In Chennai's Anna University, a variety of courses are offered, including B.Tech, BE, MBA, M.Sc, MCA, ME, PhD, M.Tech, B.Arch, Master of Planning, M.Arch, M.S., and M.Phil.

National and state-level entrance exams will be used to determine who gets into Anna University in 2023. The institution has a brand-new entrance exam called the Common Engineering Entrance Test for Admission Postgraduate (CEETA PG) for ME, MTech, M.Arch, and MPlan programs. TANCET results will be used as the basis for admission to MBA and MCA programs.

For consideration for admission to the BE/B.Tech. or B.Arch. programs at Anna University, candidates must be intermediate graduates with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Math. Candidates must pass the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) entrance test to be accepted into the B.Tech/B.E. program. NATA entrance exam scores are required for enrollment in B.Arch. programs. Applications for TNEA 2023 must be received by June 4, 2023. Interested applicants may submit an application on the official website, tneaonline.org

TANCET/CEETA PG 2023 scorecards for MBA/MCA/ME/M.Tech/M.Plan/M. Arch admissions are available to candidates until May 20, 2023; they were announced on April 20. Candidates having a current GATE score are also eligible to register for MBA courses and are excluded from taking the TANCET. Candidates for the ME, M.Tech, M.Plan, M.Arch, MBA, and MCA programs will ultimately be picked through a counseling procedure. Anna University administers a written test as part of the M.Sc. program selection procedure, and those who pass the test are then invited to an interview. A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) is required to qualify for application. After passing the TANCET, candidates must appear for university-based counseling (TANCA), which will determine whether they will be admitted.

For Anna University BTech admission, candidates are also required to appear for TNEA counselling process. Basis of which Anna University will allocate the seats for BTech admission. For TNEA counselling, the University will consider the Class 12 marks. For Anna University PG admission, the minimum eligibility requirement is to have a graduation degree from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

No, Anna University BTech admission 2023 is based on the TNEA counselling round. For Anna University BE admission also, candidates need to appear for the TNEA counselling. TNEA written exam has been scrapped and the counselling is based on Class 12 marks. Anna University allocates seats on the basis of the TNEA rank list.TNEA is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu to offer admissions to candidates in various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. The application window for TNEA counselling 2023 is expected to start in June 2023. For admission to BE part-time course, Anna University admits students on the basis of the merit of their last qualifying examination.

There are 100 MCQs in the two-hour M.Sc. Entrance Test, totalling 100 points. You lose one-third of your points for an unsuccessful attempt.

 It is to be noted that May 26, 2023, is the application cutoff date for Anna University's M.Sc. (2-Year) and BE/BTech (Part-Time) programs.

Admission to the Ph.D. program at Anna Institution is based on applicants' performance on a written exam administered by the institution, followed by an interview. Holders of Teacher Fellowships, UGC NET (including JRF), UGC CSIR NET (including JRF), or SLET credentials cannot take the Anna University Written Test. Such candidates are required to participate in the interview process.

The TANCET 2023 schedule is now published for Anna University Admission 2023. For MBA & MCA admission for the session 2023, the University will administer TANCET 2023 on March 25, 2023. For admission to ME and MTech programs, candidates who successfully complete the GATE exam are free from CEETA PG.

Q:   Is JEE marks required for Anna University BTech admission?

Yes, the university does accepts JEE Marks for admission to BTech courses. Admission into BTech courses at Anna University-affiliated colleges, several entrance examinations are accepted, including JEE Main, AEEE, IMU CET, and TNEA Counselling. Hence, candidates who have secured a decent scores in any one of these entrance examination are allowed to apply for BTech course at university, and students who qualify the cutoff list/ merit list can get a seat in the programme. 

Q:   What are the documents required for Anna University MCA admission?

A:

For Anna University MCA admission candidates must visit the official website of the University to apply online. To complete the application process, students need to upload self-attested copies of the documents at the time of the application process. Given below is the list of documents: 

  • TANCET 2022 hall ticket
  • TANCET -2022 score card
  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheet
  • Mark sheets of all the semesters / consolidated mark sheet of the qualifying examination completed
  • Degree certificate (or) provisional certificate in the case of candidates who have passed during 2022 or earlier. Candidates who appeared for the final semester/ year examination of the qualifying degree in 2022 have to enclose all semester mark sheets

Q:   Is TANCET compulsory for MCA course admission at Anna University?

A:

Yes, for Anna University MCA admission, it is mandatory to have a valid TANCET score. Candidates seeking admission to the MCA course of Anna University must register themselves online by visiting the official website of the University. Based on the marks secured in the TANCET entrance test, the University will then release a merit list of selected candidates to paper for the TANCET counselling process.

The Anna University TANCET 2023 registration has started. Till February 22, 2023, students can submit online applications to Anna University. The university has announced the TANCET 2023 exam dates for the 2023 admissions cycle. The TANCET exam's format and number of questions have never been altered. Additionally, the exam's 2-hour length remains unaltered. Depending on the course a student chooses, the syllabus will change. For MBA and MCA courses, the test paper only has one section; however, for other courses, it has three sections, with a total of 105 questions spread between Part I, Part II, and Part III.
