JIPMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025: National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the JIPMAT eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria to take JIPMAT 2025 exam in the information bulletin. Before filling the JIPMAT application form, candidates must go through all the JIPMAT eligibility criteria and ensure that they meet the same. JIPMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria to appear for JIPMAT 2025 exam:

Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam, or equivalent, in 2023, 2024 or shall be taking the exam in 2025. Candidates appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent in the current session must pass by the end of July 31.
  • Candidates must have passed the Class 10 exam in 2021 or later.

Minimum Qualifying Score

  • Candidates must score a minimum of 60 per cent in Class 12 and Class 10 if they belong to the general category.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for scoring a minimum of 55 per cent in Class 12 and Class 10.

Age Limit: No age limit has been prescribed by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu; however, candidates must have fulfilled the passing year criteria for Class 10 and Class 12.

Q:   Does IIM Bodhgaya accepts admission in MBA through any other exam besides CAT?

A:

No, IIM Bodhgaya accepts only CAT score for admission in MBA programme. Candidates willing to take admission in MBA programme at IIM Bodhgaya should have a UG degree in any domain with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with a valid score in the CAT exam based on which they will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round. Those who qualify the Personal Interview (PI) round will be required to report to the admission cell at IIM Bodhgaya for document verification and fee payment.

The eligibility criteria released along with the JIPMAT information brochure states that: - Candidates should have passed the Class 12 level exam, irrespective of the stream, in 2021, 2022 or 2023. - Aspirants who are waiting for the Class 12 exam result and will pass the exam in 2023 are also eligible to apply for the JIPMAT 2023 exam. - Candidates who have passed Class 10 level exam in the year 2019 or afterwards are eligible to appear for JIPMAT exam. - Unreserved category candidates must have secured 60 per cent aggregate marks in Class 10 and 12. - With a marks concession of 5 per cent, candidates belonging to reserved categories must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 55 per cent in Class 10 and 12.

Q:   Can I join MBA directly at IIM Bodhgaya?

A:

There is no such provision for direct admission to the MBA programme at IIM Bodhgaya. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme at IIM Bodhgaya must fulfil the following requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Candidates must have valid scores in the CAT exam based on which they will be selected for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • Those who score above or equal to the Minimum Performance Requirement (MPR) will be considered for the final merit list.
  • Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIM Bodhgaya for document verification and fee payment.

  • Applicants pursuing their Class 12 from international schools affiliated to foreign boards such as International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) are also eligible to apply.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 exam scores are not considered for merit list preparation.

  • In case of the absence of any regulation for aggregate score calculation, then the marks of all subjects appearing in the grade sheet shall be considered.

JIPMAT 2025 Reservation Criteria

IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya follow the reservation criteria as per the Central Government norms. The reservation criteria for admissions based on JIPMAT are as follows:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
  • Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 27%
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10%

Besides the reservations mentioned above; five per cent of seats from each category are reserved for the PWD candidates.

JIPMAT 2025: Eligibility for Admission

Q:   Is there a management quota for admission to IIM Bodhgaya?

A:

There is no provision for admission through management quota in any of the IIM’s including IIM Bodhgaya. IIM Bodhgaya admissions are completely entrance exam and merit based depending on the course. Candidates first check the eligibility and selection process for that particular course in which they want to enrol.

For admission in MBA, candidates need to take the CAT exam and should obtain a valid score in it. Also, the candidate need to apply through IIM Bodhgaya official website for admission in MBA programme, shortlisted candidates will have to go through the personal interview (PI) round. Selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIM Bodhgaya for document verification and fee payment.

Also, IIM Bodhgaya Phd in Management admissions are based on valid CAT/ GMAT score and for candidates who haven’t taken CAT or GMAT exam must take IIM Bodhgaya own conducted exam for admission in Phd in Management. Candidates having score/ rank in CAT/ GMAT above the closing rank specified in the cut-off list will be shortlisted for the personal interview round (PI) round.

Q:   Are there any seat reservations at IIM, Jammu?

A:

As per the Indian government policy, there are seat reservations for candidates belonging to certain categories at IIM Jammu. The reservation policy at IIM Jammu is as follows:

- 15% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category.

- 7.5% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

- 27% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.

- 10% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category.

The remaining seats are open for candidates from the general category. The selection process at IIM Jammu is based on merit, which includes the candidate's performance in the CAT exam, academic record, work experience, and performance in the personal interview.

Yes, Class 10 marks are considered for preparing the final merit list.

Q:   What is the IPM selection criteria followed by IIM Jammu for admissions based on JIPMAT?

A:
IIM Jammu has released the IPM admission policy for admissions based on JIPMAT scores. Candidates will be selected for IPM admission by 95 per cent allocation of JIPMAT scores and 5 per cent allocation to the females. The 95 per cent allocation of JIPMAT scores for male candidates is the total marks considered for the admission cutoff. While female candidates get an additional 5 per cent to provide better gender diversity to the IPM course.
