This review provides an overall view about choosing VNIT.
Placements: As per my research, around 80 to 90 percent students get placed every year from our course. The highest package is around 64 Lacs per annum, the lowest is 8 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 13 Lacs per annum. Students start getting internships from early third year itself. Our college also runs an alumni association which makes placing students all over India.
Infrastructure: Every department has their Wi-Fi connection and they will provide a QR scanner to connect to the Wi-Fi, and especially in VNIT, the library is the center of attraction. It is embedded with a vast variety of books and a strong Wi-Fi connection also. The mess food was rated 4 out of 5. There is a special building named health center to take care of your health conditions and complexities. There is a huge sports complex where you can play an number of games. It also has a swimming pool built by the alumni association.
Faculty: Basically, except in a very rare case, teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was far better when compared to others. Actually, in the first year, all branches have the same subjects. The semester exams in the college are a bit difficult, but the pass percentage changes relatively.
Other: When I was on my job of choosing a college through JoSAA, I have come to know that VNIT is a very well-known and reputed college, and especially my group, EEE, is known for better placements. There are several events like Cultnite, Freshers Party, Aarohi, Department Gathering, Institute Gathering.

Comprehensive Review of VNIT, Nagpur: Opportunities, Facilities, and Student Life.
Placements: In our department, 109 students enrolled in the placement cycle, and so far, 76 have secured positions. The highest salary offered is 24 LPA, by Well Fargo. The top recruiting companies based on salary packages include BNY Mellon, HPCL, Hilti, Citi India, Adverb Technology, and NatWest. In terms of the number of students hired, Tata Elxsi (27 students from the entire college) and Deloitte (18 students from the entire college) lead the way. Additionally, 21 out of 114 enrolled students have obtained internships at leading multinational corporations in our third year. The most sought-after roles offered are Software Developer, Graduate Engineering Trainee, and various Data Analytics positions.
Infrastructure: Our facilities include smart classrooms equipped with multiple projectors, TV sets, laptops, and computers, along with reliable Wi-Fi connectivity. The practical labs are satisfactory, although the electrical machines like transformers, induction motors, synchronous motors, etc., are outdated, while the electronic devices are well-maintained and up-to-date. Our institute boasts a splendid library that offers a comprehensive collection of books across various disciplines. The hostel facilities are excellent, providing cupboards, tables, beds, light, and fans; however, students need to arrange for additional items themselves. Although the mess food is merely adequate, it is edible. There are two canteens within the institute: one available for all professors and students, and another, known as the Chandrama (Chandu) canteen, located in the boys' hostel. The institute also has a health center with limited facilities and a sports complex that supports a variety of indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: The teachers here are very supportive, with most holding Ph.D. or M.Tech degrees in various disciplines. Some teachers excel in their teaching skills, providing timely notes, presentations, and other study materials. The course curriculum is fairly good, though not exceptional. Students gain a variety of practical experiences through their final year projects and industry visits, such as a trip to the HVDC power station in Chandrapur during the 7th semester. Semester exams are manageable. With a good understanding of the material and quality notes and group study, any student can clear the exams. The passing marks for subjects vary, with some requiring 35, others 40, and some 50.
Other: I chose this branch because it offers more opportunities, with a higher number of companies coming for internships and placements compared to other branches like Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical. There are numerous scholarship programs for students from lower-income categories. For General, EWS, and OBC students, fee remission and the MahaDBT scholarship are available. In my opinion, the fee remission scheme has many advantages over the MahaDBT scheme because in this scheme, students will get all the tuition fees back, which is around 1,25,000 Rs. VNIT hosts several festivals. 'Aarohi,' the annual fest held mostly in November, features expert talks, music shows, DJ nights, and various other programs. 'Axis' is the tech fest, offering many technical events. The institute boasts a well-developed library with a vast collection of reference books sufficient for all students, along with a 24-hour open reading room. The sports complex is excellent, with facilities for indoor games and sports grounds for football, cricket, basketball, and more. VNIT also has various clubs, including Mag. Com, Prayaas, Velocity, Hallabol, Samvad, and Iridescence. Joining these clubs helps students improve their communication and interaction skills.

