Overall college was rated as good. I am satisfied with my decision .

Placements: 86% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 60 LPA, the median package was 26 LPA, and the lowest package was 15 LPA. I am not too much satisfied with the faculty, hostel and mess quality.

Placements: IIT Dhanbad ISM has a good placement record. According to recent statistics, approximately 81% of students in electrical engineering got placed. The highest package was 50 lakhs and the lowest package was 15 lakhs. The average package in our branch was 16 lakhs. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Tata Metaliks, Tata Power, Tata Steel, American Express, Ram Group, Schlumberger, AMD, Deloitte, and Aditya Birla. Review of IIT Dhanbad (ISM) - Indian Institute of Technology (ISM).

Placements: Our college has secured placements in 200 companies, with approximately 800 students placed. The packages vary, with some being quite good while others are not as favorable. Top companies like Microsoft and Google are among them. The highest package is 69 LPA, while the lowest is 10 LPA, with an average of 13 LPA. We are expecting more companies to visit for the lower branches as well.

Really Good Facilities in Hostel.

Placements: The placement opportunities at IIT are exceptional, with students securing positions in some of the world's leading companies. Around 80% of students successfully find placements, while the remaining 20% explore opportunities in startups and other ventures. In 2020, the highest package offered was INR 25 lacs, while the lowest package stood at 12 lacs. Renowned companies actively participate in the hiring process at IIT.

Placements: The placement scenario is impressive, with high-quality opportunities and lucrative packages, with the majority, around 64%, securing placements. The highest package is 41 lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 23.4 lacs per annum from top companies such as Coal India, RIO, and many other industries. Most of them offer paid internships.

It is an average college for CSE but good for mining and petroleum engineering.

Placements: In our college, some students are placed. Most students get internships at top companies like Jio, Amazon, Google, etc. Top role offered is petroleum engineering.

Placements and teachers are good, but I am a bit dissatisfied with infrastructure.

Placements: Many jobs are available in our course, like CSE branch. Salary packages offered for the 2019 batch was pretty good, and it is going good for 2020 batch. Usually, the highest salary is offered by Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and Samsung. There are many other companies like this year Ericson, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. In our course for 2019 batch, the highest salary package offered is around 40 LPA and the average salary package offered is around 17-22 LPA. Review of IIT Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Placements: The placement scenario in our college is moderate. Mainly, core jobs are offered to the students, and the positions are of entry-level. Core branch students are offered mediocre placements. There is no established relationship with companies to improve the placement scenario. The new branches are not getting support from the administration.

The college is not in its best condition, but it's developing well.

Placements: Placements for the earth science branch are fantastic. The computer science branch has a very nice placement scenario. Placements of core branches like electrical and electronics are not very nice. But, there has been a considerable improvement rate in the last two years. On an average, placement for these branches is nearly 70%. Maximum salary package offered for the 2018 pass out students was 44 LPA in both EE and ECE department. For the CSE department, the highest package offered was 36 LPA; ...

Placements: If you are getting a Jew Advanced All India rank which is below 4000 then you will be safe to get in to Computer Science and engineering. Placements in CSE are much better compared to other branches. If you are not getting a good rank, then go for Mathematics and computing.

Life at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

Placements: Placements are pretty good and the stats have gone higher since the college became a full-fledged IIT. Talking about my batch, more than 90% of students have been placed till now (the placements arena't over yet). The average salary depends upon your branch (CSE guys get more). The lowest would be around LPA. Another good thing is that lots of PSUs come here for recruitment.

Worth your money but not worth your time.

Placements: The placements ratio at the campus is good. Many coding companies are ready to recruit the students from the college, and at the same time, lots of core companies also visit the campus for placements. There are coaching companies and analytics companies for people with different life goals.

The oldest engineering college in India and India's best mining college.

Placements: The placements were good and are still going on, and 80% of my batch is placed. All core and non-core companies have come to recruit in the campus. The government companies like CIL, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL visited. Trading-related companies also took their part, and other branches also got 70% of the placement.

Placements: Placement of the computer science department was very good. Major companies that visited the campus for CSE were Adobe, Directi, Google, Microsoft, etc. For rest of the branches companies like Analytics Quotient, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and IT companies like IBM, Wipro, Accenture, Nucleus Software, etc lined up at the end and provided decent packages. Educational institutions like Resonance and Aakash also came. For mechanical and electrical engineering, core companies like Schlumberger, Caterp...

Dissatisfied as the administration is very poor. Political agendas and some teachers are the worst.

Placements: Placement scenario in my college for CSE branch is good for our batch as well as for our senior but it is pretty average or below average for some branch like mechanical and electrical. Petroleum department is suffering the most in terms of placement. In CSE around 90% students are placed and highest salary was 27 LPA and lowest was 4 LPA with an average of 9 LPA to 10 LPA. Many companies like Adobe, Samsung, Walmart, Amazon, Arista Network, Directi visited the campus. All the company recruiting...

Placements: Placements for this particular course are totally nil in core sector. However, 4 out of 18 students opted to enter into teaching profession. The highest salary is 9.04 LPA and lowest is 6 LPA. There are no core companies which visited the campus and the teaching institutes that have visited were Rao's IIT Academy and Seekers Educational Institutions. There were no chances of internships.

Great college and legacy, improving facilites, you are on you own for placements, we are IIT now!

Placements: The placement scenario is at its low for electrical engineering students. Due to lack of core jobs in electrical engineering field and the rise of "easy IT jobs" industry with extremely nominal pay and shady future, students from EE are shifting towards them. The placement cell also has below average enthusiasm and involvement in EE placements. The faculty may be qualified but doesn't have the zeal to teach partly because of course structure and partly because of students themselves. The faculty...
