The college produces capable graduate engineers with an aptitude for research and leadership.
Placements: The highest salary package offered by WCE Sangli was 52 LPA, the average package was 24 LPA, and the lowest package was 9 LPA. And I would like to say that around 90 to 95 percent of students are placed in top companies like Google, Amazon, Dhruva, Deutsche bank, Sahaj, etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides us with 24-hour Wi-Fi. Labs are well conducted. Talking about libraries, Ajit Gulabchand Library is the library of the college, which holds a collection of 107859 books. Very nice and well-renovated hostels will be there in 2024. Each room contains four beds. There are different hostels for boys and girls, including the mess. The college has three canteens.
Faculty: Well-qualified and well-experienced teaching staff are there. Very nice teaching quality; if we have any doubts regarding studies, we can freely ask them. The college provides various internship opportunities so that students can get an experience with the job.
Other: Walchand College of Engineering is in the Sangli Vishrambag area. The campus is located on 90 acres of land. Established in 1947 and became autonomous in 2007. The college conducts various events each year. The annual social gathering is a memorial event every year. The college has various clubs for extracurricular activities. There, we can increase our skills.

Overall satisfied with the education, placements are good, really good exposure and infrastructure.
Placements: 80% of the students were placed in the electronics branch with the highest package of 20 LPA, a median package of 7 LPA and a minimum package of 3.3 LPA until February 15, 2024. Generally, for my branch, signify/cooper lightning solutions, Forvia Hella, Siemens, and Whirlpool provide high packages and most of the students get placed in them. Also, there are some other IT companies that recruit electronics students but only a few of them are selected.
Infrastructure: We get the best infrastructure, which includes digital classrooms, AGC library with more than 50,000 books of all domains, and a Wi-Fi 6 facility across the campus. Sports enthusiasts will feel like home as we have basketball court, tennis court, cricket ground with 600-degree angle, and also the gym khana has all the necessary equipment. I myself am health conscious so I go to the gym daily and haven't faced any issues. As for the canteen, the food is not so good there, I sometimes eat the food in the canteen, which is oily and unhealthy, so I don't visit often.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and understanding; you can ask your doubts anytime; they will also help you; they provide you with the notes and the semester exams mostly have the content from the notes so semester exams are not that hard to pass if you studied honestly; you will get a good GPA. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant but it doesn't make you industry-ready; you have to work hard on your own for your coding and aptitude skills.
Other: I chose the course because I was fascinated by electronic devices and wanted to learn more about them. I couldn't get a better college than this, as per my percentile. But I am happy that I got most of what I wanted, if not everything. If there were more hands-on sessions on Arduino and Raspberry Pi, it would be great. As for the events, yes, we celebrate the festivals and events but haven't enjoyed all of them, to be honest.

Only problem here is the natives are kind of mean. Choose Walchand if you can survive with them.
Placements: As of now, Walchand has a pretty high placements rate, and for my specific trade/course i.e., Electronics, placements percentage is around 80 to 90%. The highest package offered in my course was about 24 Lacs from Amazon, the lowest was around 7 to 8 lacs and the average package currently is 9 to 10 lacs. For a fact, Electronics students are mostly recruited by IT sector, but there are also many options for the students who wants to go for core companies like Siemens, Cummins, Morgan and Stanley. On an average, about 70 percent students get internships. We have the Siemens scholarships (it has an eligibility criteria) under which the students who are granted the scholarship are also provided with internships. Apart from that, the students from Electronics, in 2023, got internships in companies like Whirlpool and Deutsche Bank. Electronics has its own Departmental Club "ELESA", we also have clubs like "Robotics Vulcans" which teaches us about Analog, Digital, and Ardino implementation. ELESA also conducts the most famous event of Walchand i.e., "Electrovert". Many workshops and competitions are held for the Electronic students.
Infrastructure: As Walchand was built quiet a long time ago so the infrastructure is a bit vintage style. We have a huge campus area, each course has its own department and soon in about next 2 years new courses are going to be added like AI, ML and Robotics. We have wifi in the entire campus which has a pretty good connectivity. Our labs are well maintained and have almost all the necessary materials required, addition to this we have more practical implementation then theory in labs. Classrooms are good and we just got smart boards installed recently and also the faculty members have sessions on how to use it so that they use it appropriately and get adapted to it so that students don't face any problems. Within 2 to 3 years all classrooms will get renovated (as work is in progress currently). We have Ajit Gulabchand Library which has a decent amount of books, also every department have their own Library too. It's infrastructure is good and has quite enivornment with beautiful views from the large windows. Note that apart from hostels everything is under cctv surveillance. In total we have 10 hostels, 5 for boys and 5 for girls. Hostels are within the campus and also have mess available. Girls hostel is in a good shape. And boys hostel is average.Currently both are under renovation. The renovated hostels are clean and have good washrooms. We do sometimes have problems with wifi or cool drinking water but that's not a major issue, it gets fix within couple of hours. Hostels are provided with good quality of water (also has a option of cool and normal water), decent food, hot water for bathing and girls hostel also have washing machine. Girls mess is 2.3k per month and boys is 2.5 k per month (this are current rates I.e. 2024 might vary in future). There are many mess available outside the campus for around same price. Mess have breakfast, lunch and dinner. It don't provide Sunday dinner. Hostels are cleaned on daily basis without fail. Boys don't have in-time whereas girls do have in-time of 9 and on weekend it's 9:30. We have wardens/security gurds 24/7. Hostels have their own grounds.Boys and girls have seprated gyms. For medical facilities we have student center or rector office where a doctor is available from approximate morning 8 till evening 7, charges are already included in fees. And in case of emergency wardens/guards take the student to nearby hospital. Walchand also have cricket ground with jogging track surrounded by trees, badminton court, volleyball courts and a basketball court. Many sports events are conducted within a year like ASG, Departmental cup etc. All the grounds are in good condition and indoor games are also available like chess, table tennis etc.
Faculty: Faculty here is actually qualified and knowledgeable. Classes are conducted on a regular basis and academic time table is followed. Teaching quality in 4/5 as there is always a scope for improvement. For Electronics course, in my opinion, we have a relevant curriculum as we are taught from the basics to higher level along with it’s practical implementation too. We also can work on projects (if you are willing to). Currently in SEM 1 and 2, 70 to 80 percent of the students passed without failing in any subject and the rest mostly failed in 1 or at most 2 subjects. There are almost 2 to 3 students who did fail in all the subjects. Overall, speaking for all the semesters, the passing rate is above 70%.
Other: I chose Electronics branch, because it fascinated me since childhood (my uncle is an Electronics engineer, I'm inspired by him). According to me the best thing about the course is the wide range of job opportunities available because we can go for core as well as IT sector. It's also fun in making innovative stuff. I wish we had more technologies available for everyone irrespective of the course and in my opinion, Electronics should also have coding in depth, as to operate devices we need to develop software. As I already mentioned, we have many events in the odd semesters and only vision and yuvarang are held during the even semesters. We have concert, DJ night, TED X talks, and much more. To be honest, native Sangli people are not so hospitable and they outcast others. They are simply built different. Walchand has a strong network due to its Alumni. Campus is overall very beautiful, clean, green and huge. We do have a lot of scholarship options from the government as well as from private (but you need to fit in their respective eligibility criteria). We do have many extracurricular activities, since Walchand has many clubs with each club having their own motive and events. Clubs also arrange trips for the members, do social services like visiting orphanage and conducting blood donation camps. There is also a club for arts and other talents.

