JIPMAT 2021 Question Papers: National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JIPMAT exam for IPM admission every year. IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya accepts JIPMAT scores for admission. JIPMAT 2021 was conducted on August 10 in a single shift. Candidates found the exams to be easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level.

JIPMAT Question Paper 2021: Highlights

JIPMAT 2021 was the first exam session for IPM admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. The syllabus for JIPMAT was similar to other BBA entrance exams. Therefore, candidates had a hint about the test structure and difficulty standards. Some tweaks in the topic-wise weightage were recorded as compared to other BBA entrance exams. Features of the JIPMAT 2021 exam were as follows:

Q:   How many questions are asked in the JIPMAT exam?

A:
NTA has designed the JIPMAT exam to compile as many as 100 questions collectively across three sections. NTA has tried and divided these 100 questions equally across the following sections: 1. Quantitative Aptitude (QA) 2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) 3. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) Both QA and DILR have 33 questions each, while the VARC section compiles 34 questions. The marking scheme, type of questions, medium of questions, and other elements of pattern remains the same for all the three sections.

Q:   Where can I find JIPMAT question papers?

A:
NTA conducts the JIPMAT exam every year for IPM admissions to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Soon after the examination process is concluded, JIPMAT question papers are uploaded on the official website of NTA. Candidates must follow the steps mentioned below to access the JIPMAT previous year's question papers- 1st Step: Visit the official website of National Testing Agency 2nd Step: Hover on to the Downloads tab on the homepage 3rd Step: Inside the downloads tab, candidates can find multiple drop down menu to choose year, exam type, and paper. 4th Step: Click on the search button to view the available question papers 5th Step: Download Now button appears against the requested question paper. The steps mentioned above can be used to download question paper of any exam conducted by NTA. Including JEE Main NEET CMAT CUET etc.

Q:   What type of questions appear in the JIPMAT question paper?

A:
NTA designs the JIPMAT exam question paper with objective-type questions. Multiple choice questions, or objective types questions in JIPMAT exam will have a total of four options. Candidates need to mark one correct response out of these four option choices. Choosing the correct answer option will fetch 4 marks, while incorrect option choice will lead to a negative one mark. No subjective questions are included in the JIPMAT exam pattern. Therefore, candidates may event land in a situation when the answer would strike immediately when he/she comes across the correct answer option.
  • JIPMAT 2021 question paper had three sections, namely:
    • Quantitative Ability
    • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
    • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
  • There were a total of 100 questions
  • All questions carried four marks each.
  • Each incorrect response in the JIPMAT answer sheet led to a negative one mark

Q:   Which sections in the JIPMAT question paper has the maximum weightage?

A:
The JIPMAT exam has three sections, namely, Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC). Each section carries an equal weightage of 33.33% in the exam. However, to round off the 33.33 per cent distribution, QA and DILR have 33 questions each. While the VARC section has 34 questions. In other words, there is no section that has maximum weightage in the JIPMAT exam. Each section is equally important and carries the same weightage. Candidates must score well in all the three sections to secure a good overall score in the exam. Therefore, candidates must prepare well for all the three sections and allocate equal time and effort to each section during the preparation phase to perform well in the JIPMAT exam.

Q:   Can I download the JIPMAT question paper along with the answer key?

A:
NTA releases JIPMAT question paper and answer key together. Candidates can log in to check the JIPMAT provisional answer key on the official exam website. On clicking the PDF file for answer key, candidates find the questions along with the question ID. Below each question, all the answer options will be provided with a distinct answer ID. Candidates can download the PDF from the login dashboard to get the JIPMAT question paper with provisional answer key in a single PDF file. NTA also releases the JIPMAT question paper separately at the NTA website under the 'Downloads' section. However, the question paper on the NTA website appears after the entire exam session ends.

Q:   Can I join MBA directly at IIM Bodhgaya?

A:

There is no such provision for direct admission to the MBA programme at IIM Bodhgaya. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme at IIM Bodhgaya must fulfil the following requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Candidates must have valid scores in the CAT exam based on which they will be selected for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • Those who score above or equal to the Minimum Performance Requirement (MPR) will be considered for the final merit list.
  • Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIM Bodhgaya for document verification and fee payment.

Q:   Is there a management quota for admission to IIM Bodhgaya?

A:

There is no provision for admission through management quota in any of the IIM’s including IIM Bodhgaya. IIM Bodhgaya admissions are completely entrance exam and merit based depending on the course. Candidates first check the eligibility and selection process for that particular course in which they want to enrol.

For admission in MBA, candidates need to take the CAT exam and should obtain a valid score in it. Also, the candidate need to apply through IIM Bodhgaya official website for admission in MBA programme, shortlisted candidates will have to go through the personal interview (PI) round. Selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIM Bodhgaya for document verification and fee payment.

Also, IIM Bodhgaya Phd in Management admissions are based on valid CAT/ GMAT score and for candidates who haven’t taken CAT or GMAT exam must take IIM Bodhgaya own conducted exam for admission in Phd in Management. Candidates having score/ rank in CAT/ GMAT above the closing rank specified in the cut-off list will be shortlisted for the personal interview round (PI) round.

Q:   Are there any seat reservations at IIM, Jammu?

A:

As per the Indian government policy, there are seat reservations for candidates belonging to certain categories at IIM Jammu. The reservation policy at IIM Jammu is as follows:

- 15% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category.

- 7.5% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

- 27% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.

- 10% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category.

The remaining seats are open for candidates from the general category. The selection process at IIM Jammu is based on merit, which includes the candidate's performance in the CAT exam, academic record, work experience, and performance in the personal interview.
