Our college gives a good start to a career.
Placements: Almost 100% of students get placed in top companies like Saint Gobain, TRL Krosaki, Calderys, HR Johnson, OCL India, RHI Magnesita, etc. After their third year, 100% of students get internships. The average salary package offered is between 5 LPA and 6 LPA, with the highest being around 8 LPA to 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are labs of all kinds that one may need during his or her course. Apart from the ceramic department, the CSE and IT departments also have good labs and all the resources.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced. It is an autonomous college, so exams are held smoothly. Every semester has 3 exams, i.e., 2 midterms and an end-semester exam. Only those topics that are useful are being taught. Most students pass the exams.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: Around 99% of students get placed. The top recruiting companies are CUMI, Vesuvius, RHI magniseta, HR Johnson, TRL, Calderys, Reliance renewals, Saint Gobain etc. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college may look dull from outside, but inside it has very good infrastructure, like every essential laboratory is provided. IIT Kharagpur also visit our college for the inspiration of their cement laboratory from our college. The hostel is also very good and it is only for boys.
Faculty: Our professors are highly qualified and very helpful. It is a very good college for ceramic engineering. The curriculum is the best optimized for the students to make them industry-ready. Our college also provides internships to all of the students, to further enhance their practical knowledge of the industry.

Perfect investment return ratio provided by our college.
Placements: Every year a certain number of companies come tou our college and approximately 75-80% of the students studying in ceramic department are placed with a decent salary. Normally the highest package is 7.5 LPA and the lowest is 4LPA. The top recruiting companies are Saint Gobain glass, Johnson and Johnson refractory, OCL, TRL Krosarki, Vedanta, and many more.
100% of our students were successfully to grab an internship. Top roles offered are production engineer, Junior Manager etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides free Wi-Fi around its campus, the laboratories are well-equipped to carry out any work comfortably. The library of our college has a stock of ample of books mostly those that are academic. The classrooms are airy, with two doors and four windows. The hostel is a fine place to stay with free Wi-Fi and regular conduct of sports events along with proper quality food.
Faculty: The teachers of our department are very helpful and friendly we can ask any query without any hesitation and they are ready to help us. Since in the pandemic we are living in a virtual world still the teachers are trying their best to teach properly. Yes the course curriculum is very nice and it helps us to make industry ready. The semester examination are moderately tough in nature and 99% is the pass percentage.

It is the best government college in proper Kolkata.
Placements: Placements are quite good in ceramic technology department in our college. Many core companies come every year. The average salary package offered is 6 to 8 LPA, and the highest salary package offered may differ from 9 to 10 LPA. For CSE and IT departments, companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Amazon and many others come. Almost 100% of the students get placed in the ceramic technology department, and in CSE and IT, 60% of the students got placed. The above-mentioned companies are the mass recruiters in our college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good. Library and labs are average, and Wi-Fi is available on every floor. The hostel is quite good. The senior-junior relationship in our college is healthy, and seniors are quite helpful in both academics or any other problems. There are two different playgrounds in our college and a gym in the boundary of college, which is completely free and open to all students. There are many sports competitions and other competitions like technical fest, cultural fest and many other programs throughout the year.
Faculty: The most important fact of the college is that it is an autonomous college, so whatever teachers say or give as notes are the ultimate in the exam. You don't have to think about any extra studies and tuition classes or any other pressure. You just study for the exam for 1 week before the exam, and you get more than enough marks and GPA. More than 50% of the faculty members are PhD holders. They teach very well, clear all our confusions and doubts and all types of problems from social to economic problems. The course curriculum is according to MAKAUT, but the examinations papers and answers are set by our teachers, which is the most interesting thing. There is no extra pressure. Teachers teach very well as the class capacity is less, and teachers and students bonding become very strong in the course time.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is a government university, and the value of the degree is much than any other private engineering colleges. On the other hand, the total course fee for 4 years is approximately Rs. 30,000 for the ceramic technology course. Other courses fee is below Rs. 50,000 excluding the hostel fee. The hostel costs more Rs. 48,000 for 4 years. So you can see that you get a quality level of education, degree and job opportunities at a very cost.

An excellent college with almost 100% placements, the best faculty members and laboratories.
Placements: I have recently completed my 1st year in this college. Students of the batch 2019 already got placed, except one. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The placement process started in October. The average salary package offered was 4 to 4.5 LPA. From the previous batch (2017-2018), I heard from my seniors and teachers that 80-90% of the students were placed. Companies like Vedanta, St Gobain Glass, TRL Krosaki, etc., visited the campus.
Infrastructure: The college has one of the best-equipped laboratories and classrooms for the ceramic technology department. For the 1st year students, air-conditioned classrooms are provided. The library has thousands of books. Hostel facilities are available for boys within the campus. For girls, PGs and mess are available nearby.
Faculty: GCECT has the best set of faculty members for ceramic technology. Teachers are helpful. Our HOD takes the entire responsibility of internships and placements. Other teachers are always present and will help you in every possible way, whether it is related to your subject or not.
Other: The college conducts a technical fest named Karmatek, and a cultural fest named Jagriti. Along with this, Saraswati puja, Viswakarma puja, freshers' party called Aaghaz, Republic day, Independence day and Teacher's day are also celebrated within the campus.
