GITA Autonomous College BBSR Review.
Placements: In CSIT, around a total of 200 students have taken admission. In the total CS branch, around 1200 students took admission. You can get admission in the price of 110000 per year in other branches, but for CS, you have to pay 145000. Companies like Google, Cisco, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Coforge, Emphasis, Argusoft, Capgemini, IBM mostly come. There are more chances of placement in CSE and CSIT as per the recent demands in the market.
Infrastructure: Yes, we have free Wi-Fi, a large library building, and a variety of labs such as Chemistry, Physics, PC, and many more. We also have a workshop. Hostel fees are 70000 per year, and the quality is almost better than other average colleges. We have both veg and non-veg food. We get food three times: once in the morning, then in the afternoon, and lastly at night. We also have a canteen with a variety of tiffin items like idli, chole bhature, upma, coffee, tea, Maggi, and many more. They also provide lunch and dinner items like chilly chicken, biryani, paneer makhani, and many more. We also have sports and participate in competitions at institutes like IIT.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some of their behavior is very good, and they are very friendly. They teach you everything, even if you don’t know anything before. The syllabus is also quite good. In the 1st year, 1st semester, you have to study subjects like Physics and Maths, and in the second semester, you have to study subjects like Chemistry.
Other: This is a very good and affordable college through which you can get placements. They also provide a variety of scholarships like e-Medha Bruti.

The best engineering college in Odisha.
Placements: The placement scenario is not so good nowadays because fewer companies came for placements. They also do not give good placements, and most of them are new companies or startups. Recently, Accenture, Capgemini, Mindtree, and TCS came for placements, but they gave fewer placements. After the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. The average package at our college is 5.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: GITA also provides hostels. There are 7 girls' hostels and 17 boys' hostels present. Hostel meals are good, and the menu changes every 2 months. There are 4, 2, and 1-seater rooms available. Outside the college, there are PGs and rented houses available at a reasonable price. There is Wi-Fi all over the campus and CCTV security. The campus is big; there is a park. The classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. Labs are good. The library has all types of books and magazines.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is 10:1. There are many faculty members I like, but among them, Suchismita ma'am is my favorite for her way of teaching, and she always helps students to keep studying. She teaches us Python; literally, I remember the basic concepts of Python very well. There is no teacher I hate, but I do not like the EEC teacher because he doesn't teach well and always scolds us for no reason. Every semester, you face two exams: one is the mid-semester exam, and another one is the end-semester exam, and between the mid-semester and end-semester exams, short tests happen. Viva tests are taken in each lab; this mark is also included in your main grade. The end-semester exam is for 60 marks, and the mid-semester exam is for 25 marks, and the rest are tests, viva, tests, and assignment marks. I took Computer Science because of my interest, and I chose GITA for GITA's quality education at an affordable price. Here, each subject is taught according to the needs of the industry, market, and higher studies. The major drawback is that important concepts are taught on the blackboard, which is not very effective; this curriculum should be changed. Exams are conducted every 2–3 months. The difficulty level is moderate; every question you get is from the question bank or assignments given by the faculty itself. A student can easily score good marks if they attend the class regularly and practice the question bank.

Very good college for engineering in Odisha.
Placements: Semester students are eligible for campus placement. Previously, many companies came for hiring, but nowadays, few companies come. Most companies are providing sales and marketing jobs. This year, approximately 50% of students were placed, with an average package of 5 Lacs per annum. The college provides internships and IV visits. The college has taken students for IV visits to companies like NALCO, Tata Steel, CTTC, and many more. The teachers help a lot with making the projects. Both core and IT projects are done here.
Infrastructure: Hostel fees is INR 65,000. In the 1st year, the warden stays with the students for both boys and girls. From the 2nd year onwards, in the boys' hostel, there is no warden staying with them. But in the girls' hostel, each hostel has a warden. Food quality is very poor. Only 3 students stay in one room. Eligibility for the course is 60% in 12th Science. This college asks to pay 10,000 Rs advance to book your seat in the college. There is no cut-off mark in the college. Most students gain admission by paying extra money. I must say GITA Autonomous College has a very beautiful library and an excellent librarian. Everyone literally loves the GITA library. It consists of every book, literally every book, that students like to read. In the library, there is also a cinematic hall that is not less than any Inox. Every year, there is a cultural fest for 7 days, which is very exciting for every student.
Faculty: On the basis of effectiveness and qualifications, our professors are great. Professors try to make the students comfortable in the class and behave very friendly. GITA provides mentors to each student to discuss any problem with them. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. Most teachers come to the class with their papers and teach with the help of their papers. If any student asks any cross-questions, the teacher solves those questions in the next class, not in the same class. As GITA College follows BPUT, the syllabus of each semester covers everything that is necessary for every B.Tech student. As I am in the 5th semester, I have learned Java, Python, Advanced Python, and DSA (not so much). They arranged these subjects in such a way that there will be no pressure for any student.

