Mumbai University Result 2020: Semester, Revaluation, Time Table

Mumbai University result 2020 for various first half-semester UG courses are out. The results are available online in the form of PDFs. The courses that are offered by Mumbai University are divided into two semesters per year also known as first half and second half examinations. Results for both the semesters can be checked online on the official website of the University.

A few courses offered by University of Mumbai include BA, BSc, BCom, BMS, BLiSc, LLB, BPA and BFA at UG level along with integrated BA+MA, BMS+MBA, BSc+MSc and LLB. At PG level, the University offers MA, MCom, MSc, LLM, MFA and MPA, among others in multiple specialisations.

Mumbai University Result 2020

Mumbai University has recently started releasing its results for the first half examination for various UG and PG courses. For the second half-semester exams, the results were out in between Februrat and March 2020 for all UG, PG and distance education courses. In order to check Mumbai University result 2020, students need to visit the official website (mu.ac.in) and follow the below-mentioned steps:

Mumbai University Marksheet 2019

Students need to collect their marksheet from the University once the result is declared. The marksheet of Mumbai University consists of the following information:

  • Name of student
  • Year, semester and session details
  • Students’ seat number, roll number
  • Name of subjects, maximum marks allotted to each subject and minimum marks required to pass
  • Marks scored in each subject
  • Result status (Pass/Fail)
  • Result declaration date

Mumbai University Evaluation Process 2020

Students can check Mumbai University results to know the total marks and GPA secured in the examination. They will be considered pass if they secure a minimum required percentage in aggregate. Pass students are promoted to next higher semester as per the University regulations. Mumbai University follows a Credit-Based Evaluation Scheme of examination wherein students have the freedom of opting the subjects as per their interest. The sum total credits allocated to each subject must meet the minimum credit requirement to clear a semester.

The evaluation is done via two components:

  • Internal Assessment: It carries 25% weightage and is calculated on the basis of class tests, participation in activities, seminars and viva voce
  • Semester End Assessment: It is a written test of 180/150 minutes of duration (duration of these exams is course-dependent) and carries 75% weightage

Students must score a minimum of 40% aggregate (Internals + Semester End) in each subject i.e. 10 out of 25 in internals and 30 out of 75 in semester end exams.

Mumbai University Revaluation Process 2020

Once the result is out, students who are not satisfied with their marks or fail in an exam can apply for revaluation of their answer sheet. The evaluation process for the list of courses is mentioned below along with the last date for revaluation application:

Mumbai University Time Table 2020

Mumbai University Exam Time Table 2020 for first half (summer) exams for various fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce and Engineering is released. Summer exams for a number of courses will begin from March 31.

DISCLAIMER: Summer exams at Mumbai University for various courses were scheduled to begin from March 31 but considering the current lockdown situations in the country due to Corona outbreak, the exams might get postponed. However, there is no such information yet available on the University website. 

Step-by-step process of checking the time table:

  1. Visit at the official website of Mumbai University (mu.ac.in)
  2. Go to the ‘Examination’ tab
  3. On the new page that opens up, again click on the ‘Examination’ tab
  4. Now, click on ‘Timetable for Summer 2020’
  5. Students will get redirected to MUM Digital University examination time table section
  6. Click on the respective stream Science/Commerce/Engineering and others from a list available there
  7. Download the respective course and semester/year exam timetable’s PDF
  8. Check paper-wise/subject-wise exam date, time and other details
  9. Take a print of this time table for further reference

Even with getting 89 marks in MHT CET and 87 marks in JEE Mains, it is somewhat tough and really possible to grab a seat under Mumbai University for the Computer Science branch. It depends on category, availability of seats, and most importantly the cut-off trends of individual colleges.
