Other mandatory Criteria: Candidate should have appeared for the Class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Satisfied with education on this campus because this is the best-developing IIT.

Placements: Here, placements are average compared to other IITs because it is a third-generation IIT. But here, faculty and my seniors are trying to get placements from high-profile companies like Microsoft, etc. Having had hope in them at the time of my passing out, we get very good placements.

Infrastructure: Here the campus rooms are too good, but construction is going on, so there is a lot of dust on the campus, but overall it is good. Classes are very nice, and they have also advanced compared to last year. There is also an indoor court on campus.

Faculty: Here, the faculty is also nice; they explain very well. They do their best to develop us. They conduct different exams to sharpen us from time to time. They deserve a higher rating than four. I highly recommend my super juniors join here. Thank you.

I am not satisfied with placements.

Placements: Our college does not provide good placements.

Infrastructure: There are some Wi-Fi issues on this campus, and cell phone signals are very slow.

Faculty: Our teachers are good. The course curriculum is somewhat confusing. Exams are held very strictly according to the main course. It is an autonomous college, so the difficulty of exams is their wish. The teaching quality is good.

Other: I chose this course because mechanical engineering has future growth in the next generation. Mechanical engineering gives scope for government jobs. At IIT, the lab equipment is too good. The course is helpful.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college .

Placements: 80% The lowest is around 4-5 LPA, and the highest is around 9-10 LPA only. Mercedes-Benz, TATA, IBM 5% in tech companies, core companies don't usually give internships here; only tech companies come here in our college. Project engineer, Research and development.

Infrastructure: Facility and infrastructure at IIT Dharwad is average. Wi-Fi is not good here; labs and classrooms are nice, with an average library. Facilities at the hostel are good. The quality of food at the mess is the worst, but in the canteen, it is nice. Medical facilities are not too good, and sports and games here are not good at all; there are no proper grounds here.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is nice. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant. It makes us ready theory-wise, not industry-wise, properly. Semester exams are not too difficult; some questions are challenging. The passing percentage absolutely is 30-35 percent, but relatively, grading is at 15-20%.

Other: For the IIT tag, labs, and mechanical instruments experience, placements, and internship opportunities, more project-based learning. Some of the events like GC, Parsec (tech fest), AARAMBH (Bgmi), IDPL (cricket). Scholarships are given to students based on the given criterion every semester. Many clubs are here at IIT Dharwad (dance, music, all sports clubs, finance club, etc.).

It is a good college and provides good infrastructure and education.

Placements: The placement percentage of our college is good. Nearly 60% of the students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered was 12 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 40 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 7 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Mcafee, CSIR, DRDO, and others were the top recruiters. About 43% of the students got internships in high-profile companies.

Infrastructure: ]The campus is spread on 110 acres and is full of greenery. The college has Wi-Fi, labs, good classrooms, and a huge library. The quality of food served is good, and all types of sports can be played. They provide medical facilities. Hostel rooms are good, and they provide a bed and a table for each student.

Faculty: Professors in our college are good and helpful in their respective courses. They are teaching with good standards. The course is good and helpful for students. The semester exams are a bit hard. This course is helpful to get ready for placements and entrance exams.

Dissatisfied with faculty.

Placements: The placement is okay for mechanical engineering students. The highest package is 19 LPA, while the lowest is 6 LPA. Internships are mostly offered for EE and CSE students, with a few available for mechanical as well. If you're aiming for the research field, this college is a good option.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are decent as it’s a new hostel with updated classrooms. The library is a good place for studying, and new books are constantly added. However, the mess food is not great, and the canteen is just okay. Medical facilities are good, but only indoor sports are available at present.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified but not very helpful, and they tend to burden the students. The teaching quality is average, about 3 out of 5. The relevance of the curriculum varies depending on the student. Semester exams are difficult, with a pass percentage of around 80%.