Best engineering college in Odisha.
Placements: The average placement rate is about 80% in Computer Science Engineering. A lot of companies are visiting the college; you'll get the opportunity to appear in the campus selection. The median salary package per year after the completion of your degree program is 3 lakh and 80 thousand. The highest salary package per year is given by Byju's or Infosys; it's about 9 lakh per year.
Infrastructure: The college is a Wi-Fi campus; they will provide you with an I'd and password, and you can use it anywhere on your campus by logging in. The library gives you every kind of book you need; there is no need to spend extra money to buy books. You can study their till 8 PM in regular and 10 PM at exam times. Hostel rooms are good; you've got to share rooms. You can choose your roommates. There is an attached bathroom in 2nd year hostels. And the best thing is their is a separate hostel for first-year students. Mess is decent though. You'll get 3 times of food. 3 days different non-veg.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very good. Subjects are easy and advance technology so that one can compete in the world. They are studying computer science, electronics communication, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering. The course curriculum is excellent, and there are two internal exams per semester. Exam structure: All BPUT papers have 90 marks of questions. 70 marks are compulsory for all; 20 marks are additional extra. 3 hours of duration is not mandatory to attempt 70 marks only; you can attempt 90 marks if time permits you. At BPUT, you will get multiple chances to clear a subject within a regular four-year period. The faculties are friendly. They are making doubt clear; faculties are going to hostel. They have night duty for clearing the doubt. Faculty have extracurricular activities, i.e., robotics, hobby club, dance club, optic lab, research laboratory, doubt clearing, etc.

Very good engineering college.
Placements: The placement record of our college is good. After the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. The average package is 5.5 LPA, and in Gita College, 80% of the students get placed. Most students secure placements through the college, which also provides internships. Gita collaborates with other government-certified institutes, giving minor projects to students every semester, along with a major project in the 8th semester. Companies like Argusoft, Infosys, and Wipro offer decent packages and good job opportunities, with mass placements being conducted. Almost 80% of students are placed.
Infrastructure: Our college celebrates two main fests each year, along with smaller events every one to two months. The annual function is the highlight, held in January or February. The tech fest is interesting and informative for students. Our library has a wide range of books, and if a book is not available, the central library provides it within a day without any cost. The amenities in our classrooms are good, with a healthy atmosphere, air conditioning, and smart classrooms equipped with quality technology and smart boards. Various clubs are available, including cricket, volleyball, football, chess, badminton, and table tennis, along with a music club that has great equipment. In the hostel, each room is well-furnished with quality study tables, chairs, and shelves for personal items. All rooms have two fans and three LED tube lights, with AC available in some hostels. The meal quality is excellent and healthy, with delicious food available 24/7 in the canteen. The food menu changes every three to four weeks based on student preferences. Numerous affordable rooms are available for rent, and good hotels provide quality, budget-friendly meals.
Faculty: My favorite subject is computer science, and I have a personal passion for it. There are many career opportunities, and I dream of becoming a software engineer. The B.Tech program has numerous qualified teachers, with a teacher-student ratio of 2:1. Every teacher has secured a good rank in the GATE entrance exam, holding Ph.D. degrees and M.Ed. qualifications. The faculty is friendly and caring, always advising us for a bright future. They also provide personal guidance and special focus on our development. The exam pattern consists of four exams per year: two semesters and two mid-semesters, with a simple and moderate format.
