It is not a good college.
Placements: About 95% of students placed. The highest salary package is 35 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. The highest number of students recruited by cognizant is around 400. There are no internships offered by the college, so you need to search on your own. None of us had an internship. The role offered was trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The campus is small, not even as good as you think. For ground access, you need to go out. The hostel is 2 km away from the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are also not good. The curriculum is like school and they don't even treat you like a school student but make you attend college on a daily basis. They'll have exams every week. They will conduct unit tests and end-semester exams. They don't even teach real things.

Review of D.Y. Patil College of Engineering - DYPCOE.
Placements: D. Y. Patil College Of Engineering, Akurdi, Pune is one of the well-known colleges in Pune city in Akurdi region. The placement record of our college is not very good. Companies which visit our college for recruitment are not up to the satisfactory level. The placement status is average here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, and the seating arrangements are also well. The teaching is done by using digital technology here. Labs are well-equipped and arranged as per the requirements of the different departments. The canteen facility is also good where there will be good refreshment.
Faculty: Teachers here are very friendly and cooperative. Some of them are very well qualified, and others have great knowledge and experience in the courses. They clear doubts very nicely. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is very much helpful.

really good infrastructure and facilities, satisfied with the faculties, good industrial exposure.
Placements: As we have sandwich course we get better on field knowledge which helps us for getting better placement graph for this dept is growing in 2019 it was about 35 out of 60 students placed. The highest salary was around 7LPA and the lowest around 2.8LPA. Companies like Godrej & boyce mfg ltd, Divgu mfg ltd, Volkswagen, Mahindra, TATA Motors, etc. Companies have came for recruitment. Top roal was of manager at godrej and boyce. As said before salary offered was about 7LPA and the lowest 2.8LPA. 100% students got internship in companies like godrej and boyce vikroli, shirval plant, in divgi mfg ltd, in thermax, in MAHINDRA, Uno Minda alloywheels, currently I am doing internship in Uno mind alloy wheels in super plant and I have did inplant trained of third year in godrej and boyce it was a good on hand experience which we read in the textbooks was actually performed by us and implementation of the knowledge we gained in the theory lectures it was more helping.
Infrastructure: 2 classrooms one big department 1 library, Wi-Fi connection in whole complex. Hostel is little too expensive mess and canteen facilities are best in class and hostel room are really posh like hotel rooms. Best in class, there is play ground given where games like basketball, tennis, cricket competitions are conducted, and for indoor games facilities gymkhana is provided where games like chess, carrom table tennis are available.
Faculty: Teaching quality is really good teachers are very cooperative taking concern for individual student solving their problems separate teacher guardian is allotted for group of 5 students. Yes course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry ready.
Other: As it consists of inplant training for 1 year it is good to have hands on experience for a student to actually what he/she is learning in classrooms if we are not able to implement the knowledge on field it is of no use so for that purpose I chose this course. And I think there is no more improvement required already it has given very much efforts to make student industry ready in this course. There are many extra curricular activities like BAJA, SUPRA it is competition where cars on college level are manufactured, designed, by group of students it self and there is competition in international level our college of dypatil have gained 11th rank in international level at USA in BAJA. And in India on national level we ranked 2 overall.

Good infrastructure but poor faculty and placement services.
Placements: The placements are not so good for mechanical/production students. There are only a few core companies, but the placement is good for computer students. In our batch, only 10% of the students were placed. Tech Mahindra, TCS, MU Sigma, Thyssen-Krupp, Force Motors came for the campus placement. Executive and analyst jobs were offered to the students. Only 30% of the students got an internship from the college. The highest salary is Rs. 10 lacs per annum and the lowest is Rs. 2.5 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and huge. Open air theatre, auditorium and sports club. Less medical facilities. The quality of classroom is average and most of machinery and apparatus are not working properly. The quality of food is also average. The hostel rooms are very costly. It is hard to find the exam hall at the time of the examination.
In the fluid lab, not even a single machine was working.
Faculty: The faculty members were average. Some of the faculty members were not even good speakers. The teaching methods were poor. The ratio of student to faculty was 20:1. The course is not useful for my industrial career. Workshop experience was average. No practical experience but only theoretical assignments.

Other: College is good. From the point of view of placement, it's good for Computer Science and IT. But not good for core streams and for Civil Engineering. And for Mechanical it’s just fine. Not much core companies have specific placements for our college. For Production Engineering there is no placement in core companies in this college.

Hello Sachin,
Both the branches are new, but production has less crowd and good scope as this is a new branch as compared to the automobile so you easily get a job. I strongly recommend Production Engineering.
