Arts is a broad stream that includes many popular subjects and offers unlimited career opportunities. Arts can be defined as the discipline that focuses mainly on the study of human condition, developing and creative skills of aspirants. The stream involves different techniques and methodologies that are a bit critical or speculative. Different subjects offered under this stream include humanities, literary arts, visual arts and performing arts. The stream helps students in gaining knowledge about language, social issues, history, world affairs, historical events and much more.
Eligibility Criteria for Arts Courses
There are specific eligibility criteria for Arts subject. Before applying for the Arts subject, candidates must be aware about the eligibility criteria to take admission in a university or college.
UG courses: Candidates must have passed class 12th in any stream like Science/Commerce/Humanities from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks.
There are age limits as well in some colleges and institutes.
PG Courses: Candidates should have a graduation degree from a recognised college/university with a minimum of 50% marks.

In order to get admission in Arts subject graduation courses, candidates must have passed class 12th with a minimum passing mark. Meanwhile, some universities and colleges also have their specific entrance exams. Some of the exams are listed below

DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test): The entrance exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of Delhi University. It is an annual exam conducted in online mode. This exam is of two hours duration.

BHU UET (Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test): The entrance exam is conducted annually for admission in Art courses. The exam is conducted both in online and offline mode.

JNUEE (Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam): This entrance exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) through online mode.

TISS NET (Tata Institute of Social Science Bachelor's Admission Test): The entrance exam is conducted once in a year to provide admission in UG and PG courses. It is a computer-based entrance exam.
