Overall, it is the best college to be.
Placements: Top roles offered are Company CEO, startup offers, and many reputed companies also come to the college to give jobs. The placement is pretty good. Many top companies come, and there are many startups starting from BMSCE College of Engineering.
Infrastructure: It is very good. Faculty is very good, and they teach well compared to other colleges. The faculty is very good and experienced, well-versed with all experienced teachers and lecturers. They are also very helpful in cracking many competitive exams like GATE, CAT, etc.
Faculty: It is not that difficult, but it is somewhat tough and manageable to pass. Expecting a higher CGPA is very difficult because more application-level questions are asked, so we have to understand the topic correctly. This college is not for those who memorize.
Other: Compared to other colleges, we have the best fests, such as Phase Shift, ABTech Fest, and Uthsav Fest.

Honest review of BMS College of Engineering.
Placements: For the batch of 2024, my seniors mentioned that only a few opted for campus placements. The average package for Mechanical Engineering ranges from INR 10 to INR 12 lakhs. Last year, one senior secured a package of INR 18 lakhs. Volvo, Tata, and Benz were some of the recruiting companies. According to my seniors, maintaining a good connection with the department can help in securing internships easily.
Infrastructure: There’s a huge library with a vast collection of reference books and study materials. Free Wi-Fi is available for both students and faculty, and the classrooms are fully air-conditioned. Although I don’t stay in the hostel, I’ve heard the food there is pretty good. There are separate international and Indian hostels that serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The overall hostel fee is about INR 3 lakhs.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and supportive in all aspects. The teaching quality varies from one teacher to another; some teachers are so good that they make a topic easily understandable in just one lecture. The curriculum prepares us well for the industry with the latest knowledge of computer-aided design software. Semester exams, especially for Mechanical Engineering, can be challenging due to the extensive numerical problems involved.
Other: My interest in cars and mechanical systems set me apart from software-based courses. The best aspects of this course are its practical applications and hands-on projects. Adding more industry-based topics earlier in the course could make it even more interesting. BMSCE hosts an annual fest and several department-specific programs throughout the year. One thing the college could improve on is having a larger playground, but since it's located in the city center, space is limited.

Great college life, good placements.
Placements: We had around 200 student in this course when joined in. Package is around 5-6 LPA for this course. Internship are provided from college end also. Teachers are a bit strict in this department but few are chill. Companies like Mercedes Benz, Boeing also come for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is damn good but campus is small compared to other top college. We have a playground here and an indoor stadium. The mess is quiet good. Medical facilities like hospital is very close by. Mess food is good and some just like to have food there.
Faculty: You are in engineering and you have to prepare for exams on your own. Semends are quiet difficult in this course and a lot of calculations are involved. Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. We have different seminar webinar and teaching to make us industry ready .
Other: Fest is damn awesome and we have many clubs.

An absolute package of exposure, placements in 2022, really good infrastructure available in BMSCE.
Placements: In my Specific Mechanical Engineering course, around 80% of students are already placed by now. Top Recruiting companies are Mercedes Benz and Daimler Trucks, Deloitte-India, Dassault Systems, Tata Advance Systems, Tata Power, Lam Research, Collins Aerospace, KPMG, EY-India, Goldmann Sachs, etc. Top roles offered - Graduate Engineering Trainee, Senior Analyst, Associate Engineer. The highest Package is around 13LPA, the lowest Package is around - 4LPA, and the Average is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are amazing facilities available for students because of the high tech library and hostel infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available throughout campus and Library is a perfect place for studies and books reading, including language learning. Classrooms for all the branches are in good state too. Tv's and study cameras are available in all classrooms. Auditoriums and startup incubations are also available Quality of food is good, both north and south Indian foods are equally balanced and worth the price. The sports facilities are amazing and students are encouraged to take part in regular competitions.
Faculty: Teaching quality is average, but the kind of exposure which is given is amazing. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant but students must go beyond the books and take professors guidance to improvise their skills by getting into technical activities out of curriculum. The semester exams are medium enough, they are easy if we cover the syllabus in relevance. Compared to VTU syllabus, we have better syllabus and better internals criteria, where in we are considered to take best 2 out of 3 internal marks. Also the pass percentage is around of students is around 90%.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering due to my interest to get into multidisciplinary fields connecting this course for vast area of domains like Robotics, Augmented Reality and Electrical Vehicles. Also the professors are high class who gives me both practical and theoretical exposure through various industrial visits and Clubs in college. I wish the course structure to be updated for future candidates to the relevance of Smart Manufacturing There are major events in the space of Startups, Aerospace and Mechanical Conferences and many more. There are diverse group of clubs which will take us to entail our passion and improve our skills in both technical and management fields. Extracurricular fields are widely supported too through the vast range of dance and social service and music clubs and societies. Scholarships are provided to merit students too.