Satisfied with the hostel facilities and somewhat dissatisfied with course structure.
Placements: 115 students opted for the EEE course in VNIT. The lowest package is around 6-8 LPA, and the highest is around 18-20 LPA, with an average of 8-10 LPA. Companies such as BHEL, NPCL, and many core tech companies are involved. Around 60-70% of students get internships in the EEE course at DRDO, ISRO, BHEL, etc. Roles such as Power Engineer and Fault Engineer are among the opportunities available.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-facilitated with good equipment, and the classrooms are provided with Wi-Fi. The library offers a vast number of resources for students through books, e-journals, and magazines. Hostels are also well-facilitated, providing basic requirements like fans, lights, charging ports, and LAN facilities. The food is decent and hygienic, and the sports facilities are well-structured. VNIT is supportive of sports enthusiasts.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, but a drawback is that some teachers are following old methods of teaching, which are outdated. The curriculum is pretty relevant and reasonable, but in my opinion, they should introduce some additional courses to decrease the load on students. Semester exams are moderate; if you prepare well from two weeks before, you can achieve a decent score.
Other: College fests, events, and clubs are well-defined and structured, and these provide good support for exploring in early life at VNIT. Courses should be concise, as this would provide some extra time for students to explore other fields.

If you want to excel in the field of research, very good support is provided here.
Placements: Placements will be 100% in most courses. But only the highest package depends on the course selected. The highest amount for the 2022 graduating batch is INR 62 lakhs placed in Oracle. The average package of every department is very decent in the top 5 departments. Core placements are also good.
Infrastructure: Friendly infrastructure for students to explore different extracurricular activities. The food in the mess is both nutritious and tasty. There are two canteens, of which one will be open at night. You can't expect posh food in the canteen, which is filled with fruits and some basic fast foods.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Semester exams are the best concept boosters for those who are preparing for GATE. Teaching will be done using the latest technologies. Students will have access to any lab to explore the industrial knowledge provided with a lab guide.
Other: Fests are not much attractive but can find better connectivity due to some programs.

VNIT is a dream come true college.
Placements: 85 to 90 percent of students get placed in the electrical department. The highest package may reach 25 lacs and the minimum may be up to 6 lacs; the average package is around 8 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Golden Reliance, Nvidia and many more. Getting an internship is a difficult task. You have to be at the top of the class with no backlogs and a CGPA of 9 to at least get eligible for internships. In a class of 120 students, 12 to 15 students get internships. Top roles offered may differ from company to company, as may core jobs.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi available in campus. It is not available everywhere, but it is available in library classrooms departments common areas. There is no Wi-Fi facility in hostel. LAN is available in every room. classroom complex is a building which has 7 floors and is for classrooms only. Nothing else—seven floors, just classrooms. And every classroom is a smart classroom with 2 projectors, 1 smart board speaker, and a microphone system. Classrooms are huge; there is no need to worry about them. And departments also have classrooms. Labs are well-equipped. Come- on, it's a NIT; don't worry about the labs. They are well-equipped with every piece of equipment you will ever need. A multifloor library is situated inside campus with plenty of There are 8 to 10 hostels for boys and 2 for girls HB-2 is the best, with 10 floors and enough space to lift a canteen. Every hostel is good enough. There is a hospital in hostel area, which is completely free for students. You don't need to pay for anything—not consulting, not medicine. And every kind of doctor, from skin to teeth, is available with 24*7 ambulance. There is a main canteen and a night canteen available. With a decent amount of food options available,. An indoor sports complex a gym and a big field are available not only is this a football field, a cricket ground, a basketball court, a lawn tennis indoor tennis court, and a proper badminton court available,. It's a heaven for sports people.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. And may help you if they are free. But mostly, you will have to figure things out on your own. Senior professors are quite hard to approach; assistant professors are your go-to people if you want any kind of help regarding academics. Most professors read PowerPoints in class. You will have to teach yourself before exams. The course is quite out of date but new subjects that are relevant now have been added to the course, so it's a 50. courses will make you industry-ready. But in the end, it's up to you. Semester exams are hard. They will challenge you and there is no preparation leave to help you out. There will be no breaks between papers in the end semester exam, and two papers on the same day in the middle semester exam, so you will have to fight for it. There is a lot of crowding for the re-exam and many students have backlogs. It's nothing new around here. Professors will show no mercy.
Other: I chose this course just because this was the best college I was getting in counseling, so I chose it. My course is very difficult Electrical engineering is difficult so before choosing this course, please think about it. I just wish the timetable was better for the college and exam schedule was a bit more student-friendly. You don't want to miss any of the fests. Arohi is a cultural fest, and Axis is a technical fest. DG IG are department gathering and institute gatherings, which are the best events of all. You will find crowd from all around INDIA in this college.
