IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Providing information about passed out batch 1. Around 25% students got placement offers. 2. The highest salary is 17 Lacs per annum, the lowest is around 9 Lacs per annum and average would be like 12 Lacs per annum. 3. ONGC, COAL INDIA, SCHLUMBERGER, OIL, INDIAN OIL, CAIRN INDIA offered the jobs. 4. GEOLOGIST was the role offered. 6. 100% internship In ongc, coal India, AMD, TATA STEEL etc.

Placements: At IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, placements for civil engineering are quite low compared to other branches. But in the future, there may be more scope for placements in civil engineering. At present, only a few companies come to the college for final-year placements.

Placements: In my batch, about 82% of students were placed in my branch. The highest package of my branch was approximately 48 Lacs last year and on average, the package was 10-12 Lacs. As per my information, 60 to 70% of students got internships, and it changed based on other facts and requirements.

Placements: 81.31% of students being placed. The highest package for B.Tech Electrical Engineering was around 40 Lacs, while the minimum was 4 Lacs. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Tata Metaliks, Tata Power, Tata Steel, American Express, Ram Group, Schlumberger, AMD, Deloitte, and Aditya Birla visit our campus for placements. The top roles offered for electrical engineering include Electrical Design Engineer, Telecommunication Engineer, Design Engineer, and Electronics Engineer.

Placements: Placements are okay, but not the highest packages. The EE course is tough to learn, and it is the core subject. We also need to learn some external coding languages to improve our skills. Many top companies visit the campus, including Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.

Placements: 80-85% of the students were placed in the course with highest international package of 27-30 lpa and highest domestic package of 25 lpa. Lowest is 6 lpa and average is 12.5 lpa. Top recruiting companies are ONGC, Cairn Oil and gas, RIL, etc. Internships are offered to 70% of students. Top roles offered are drilling engineer, reservoir engineer, production engineer, etc.

Placements: Approximately all the students who sit for placements get placed with an average of 85% companies like Microsoft and Standard Chartered, Walmart hire for roles like SDE, and companies like Reliance, Chevron, and GAIL hire for roles related to core industry. Many consulting companies also offer packages like 40 LPA offers for SDE roles, with the average package being around 15 LPA and the lowest being around 6-7 LPA.

Placements: I joined this college (IITISM Dhanbad) in 2024 in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Last year, in 23, about 80% students were placed. The highest package is 46 LPA and the lowest is 7 LPA in Electronics department. Placements: For the year 2022, our batch got around 95 percent placements from the placement cell itself. The highest package is around 95 lacs per annum, and some other companies like Amazon, Google, etc. gave 45 LPA. All the students average package was around 10 lpa.

Placements: About 82% of people were placed in my branch. The highest package for my course is around 40 lacs. And the average package is 16 to 18 lacs. Tata is the recruiting company for my course. Mining manager is the top role of my branch. Maximum 82% of my seniors get placed in reputed companies.

Placements: In my branch of Mechanical Engineering, 64% of students have been placed. The highest package is ₹520,000 per annum, the lowest package is ₹60,000 per annum, and the average package is ₹150,000 per annum. Students have been placed in many top companies like Tata, Google, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.

Placements: In 2024, the placement rates are down compared to last year. This year, the placement percentage is 83%, and the average package is around 24 Lacs, while the median package offered is around 20 Lacs per annum in the Computer Science and Engineering branch.

Placements: About 60-70 per cent of students were placed in this year, the highest package being of about 50 LPA. The lowest is about 6 LPA. Avg is about 15 LPA. For Core TI and LR Jaguar were the top recruiters and are like dream companies. About 30 per cent got interns.

Placements: This year, 2023–24, the placement was not so good; it was around 48%. But earlier, it was around 82%. The highest package in mechanical was around 40 LPA in IT sector. The top recruiting companies in core are Vedanta, Cairn Oil, Tata Steel, CIL, etc.

Placements: The highest in this year, 2024, is around 51 LPA by Microsoft. The average is around 10 to 17 Lacs per annum. Around 200 companies visited this year. Placements: Last year due to recession only 45% students were placed. The highest package was around 50 LPA and the lowest was 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bajaj, Tata Steel, etc. Internship scenario is not good. Top role offered is HR. Internship scene is not good here but everything is fine.

Placements: In my course, students don't prefer to get placed in our department. Either they compete for any government exam or they go for non-core, which is coding or higher studies such as M.Tech. and Ph.D. so that they can get a high-quality job. But just from B.Tech, what I heard was that the package offered in Core was the highest package, at 12 LPA. And average was 6 LPA.

Placements: I am a 2nd-year student at IIT Dhanbad. Internship opportunities are available in the third year. Around 250–300 students out of 1000 in the B.Tech batch got internships at various companies. This seems low but this is not the case; only those who prepare well for the internship are selected. same is true for the placements. Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. The average package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Dell, Tata, Mahindra, and AMD. Almost 50% of students got internships from our course, and 40% of students got internships.

Placements: IIT Dhanbad is one of the best colleges for B.Tech. Last year, the highest package at Dhanbad was about 50 LPA, the average was 13 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA from my course. Almost 84% are placed, and 76% of students got their internship from many famous companies.
