges for placements; they also do not promise placement. They only complete their courses. Also, their area is as small as a society park. In summers, it's disgusting because you'll not find clean water anywhere on campus, and forget about the toilets.
Infrastructure: It's a small college, with only one building having 3 floors where they manage all the courses offered. Also, the washrooms are super dirty, and sports are not taken seriously. No student can leave before 3:30 pm from campus, as there is only a single canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are not well-prepared for their subjects. Teachers change in the middle of the year without prior notice. They treat you like nursery students and frighten you by saying that they are going to call your home because you're not paying attention.
Other: You could not travel to this college with public transport; only by college bus or personal vehicles. The nearest metro is 14 km away.
