Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   What is the expected JEE Main cutoff 2024?

A:

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Here's how the course curriculum at Anjuman-I-Islam's Kalsekar Technical Campus is structured for B.E./B.Tech:

Relevance:
* According to multiple students, the course curriculum is "basic" and "relevant", providing a solid foundation for further studies. [Multiple sources]
* However, some students feel that the curriculum needs improvement, citing that it may not prepare students fully for industry demands. [Few sources]

Teaching Methods:

B.E. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2016

Good college but could be better one.
Placements: I studied B.E civil engineering, 2016 batch. No placements were there during that time and people strive hard to get a job after passing out. At least they should have provided an internship program for the students who are willing to work in the future and create a better one.
Infrastructure: As the infrastructure was developing, one cannot comment on that. The labs were well-equipped with instruments. They didn't provide Wi-Fi to anyone, and the library part was okay. They had a concrete firm ground where people can play cricket and a canteen for refreshments which wasn't clean regularly.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. But the course curriculum failed to make students industry-ready because our field is a labor job, full of stress with no timing. About 40% was the minimum marks required to pass out the exams every semester.
Other: Fest was just normal not that much apprehensive as others were.

Our college has a good infrastructure, and helpful faculty members.
Placements: As far as the civil engineering department is concerned, the college is not that good at institute placements. You have to look for opportunities by yourself. But the faculty members are helpful at every stage of your career. They share various recruitment news and guide you to various job opportunities through their reference.
Infrastructure: This might be the only college at the University of Mumbai to provide every civil engineering lab equipment. High tech instruments, survey instruments, hydraulic, water resources engineering instruments, Wi-Fi, and the state-of-the-art library are available. I would give a 5star rating for infrastructure. But unfortunately, there is no hostel facility available. You have to look for private hostels. But they are available nearby.
Faculty: We have highly qualified teachers. Most of the teachers are from Ph.D. and M.E levels with more than 10 years of experience. When they teach students, they make sure that the curriculum meets the industry requirements. Field visits are often planned for students to get both practical and theoretical knowledge. This college is affiliated with University of Mumbai so the exam pattern is decided by the university itself.
Other: Once a year, the campus fest is arranged by the students. It is an excellent fest. The nearest railway station (local) Khandeshwar and the Panel 10min drive. Share autos are available.

It is a good college to gain knowledge and be industry-ready.
Placements: There were no placements for the civil branch. However, students from IT and electronics got placements in most of the good companies, which are from Navi Mumbai only. But for core branches like mechanical, etc., there were less placements compared to other branches of engineering.
Infrastructure: The entrance of the college was good. There is a good and lush green environment around the college, which makes you feel very good when you enter in such a good premise. Classrooms were cleaned daily, and a separate huge library was provided to students with an internet facility. There was a huge canteen, and proper hygiene was maintained. The food was also prepared with proper hygiene and served to students.
Faculty: From HOD to assistant teachers, they have exemplary knowledge in their specialised fields and are highly qualified. They used to explain theoretical as well as practical knowledge in a very deep and easy way to understand. The course curriculum was relevant, and detailed practicals of every subject made students industry-ready in their fields.
Other: I wish that they should have provided placements to the civil branch as well and at least to the deserving students of the civil branch, which was not done in starting batches.

The college is excellent with well-set infrastructure, facilities, labs, and classrooms.
Placements: To the best of my knowledge, 40% of students secure placements with an average package. The teachers are very helpful, and the college provides internships, workshops, and opportunities for side work. Additionally, there are scholarship opportunities available. The staff and other workers are helpful and have a good nature.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are clean, and the college library is excellent, offering spacious labs to enhance our practical knowledge. The canteen provides good food, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. The canteen area is large, with clean seating arrangements for students.
Faculty: The teachers are not only helpful but also highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is commendable. While semester exams are challenging, the teachers are supportive, and with proper attention, good marks can be achieved. Both teachers and other staff members are helpful and provide excellent guidance.
