National Institute of Technology, Surathkal.
Placements: Placement in NITK Surathkal is great. The placement is slightly declined due to recession. But earlier the placement was way too good, with an overall percentage of 92%. In the year 2021, around 421 companies visited NITK for recruitment. Though the number was less last year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is above average. The classrooms are near good but slightly old-fashioned. We don't get the lavish classroom. The hostels here are average because the hostels are very old and there are common washrooms for all years.
Faculty: NITK has highly qualified professors, some with PhD degrees. They have an average of 15-16 years of teaching experience. The coursework includes two quizzes, a mid-semester exam, and a final exam. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.
Other: I chose this course because I was getting the only course according to my rank. The crowd here is way too good. The campus has its own, which was another factor in choosing this college and not to forget the lighthouse too. The campus is a lush green and vintage kind of campus. There are multiple events every year, like incidents and engineers, the two most popular events.

All about NITK Surathkal.
Placements: Almost every student gets placed in nitk, with an overall Placement percentage of 98% this year. The highest package was 54.75 Lacs for three students by deshaw company. Almost every company like Google do visit our college regularly. The placements are also good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is also too good here we have all the modern in our college and we can use all the facilities for free and even after our graduation we can use these facilities lifetime without any kind of restrictions here, labs are also modern with new things.
Faculty: The semesters exams are relatively easy as compared to JEE you can easily pass the exams just by reading one night before the exam as we engineers do only this thing, we read one night before the exam and pass them, the academics is also great here the faculty are also from a well established background.

An honest review about NITK.
Placements: Placements are quite impressive. Students are eligible for employment in the 5th semester. You will get internship offers in the 5th semester. More than 150 companies come for the placement, including Jio, Google, Mercedes-Benz, Amazon, etc. In 2022, Jio offered placements to 120 students from the college. Nearly 90–95% of students get placed. I'll try to get a government job after the degree.
Infrastructure: NITK campus is one of the most beautiful campuses because of its own private spaces. Also, hostels are too good. There are 2 types of hostels: new and old. The facilities provided in new hostels are great, whereas the facilities in old hostels are also good but not as good as in new hostels. There is the best Wi-Fi connection on the whole campus, at approximately 90 mbps. The meal quality is good and various food items are served.
Faculty: Faculty members are so experienced and approachable. The course is comprehensive and related to the application of things in day-to-day life. Practical-based work influenced my decision to choose this course. Exams are often happening in the semester. Exams are conducted every single month. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.
Other: NITK offers excellent value with high placement rates and quality education at a reasonable fee. The major fests of NITK are Incident and Engineer. And areas for improvement could be infrastructure updates and more research opportunities.

Really good college- NITK.
Placements: Placement of NITK is around 94% this year (2023-2024). The highest package is around 60 lacs per annum (approximately) this year; however, official data may be released in the last week of December. For civil, the highest package was around 35 lacs per annum, which is offered by an IT-based company (Oracle). The top recruiting companies are Oracle, Tata, TCS, etc. A good number of students also got in NITK.
Infrastructure: In NITK, there are 3 libraries, each with an enormous number of books. One is the old library, which has a lot of books in it. The e-library is equipped with a computer so that everyone can study without disturbance. Hostels for the first year are quite old but no problem. Hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi, and regularly room cleaning will happen. In nitk, there are two sports complexes. The new sports complex are equipped with all modern sports equipment, whereas old sports complex are equipped with badminton court, tennis courts, billboards, etc.
Faculty: Professors are quite helpful and are very knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also very good All classrooms are equipped with smart boards and blackboards. Some professor use smart boards as it is easier for them, "just move slides." The curriculum is very good, For the core branches in first semester, we have the physics cycle, which contains a Physics lab, ECE, ee, mechanical engineering, Engineering drawing, smart communication, etc. For non-core branches in the first semester, they have a chemistry cycle. These cycles are switched in the second semester. Semester exams are really good, as they are at the level of many IITs. Especially in math, the pass percentage is around 40% .
Other: I chose this course because of my JEE rank. Nitk actually has a very good civil engineering lab and it is a research institute. The events are excellent, and we have two fests: one technical, Engineer, and one cultural, Incident. For scholarships, many state-run scholarship programs are there.

NIT in a nutshell by a second year civil student.
Placements: The placement percentage for each branch at NIT Surathkal is around 80-90%. Due to the recession, the percentage is lower now, but it is expected to return to the previous level next year. The average package received last year was around 8-9 LPA. The internship process requires you to write a technical OA for the companies you are applying to. If we are selected for the next round, it will be either a GD or an interview.
Infrastructure: Facilities on this campus are top-notch. The labs we have for our department are actually very impressive and they keep getting new machinery to update our lab and make it up to standard. Wi-Fi is provided everywhere on campus. Hostel is better than what I expected for a government college. Its double sharing for girls in first year and second year. The third-year majority of the students get double sharing and a few people who are quick get single sharing. Food in the mess is standard; nothing great. There's two types of mess: veg and non-veg. A health care center is open at all times, with doctors of all fields ready to help. The new sports complex is the best facility on this campus so far.
Faculty: The faculty on this campus is good. There are a few who don't know what they are teaching, but that's only a handful. All of the professors have PhDs in their respective departments and are highly knowledgeable. The topics and subjects are what we need to know if we want to continue in the civil engineering field.

A:

By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

You'll not get NITK with these marks. Nor any of the NIT. I would suggest you to go for other private colleges for B.Arch . Moreover, for government, there are least hope with colleges with home state quotas. Best of luck.
