The SRM Institute believes in all religions and pays equal respect to different global cultures. The SRM Institute has also opened its centre for fine arts and performing arts, which is known as the SRM Centre for Performing and Fine Arts (CPFA). This centre aims at nurturing the artistic talents of the students and honing those skills.

The centre is the best place for practising performing arts like Carnatic violin, guitar, mridangam, Carnatic vocal music, Western music, and so on. SRM has also registered itself in the Trinity College of Music London.
2. Community Radio
The community radio of SRM known as the Muthucharam Community Radio operates at the frequency of 90.4 megahertz. It mainly focuses on educating and generating awareness among the students of the SRM University Campus. It talks about the environment, education, health, rural agriculture, and other community-related development matters.
The main objective is to bring forth the idea about a better way of living and empowering programmes on self-employment, health, environment, and women empowerment. These programmes are broadcasted on different slots from 8 am to 8 pm every day. This radio station has been a great source of entertainment for the students as it has proved to be a mainstream learning channel.
3. Annual Fests
SRM University hosts a cultural fest named ‘Milan’ every year. This is a huge cultural fest that includes different types of events like fashion shows, DJ night, debate, and so on. Also, the Milan cultural fest is attended by various celebrities from the film industry and other philosophers and educationalists.
The University also holds another fest called ‘Tarana’ where students under the SRM banner get a chance to participate in different competitions to showcase their talent. Apart from this, SRM even encourages the students to take part in different religious celebrations and get involved in fitness activities like yoga.
4. Sports & Fitness
The SRM Institute is well-equipped with all sorts of recreation and sports-related facilities on the campus. It has dedicated facilities for badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and several other indoor/outdoor sports.
For the students to stay active and fit, the University encourages the students to participate in various state and national level tournaments. Also, the campus is equipped with both fitness centres and gyms that are open for both men and women.
5. Student Counselling Committee
The institute also provides counselling sessions to the students inside the campus. The qualified experts and counsellors who offer a 1-1 conversation with the student, so that he or she can share confidential issues with the professional. The counsellors will guide and assist the student in coping up with their difficulties and deal with their issues in the best possible way.
6. Other Non-Academic Activities
Apart from all the activities that sum up the campus life of SRM explained above, it also has several other committees for students’ convenience. The SRM campus has all sorts of facilities for the students, including women’s grievance resolution committee, internal complaints committee, public service committee, anti-ragging committee, and so on.
