BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) is a bachelor's degree that takes four to five years to complete. The syllabus focuses on medicine and the treatment of patients using homoeopathy.

The course is divided into eight semesters. The BHMS syllabus focuses on homoeopathic pharmacy, physiology, homoeopathic Materia medica and biochemistry. As the BHMS syllabus progresses, students build an in-depth understanding of the knowledge required to practise homoeopathy successfully. It includes both theoretical and practical studies of human anatomy, physiology, the study of human blood, and much more.

The basic objective of the BHMS syllabus is to create competent physicians (homoeopathic) who can render their services conveniently in urban and rural areas. Emphasis is also given to social aspects that are related to health and ailments to provide a comprehensive medical education to the students. By completing the course of BHMS, the students get introduced to a holistic and dynamic approach towards life along with rationality when it comes to administering medicines.
