ALL ABOUT BANGALORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Placements: Hey, readers! Since I am in the ISE branch of BIT, let's talk about ISE itself. If we talk about the percentage of students placed this year, I can say it was around 85%, including off-campus placements. The average package was around 8.7 lakh. The lowest package offered was 3.7 lakh, while the highest on-campus package was 28 lakh from Razorpay and 58 lakh off-campus from Google. Some of the top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, PhonePe, Dell, Razorpay, and Flipkart. The first major on-campus internship happens at the beginning of the 5th semester, where 35 to 40 students out of a batch of 150 got the on-campus internship. There are three recruiters: Fidelity, Dell, and Boeing. Fidelity is the main recruiter, while Dell primarily recruits girls.
Infrastructure: Our department is on the 6th floor of the building, and we have well-functioning and well-maintained labs, with classrooms equipped with projectors and plenty of space. The major issue is the network; there is no network available on the entire campus. All the computers in the lab are connected to good-speed internet via Ethernet, and we get good Wi-Fi connectivity in some labs but not on the entire floor or building. Hostels are available in 2, 3, and 4 sharing, but for the first year, only 4 sharing is allotted. If you come earlier, you can get room allotment. As for the food, I can't say it's good, but it's the best compared to all the PGs.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable; they are always ready to assist you. If we talk about the ISE department, I think it has the best faculty I have seen in the entire college. The course curriculum was updated in 2022, which is very important and great for making us industry-ready. The university exams are not tough at all; if you study well, you can easily score good marks. You just have to maintain good handwriting.

A great experience with strangers.
Placements: Around 75% of students are placed. As far as I know, the highest package is found to be 52 lakh per annum, and the lowest is around 3.5-4 lakh per annum. Top companies recruiting include Google, Deloitte, Cisco, etc. My course offers many internships; about 60% of students got internships. Top roles offered may include General Manager.
Infrastructure: They have top facilities available, including all-time Wi-Fi. Labs are well-designed, classrooms are neat and clean, and the library is perfect. Regarding the hostel, the facilities are okay and acceptable. We have adjusted to the food situation over time, and there are no sports or games engaged in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, very approachable, and well-qualified with great knowledge. The teaching quality is understandable. As I am in my first year, I don't have much knowledge to share about course-related matters, but we didn't face any trouble with exams. Our teachers provide the best notes and prepare us in advance.

Exceptional Education Experience:A comprehensive review of my college.
Placements: As of now, in the month of March, there are only 350 odd students placed among 1200 of students. Looking at the percentage, it is 30%. The highest package is 56 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Telstra, Dailmer Trucks, Cisco, Phonepe, Goldman Sachs, Unisys, Harman, Planview, etc. The roles are data engineer, Java developer, and business development analyst. Not many of them got internships; only a few got internships in the same above-mentioned companies. The top role is a development role.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really poor, which comprises of two buildings: a main block and a block for mechanical and civil studies. The main block has 7 floors with various branches accompanied by it. There is no college Wi-Fi; you can get Wi-Fi in the library and departments only. Labs aren't too big or too small, just decent enough to perform. Classrooms are good and spacious. The library is also good with different books, and there is also a digital library. Hostel is provided by the college itself for both boys and girls. Boys' hostel is located nearer to the college, whereas the girls' hostel is a few smiles away from college but has bus facility for them. The food is exceptionally good in both hostels. There is a college canteen which lets us order South Indian/North Indian and Chinese food items. To be very honest, no medical facilities are available. Coming to the sports and games, you get limited opportunity for it. Volleyball and indoor games are given importance. There are rest all the sports competed, but practices are done outside the college as this college doesn't have its own ground.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and highly qualified, with most of them having their Ph.D. This college is highly ranked when it comes to education. It comes under VTU university where the question papers and evaluation are done by the university. The curriculum is relevant as it helps in getting jobs. If you study previous papers of VTU, you can easily pass, and the pass percentage is 35.
Other: I had my interest in the IT sector, so I chose this course. The campus should be a little bigger, and they should encourage students in sports and other extra activities. There will be a college fest held every year in odd semesters named MANTHAN. Campus crowd is huge. Connectivity is through bus and metro, which are very near to the college. Surroundings are mostly educational institutes. Most students get their scholarships from SSP and NSP. There are only a few extracurricular activities.

Very good college for engineering.
Placements: The average salary is 8 Lacs per annum. Pre-placement training is available in the college. The college itself provides internships, and nearly 140+ companies come for campus selection to recruit students. The highest package is 60 Lacs per annum. Best placement opportunities are available.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average, but free Wi-Fi is available every day. The computer labs are the best with updated systems. The canteen food is good, and the hostel is average, but they provide the best food. The canteen foods are good and better, and nearly 5000 books are available in the Library.
Faculty: The college has the best faculty members who are well-qualified, well-trained, talented, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good with friendly teachers. The exams are a little easy and nice, but they are a little strict in terms of exam correction.

Bangalore Institute of Technology: Know the Truth.
Placements: 3rd and 4th year are eligible for campus placements. Wipro, Mercedes, Google, etc., offer about 4-6 Lacs per annum. The highest was in 2022 with 45.5 Lacs by Google. 50-60 percent of students get placed in my course, and also 50 percent get internships. You have to maintain CGPA in order to be eligible.
Infrastructure: Facilities are adjustable, and classrooms can accommodate 60-70 students. Wi-Fi is available but slow in speed. Labs are well-maintained. There are 3 libraries, which is enough. Talking about hostel food, it is far better than any PG. Rooms and washrooms require adjustment.
Faculty: Not much to expect from teachers, but some teachers are really good and qualified. Semester examinations are not so difficult to pass, with almost 90 percent passing. Although getting above 90 percent is not at all easy. Evaluation of papers is not always fair; it depends on your luck.
Other: As I didn't score well in JEE, this was the only tier 1 college available for me, which had my required course. Manthan is organized in the month of December, and no other events are on a big scale.