Review about walchand college of engineering Sangli.
Placements: Walchand college of engineering is known all over the world for its excellent placement and education policies. All students here are except at education as well as technical activities. All student criteria is more than 95 %Ile. But the electronics department's students are higher than 98 percentile. Package varies from student to student. Every student receives an average package of about 9.2 LPA which is fantastic considered in comparison to other colleges. All the students get internship to gain experience in 3rd year. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Morgan Stanley, Google and many more.
Infrastructure: Hostel is the worst. It is only con of walchand college of engineering. No cleanliness no basic facility as well. It looks like old hostel without any development student refers private rooms rather than college hostel. Although mess are good and provides decent food which is enough for students. College has dispensary area where student can get treatment. Also college conducts sports activity and gathering every year .
Faculty: All teachers in this college are well experienced and helpful. All are well known and brilliant in their own subject and their teaching is good. All courses in electronics engineering are relevant and no subject looks like a waste of time. Student get All study which is required to become A good engineer. Semester exam are mostly based on application which is taught in class and no other outside course knowledge is asked. The pass percentage is about 92 percentage.
Other: I chose electronics engineering as it was my dream from childhood to do work related to technology and ics and transistor and many more. College provided all required things related to electronics field through which study becomes even more easier. Also class have facility like digital screens and AC and college has best libraries and study room where student can study without any disturbance. Every year gathering is organized where social activities are performed by students and also extracurricular activities are taken by college which increases social interaction of students. Also college different sports competition in which student can take participation and can show their sports level and can also improve ATIT. Gathering is about 5 day long and every day is celebrated like a festival.

Satisfied with the college except the hostel.
Placements: Walchand College of Engineering is one of the finest colleges in Maharashtra. About all the students who took admission here were above the 95%ile in MH-CET. This college is well known and famous for its placement. The average placement for electronics engineering is INR 10 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Siemens, Cummins, Morgan Stanley and many more.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not so good The hostel is below average and not good for students. The faculty is good and helpful for students. The college has every basic need that a student requires for good study. The food in mess is pretty good The lab here is well equipped; every class consists of digital screens and all other facilities. The college supports sports and encourages students to take sports. The college organizes different sports events for different places every year.
Faculty: The exams taken here are good and not so hard The exams are based on the application of courses and are good for developing and improving the technical activities of students. All the courses that the college provided are relevant and useful, and semester exams are not so tough and can be dealt with.
Other: Walchand College of Engineering is known for its placement. Also, I have been fond of this branch since childhood, as it involves studying digital things. So I decided to take this branch as my future. All things are perfect for this course and are good for becoming a good engineer. The college organizes a gathering of about 5 days and encourages students to develop their technical activities. The campus here is about 90 acres, which is ample space where students can enjoy their college life happily.
