IIT ISM Dhanbad - worth it or not.

Placements: Most of the students got placed for multiple roles, not only in core but also in non-core roles. For core placements, companies like Jaguar, Land Rover, TATA, Jindal Steel, and Baker Hughes reach out for campus placement. For non-core, big tech companies like Microsoft, Accenture, and Future First recruit.

Infrastructure: Hostels are good. For first-years, Amber hostel is sharing. You may have to adjust in the 1st year as the room size is not so large but okay. For the 2nd and 3rd years, there is the Aquamarine hostel, which has quite large rooms. In the final year, you get single rooms in the Jasper hostel. Classrooms have good space with projectors and touch boards. Medical facilities are available in the health center for students, and an ambulance is also available for free; you pay for it in extra charges. There are quite good facilities for extracurricular activities.

Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and have very good knowledge in their field. Students can reach their offices for doubts also. Most of them are cooperative. The course is relevant, and along with theory classes, there are also lab classes for those theory subjects. Semester exams are on a medium to difficult level, but students manage to pass. Grading is done on a 10-point system.

Other: I am in the '26 batch. There are enough facilities provided in the college. In my college, there is a dedicated workshop that has good machines and new tech. I think they should add new compulsory courses for branches. We also have fests like Srijan and Concetto, which are eastern India's largest fests. The Student Activity Center is dedicated to extracurricular activities.

The college is the top of the world kind.

Placements: Approximately 85% of students get placed in this course. The highest package of this year was 1 Cr, and the lowest was 8 LPA. Beyond this, the average package was 14 lpa. The top recruiting companies were Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart, Myntra, Accenture, Tata Steel, ONGC, and many more. Almost all students get internships based upon their performance.

Infrastructure: The quality of the facilities in our hostel is top of the world. The mess is awesome. There is a separate mess for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Also, we got a special dinner in a month. There are almost every sport available in the college, and there are 4 playgrounds in which you can play anything at any time.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in nature. Any time you can ask doubts in the class. You can ask them separately in their office. Also, you can ask your concerns through email. They respond very quickly on working days. The curriculum is very useful for our overall growth, and this is really very helpful for the industry where we need to learn from everything. The semester exams in college are quite difficult. You have to work hard to maintain a good CGPA. There are no such passing marks. The CGPA is calculated relatively.

Other: I chose this course to become a successful engineer. The best thing about this course is that we can easily get jobs. I want the things to be improved so that the course should be more practical rather than theoretical. There are almost 5 festivals organized in our college, which is amazing, and we learn and enjoy them very much.

The Best College in India for Studies.

Placements: Since I'm in the first year, I don't know the exact percentage, but students can find it on the official website. However, seniors have mentioned that around 90% of students are placed. The lowest package offered in Mechanical is 2.6 lacs per annum, while the highest package offered is 24 lacs per annum. Companies like PWC, DMFA, and more are among the recruiters.

Infrastructure: The facilities are definitely the best in sports, classrooms, hostel rooms, internet connectivity, and the hospital, which operates 24*7. The library is well-equipped with a large number of both technical and non-technical books. We also have our own gym and indoor and outdoor games are available for both men and women.

Faculty: The faculty here is great. All the professors are highly educated and skilled. They are very punctual when it comes to lectures and assignment submissions. However, the courses are quite challenging to pass, with a passing percentage of only 95%. Interestingly, top IIT companies are particularly interested in graduates from this program.

Good infrastructure and Wi-Fi facilities; faculty members are friendly.

Placements: About 85 percent of students are placed out of approximately 1500 graduates passing out every year. The highest package offered in our course is 44 Lacs, the average is 14 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Google, and Nvidia hire, and 7 students are offered internships in companies like PhonePe, Zomato.

Infrastructure: Our campus has good Wi-Fi connections everywhere. Asia's second-largest library is on our campus with good infrastructure. Every hostel room has 2 candidates. Food in our mess is above average, and 2 grand dinners are offered every semester. 24/7 health center services are available.

Faculty: Our college has fully experienced, many of whom have completed PG in famous universities. Our end-semester exams are a little bit hard to crack. Every semester, we have mid-exams, end-semester exams, and quizzes are held frequently. 75% attendance is mandatory in our college, and the pass percentage is above 96%.

Other: I chose this course because I am very much interested in automobiles and machine designing. I wish they provided more practical classes than theory. Our college has 2 annual fests: Concetto, Srijan, and the sports fest Parakram. Our campus contains around 6500 students, including some foreign MBA and M.Tech scholars. There are also many cultural, technical, and sports clubs in our college, including coding clubs for students interested in cyber. NVCTI is the center of innovation.

Review of IIT Dhanbad in a nutshell .

Placements: The highest in this year, 2024, is around 51 LPA by Microsoft. The average is around 10 to 17 Lacs per annum. Around 200 companies visited this year. Infrastructure: There is the use of LAN ports in different hostels. Many hostels were the holders. There are 3 girls hostels. We are provided with non-vegetarian food five times a week: chicken, three fish and eggs once a week. Rice and roti are available all the time. There are changes to the snacks provided. They just give tea.

Faculty: The first year is common for providing the opportunity for branch change. We have 3 semesters in a year: Monsoon and Winter, which are compulsory for all and the summer semester to clear any drop-out or backlog courses and take any advance courses. The grading system is relatively credit-based. We have very high credit, around an average of 9 for each subject.

Other: We have three fests, including a departmental fest.
