Review of College of Engineering, Pune.
Placements: Top recruiters for the Electrical department are Texas Instruments, Caterpillar Inc., Reliance Industries, Tata, and ITC. The top roles offered in the course are field engineer, facility engineer, research engineer, associate engineer, and analog engineer. Till the end of November for the final year, almost 60% of students got placed.
Infrastructure: College campus is very aesthetically pleasing and labs are equipped with the latest technologies. Wi-Fi in the classroom and labs is good but in the rest of the campus is quite disappointing. College library is equipped with a huge variety of books and the electrical department has its own separate library as well. The quality of the food served in boy's mess is very good. The food at canteen is decent.
Faculty: Semester exams are in the range of medium to difficult. Passing marks are usually around 35 out of 100 and there is a relatively grading scheme for most subjects. From 2024, exams will be shifted to the scheme of mid-sem and end-sem from the earlier t1 t2, and end-sem. Course curriculum is focused on core electrical fundamentals and also includes good fundamentals in the fields of machine learning. Teachers are very knowledgeable.
Other: The course can include more field visits. I chose this course because of my interest in the field of Electrical Engineering. I should have focused more on the grades because that is an important factor in placements.

COEP Teach Review for Elec.
Placements: For my department (Electrical Engineering), the placement is good compared to other colleges. The top recruiters that came were Caterpillar, Reliance, Texas Instruments, Deloitte, Tata, Ion, Bajaj, and many more. The highest package for Electrical was from TI with 36 Lacs CTC. The role offered was of Sales and Analog Engineer.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are great; the rooms are quite spacious, and the labs are also equipped with some of the best instruments. The library of the college is also quite rich in books and has diversity in the books. The Wi-Fi is quite problematic; it is not good in the hostel and college campus. The food in the mess and canteen is good. The food in the North Campus canteen is not up to the mark. There is a great sports culture in the college.
Faculty: The semester exams are of moderate difficulty; they are conducted in two halves: mid-sems and end-sems. The passing CGPA is 6.0, which is based on the relative grading in the college. The course curriculum is quite relevant and also has many industry visits planned so that students can get hands-on experience. The teachers are also quite qualified, and many have completed their Ph.D.

Great College, Do Hard Work, and You Will Get Placed in a Great Company.
Placements: Placements for CS are great, and for E branches it is also good, especially for ENTC, EE, and Instru Branch. Apart from that, no good placements in the Civil branch; one must study for government exams as there are a lot of opportunities there, and it doesn't matter if you are from any branch. If you have an interest in coding, then do it with full enthusiasm, and you will for sure crack a company, whether it be on or off-campus.
Infrastructure: Not up to the mark. Firstly, the hostels are good, meaning the rooms are pretty spacious and enough for 4 people in one room, but the facilities, for example, no proper timings for water, especially hot water in winters, and not appropriate Wi-Fi connections. Therefore, please check which network works best for you in the room, as all network providers are not available in the room.
Faculty: Not up to the mark. Firstly, the faculty members are okay. Some faculty members are really good and supportive, but some don't support as much in attendance or in marking. Teaching is decent, but you have to study on your own for good scores. The exams here are tough, especially the university exams. The curriculum is good.
Other: Great connectivity, alumni network, and fests are great.

Overall Development, historic feeling, focus on extracurricular activities.
Placements: Till now 70% students are placed in my course in core and IT domain. Still placement is going on. The highest package till now is of CTC 33 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Many companies came like tata motors, Bajaj finserv, Aditya Birla groups, ICICI, CiTi bank and much more.
Infrastructure: College and hostel both has good infrastrure along with facilities of Wi-Fi and water availability. Labs are good. Hostel rooms are neat and clean. Table, chair, lamp, B.Ed and cupboard is there for each is n ice as compared to outside. Breakfast and snacks are also there in mess.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful but self study is the key to get marks. Curriculum is okay just sometimes you have to attend extra lectures to complete syllabus. On an average if you are scoring more than 40 (out of 100) marks, you will be passed (may vary according to subject and the highest scored marks). .
Other: There are mainly four events conducted throughout the year like MindSpark (Technical fest), Impressions ( Cultural fest), Regatta (Boat club event) and Gathering. Also Pune Startup fest is also there. Alongwith this many clubs organise their events.

Journey in India's 2nd oldest college.
Placements: 200+ companies visit the college for hiring students every year. So the placements of the college are above average. The highest package offered was 50 LPA this year. Average package offered is 7 LPA. Companies like DE also visit the college for recruitments. But there is a condition of the placements cell for the students to have a minimum score of 6.5 CGPA.
Infrastructure: The college has an excellent infrastructure with modern labs and classrooms. There is a big library in the college having different books. There is a special study area in the hostel for students. The campus is spread across 38 acres of land. There is a playground for the students to play different games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well qualified, but they don't teach well. They don’t understand what the students actually want. Course curriculum is relevant but some old subjects are still being taught by the faculty members. Exams are more difficult than other colleges in Pune.
