Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Overall, everything is good here.
Placements: The branch that I have chosen, I am really happy with that we are having good placements. We almost have 50 students in our class. The highest package must be 9 lacs, and the lowest package that has been provided must be 5 or 4 lacs. Companies we can see, like Amul, Britannia, and many more. Almost all the students get internships in good companies for their experiences. Roles like professor, assistant professor, officer, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: It's good and is on the verge of development. The campus is beautiful. There is no ragging. Faculty are friendly and good. Overall, we can say that it's good. We can experience many things. Clubs are there for learning. Here the hostel is clean and comfortable. The food provided in the mess is also good. It's hygienic. Everyone stays peaceful. There are people who help in dealing with the mental health issue. Even we have self-defense classes for females, which is really beneficial. The fest in our college is one of the best ones.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, friendly, and they are very helpful. They care for the students and encourage them to learn more. They help them in their time of need. They are really highly qualified and well educated. Their teaching techniques are really unique and fun. Yes, this course's curriculum is relevant and makes the students ready for the industry. The semester exam is good, and whatever is taught comes from that itself. The pass percentage of students is almost 80%.
Other: This course will help us know how to use foods in beneficial ways for betterment.

The campus is quite good with good labs and very good faculty members.
Placements: Placements level of our college is very poor. Top recruiting companies for our course are PepsiCo, Nestle and Kingfisher. Almost 100% of the students got an internship from our course in different companies like Amul, Nestle, Master India Brewing, Horlicks, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi of our college is very impressive with 30-40 Mbps. Labs are well-equipped with very expensive instruments. Classrooms are quite bigger, and almost 80 to 100 students can sit at a time with good electricity facilities. The library of our college is one of the top libraries of the northeast.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, highly qualified and have high knowledge. Teaching quality of the teachers is very friendly, and they are always encouraging students with their experience. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready.

Don't Join CIT. Everything is corrupted here. Faculty is not good.
Placements: Over placements are not good, if you are from CSE department or FET department, then you might have a little chance of getting off-campus or in-campus placements. Training and placements cell is not good. TNP cell members lack in guidance and they are not supportive. You should join a private college instead of CIT.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. Everything is corrupted here. There is no 24/7 electricity facility. College disconnects electricity after 11PM just to save petrol. In exam time also there is no 24x7 electricity facility. Hostels are very poor. Mess food is of very poor quality. If someone complains, the college takes disciplinary action against him/her. So I would suggest everyone to not join CIT. Some basic facilities are not available here.
Faculty: Some professors are good while the other professors are very rude and not supportive. 70% professors are not good, they are not highly qualified. You can't expect a good lecture from them. Exams are very easy here, you can pass easily. You just have to maintain your attendance.

CIT-KOKRAJHAR The most underrated institute of North-East.
Placements: The placements for our department is very bad. Placements are almost nill but in some due course they invite some local food manufacturing firms which provide a very bad environment and salary. As per the reputation of the institute the placements are not that good. Most students choose find job by themselves than what is provided by the placement cell.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is very good. Its a central institute so the central government sanctions a large amount of money. Also the institute is under accord therefore the development fund is higher than others. The classrooms are of high quality. High-speed Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Medical facility is also very good, ambulances are available and a separate medical centre is there. Sports and games facility is also of high standard. Volley, basketball, football, cricket, TT and many indoor facilities are provided. 2 separate canteen are there where one provides main course and the other is cafeteria. In my entire tenure till now Iam very satisfied with the infrastructure, moreover even my relatives and friends who visits me gets mesmerised by the infrastructure of the institute.
Faculty: Faculty members are very qualified, they are selected through UPSC so most of them are from every part of India, their knowledge, teaching quality is too good. They use modern teaching methods that are very high standard. Industrial exposure is provided well. Course curriculum is same as that of IITs. It follows IITs teaching pattern and structure. Professors from IIT Guwahati comes as guest and visiting faculty.
Other: College organises a gala fest comprising of technical as well as cultural fest. Technical fest of the college is called TEchracy and the cultural fest is called Ecstasy. A gala function is also organised as the annual fest where prominent singers of the country is invited. It becomes a center of attraction for the place. The campus is located in a very natural location of the Kokrajhar district. It is well connected by land and railway with air connectivity through Dhubri Airport. A large amount of scholarships are provided to various students falling Under various categories like merit, OBC, SC-ST, etc.

Overall, the college is good or average.
Placements: Almost 50 students in our class are placed. The highest package might be 9 lakh, and the lowest package might be 4 or 5 lakh. Companies like Amul, Britannia, and many more come for the recruitment. Almost everyone gets recruited by the companies. Almost 80% get internships from our college. Roles like professor are offered.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are good, helpful, caring, and kind. They are really knowledgeable, and their teaching is also good except for some faculty. The infrastructure of the college is on the verge of getting better slowly. The girls hostel is clean; the bathrooms and washrooms are almost good except for some. The food provided in the mess is eatable, but they don't provide varieties, but they almost follow hygiene; still, kids like eating outside. The sports facility is not very available; the sports club needs development, and more games should be arranged.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is almost good. Yes, the food engineering technology course is relevant as it provides placement. It does make them ready through the internship given to them for the industry. The questions in the exam are given from the syllabus and what is taught in the class itself. The passing percentage of the students might be 80%.
Other: I choose this course for its placement. It provides information and knowledge regarding the food in various aspects. The things I would like to say for the improvement are doing more practical things for better understanding and providing us with videos for better understanding. The scholarship is given timely.

Q:   Is Central Institute of Technology good for B.E. / B.Tech?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is Central Institute of Technology (CIT) good for BE/BTech?

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure: The campus has a well-maintained digital library, comfortable hostels, and excellent medical facilities.
* Qualified faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and helpful, providing both theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Relevant course curriculum: The course structure is similar to that of IITs and NITs, making students industry-ready.
* Scholarships: Various scholarships are available for students belonging to different categories.
* Cultural and technical fests: The college hosts annual galas, including technical and cultural fests, attracting notable speakers and artists.

Cons:

* Poor placements: The placement record is not satisfactory, especially for the CSE department.
* Limited off-campus placements: Companies rarely visit the campus for off-campus placements.
* Low packages: The salaries offered during campus placements range from INR1.50 Lacs to INR4.20 Lacs per annum.
* Poor hostel facilities: Food quality in hostels is often criticized, although amenities like Wi-Fi and LAN connections are available.
* Limited international exposure: While the college claims to offer industrial exposure, the extent of international collaboration and projects is unclear.

Overall assessment: While CIT has its strengths, such as qualified faculty and relevant course curricula, it struggles with poor placements and limited off-campus opportunities. Students seeking better job prospects may want to consider alternative options. However, those who prioritize academic excellence and a strong educational foundation may still find CIT suitable.

Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary depending on factors like departmental preferences and personal relationships with faculty members. It's essential to weigh these pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.
