Placements: The placement records of the college are very good. More than 80% of the registered students get placed, and if we consider placements department wise, such as computer science and engineering, then placements are close to 100%. Most of the recruiters are from analytics, IT, consulting and finance sectors. The bad part is that there are very less placements in the core engineering and research sectors. The highest domestic salary package in the last placement session was nearly 44 LPA which is f...
Placements: Placements are very good for CSE, ECE, mechanical and other IT related branches. Students of biotech and chemical engineering are placed in research firms. The average salary package offered ranged from around 10-20 LPA. PSUs also visit our college for recruitment. The highest package goes up to Rs. 1.15 crore per annum. Around 70-75% of the students get placed every year.
Placements: Every year, during November and December, several multinational companies like Mercedes Benz, Google, Apple, etc., including a lot of national companies visit our campus and recruit UG, PG, and PhD students. I was a student of mechanical engineering, and when we were in the first year, about 90% of our seniors got recruited in companies like L&T, GM, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and several other companies during campus placements.
Placements: Almost 30 students from the biotechnology department registered for placements last year, of which around 18 were placed, and the placement percentage was 60%. Mostly, they were placed in analytics, consulting, IT and e-commerce firms, and the remaining students opted for masters' programme or other courses. The average salary package offered to the students was reported to be 12.7 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 36 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 8 LPA. This year, the...
Placements: The students get the opportunity to work with the biggest brands, organisations, tech-giants, etc., as every big company visits the institute for on-campus hiring and offers various roles and positions. A lot of alumni of the college are working in high positions and making a big impact on the world.
Placements: Around 120 companies visited IIT Guwahati to offer placements, last year. A total of 537 students from B.Tech registered for placements, out of which around 79% were placed, i.e., around 427 students. The average package offered to the students was about 16 lacs per annum, which is quite satisfying. Specifically, from CSE branch, 78 out of 83 registered students were placed, i.e., 94% of the students, which is above average compared to other colleges.
Placements: Around 70% of the registered students were placed, last year. The average package offered might be around 10 LPA, and the highest package was offered by IOCL, which was 17.5 LPA. Companies like L&T, IOCL, BPCL, Ansys, etc., visited the college to recruit the students of core branches and all the major IT companies visited to recruit the students of non-core branches. The placement cell (CCD, IITG) is very helpful and is the driving force behind the placement season in our college.
Placements: The average package offered for the students of our batch was 19.8 LPA, last year. Packages offered for the students in IITs are good compared to other engineering colleges. The packages offered for the students of the computer science and engineering department are very high. Around 90% of the students get placed from the college.
Placements: Placements for CSE, M&C, and ECE branches are very good. Placements for civil and biotechnology are not up to the mark. Placements for chemical engineering are very good in number. Almost all the students get placed in good companies like Jindal, Fierryetc etc. For the students of core branches, machine learning and artificial intelligence jobs are offered. You can also go for programming jobs (non-core). The highest package offered for chemical engineering is about 40 LPA, and the average packa...
Placements: I have not yet seated for placement, but most of our seniors got placed during the first week of the placements. All core and non-core companies visited our college. The highest salary package offered maybe 36 LPA. GS recruited most of the students for an internship this year. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Google and Microsoft, visited for the internship for the student. I am not aware of the offers given to students.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed. The highest package offered is 14 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. The placement cell takes care of issues regarding placements, and it is very helpful. The companies which visited the college to hire the students of our department are Bajaj, Tata Motors, Mercedes Benz and many others.
Placements: The placements on the campus are amazing with students working tirelessly for days and months. When it comes to the number, 85% of the students got placed in our senior year, and we in the 3rd year have seen the internship season. About 50% of the batch got internship opportunity out of which about 20% would be getting PPO, and almost all of them would be accepted eventually. The salary packages vary from 7 LPA to 2.50 crores per annum, and it depends on the job whether it is domestic or not. Fo...
Placements: All the eligible students from my batch (of 2016) found a job within the 1st week of placement season. In fact, there were companies who couldn't fill all their openings due to their not being enough eligible students. The salaries offered were in the range of 10 - 20 LPA with most companies offering bonus and other benefits on top of the base salary. IITG has an excellent placement record, with a dedicated placement cell which consists of a central group of students in addition to representativ...
Placements: Since the college has a placement cell with the name of CCD (Centre for Career Development), the students need not worry about the internships and the placements. The placements for the last few years and this year have been good with various companies visiting the campus such as Microsoft, Amazon, Paytm, Flipkart, etc., with the average package of Rs. 14 LPA.
Placements: Around 100% placements are provided with good packages in certain branches like CSE, M&C, EC and others. The packages for core branches are not much good compared to the CSE, M&C and EC, but even then, the average package is not much poor. In branches like engineering physics, biotechnology, chemical science and technology, the placements are very less, so generally, the students go for the coding course and join coding companies.
Placements: The placements of our college are very good. The college provides 100% placements, and many companies are being invited to provide placements for the students. The students are offered good salary packages compared to other institutions and universities.
Placements: Placements in IITG in the year 2013 were phenomenal. 100% students were placed, some students opted out of placement as they received offers for pursuing Masters. The highest package was 100 Lacs, the lowest 4 Lacs and average was 8 Lacs, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Direct, Schlumberger, Shell, RIL, Goldmann Sachs, Oracle, Deloitte, Samsung R&D, Flipkart are few companies to name.
