Placements: As a student of Masters course, I can surely say that placement records for the Masters course is quite good. Some specialisations have even recorded nearly 100% placement record. Placements: Mathematics & Computing graduates are well-equipped to foray into various opportunities such as investment banker, data analyst, information technology, market research, financial and business analyst, research and development, quantitative and financial analysis. Placements: I'm doing Masters in Structural Engineering. This year placements for our branch was very good. Almost many of our friends were placed, even I also. Out of 21 Students 14 were placed and some of my friends who are not included in 14 got some government jobs. Companies which are visited are L&T ECC, Spectrum, KEC International, KIIT college, ARKITECHNO Consultants etc. , the highest package was 7.5LPA and least was 4.8LPA. Placement cell is there and it is very useful.

Placements: Being a research-oriented branch, the placements are a bit low for CST. This year, it has been 71.8% with the maximum package of 27 lpa. Several students got selected for MS programs in foreign universities through GRE. Overall, the maximum students got placed in software, analytics companies ranging from Oracle to Wipro.

Placements: IIT Guwahati has good placement records. If students get above 7 CPI, they will be assigned with good placements as reputed companies come to our college and almost 70-80% percent of students are getting recruited. In the batch strength of 650 students around 450 students got placed for an integrated programme. Placements: The placements are very good. About 90 percent of the students get placed each time and the average package is about 12 Lacs. For CSE it is as high as 19 Lacs whereas for MNC it is about 17 Lacs and ECE about 16 Lacs. So IIT Guwahati is one of the best colleges in India in terms of education and placements.

Placements: M.Tech (chemical engineering): Regarding placements, my batch has a strength of 65 out of which just 4 are placed (core company). But on a positive side, if you are good with programming, you will get placed, since the IT companies are open for all.

Placements: The 2017 placement season was very fruitful for the students. More than 75% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was 32 LPA by Schlumberger Oilfield Services, 31.5 LPA by Goldman Sachs. The lowest was 6.5 LPA by Reliance. The average salary was 15 LPA. Placements: As M.Sc is not a professional course, which is a degree course so don't expect the placements. There are hardly 2-3 placements that too by coaching institutes like Akash, fITJEE, Allen, etc. For M.Sc course there is hardly any placements in IIT Guwahati. There is no placement cell for M.Sc students, but the B.Tech placements are good.

Placements: The placements are not good in core companies. The number of core companies coming for placement is very less. The non-core placements are good (especially in coding). Major core companies are Reliance, which creates job opportunity for 6-8 students every year, Schlumberger ( 1 or 2 every year), Honey well, IOCL, etc., visit the college.

Placements: Our seniors got placed in many tech companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, etc., with an average package of 18 LPA. Nearly, more than 450 students got placed out of 500 approximately students registered. Many people from the 3rd year get the internship from the popular companies offering the huge stipends.

Placements: The mechanical M.Tech placements are pretty good. Around 60-70% of the students already placed while many more placements still left in session 2017-2018. The average is 8-10 lacs per annum for the mechanical M.Tech students. The companies which are visiting are Mercedes, Bosch, Mahindra, Tata, Cumins, and more. Other colleges are also recruiting for the teaching posts. No government company so far in my knowledge.

Placements: Around 80% students were placed. 70% got the internship. There is a placement cell which is very useful in bringing more companies and making the process of placements easier. The highest package went up to 80 LPA. Many roles were offered from management jobs to higher level ones such as data analyst etc.

Placements: The placements are absolutely great. The placement season starts in December, and all the top MNCs would be approaching with a huge package (minimum of 10 LPA) to get the absolute perfect guy, but everyone at IIT is great. The placement sessions are well structured.

The highest domestic salary offered was Rs. 36 lakhs per annum out of about 400 domestic offers. There were 4 international offers.

Placements: The placements here are almost 90%, and more than 100 companies visit the campus. Mainly there are software companies, but PSUs are also visited this year, for all the core branches. The highest package went around in 1.2 crores by Microsoft and Oracle. The internship opportunities are also good as many good companies visit here for an internship.

Placements: The placements so far, have been very good for the seniors with a minimum of Rs. 10 lakhs per annum and sometimes a maximum of Rs. 80 lakhs per annum offered by companies like Facebook, Google, Oracle, Infosys and many more. Placements: Placements were good in the year 2015. Almost everyone who opts for the placements and whose CPI is more than 6 get placed. But for our department I.e physics didn't get the core companies, so everybody is satisfied with IT jobs and machine learning jobs.

Placements: The placements are awesome as it is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Almost all students who appear in placements get placed, some go for further studies. The highest paid is almost 1.5 crore. The average salary for the electronics and communication engineering is almost 13 Lacs per annum. The average package for on-campus placements is 19 lakhs per annum. The second preferred branch here is B.Des. The annual package for this is around 16 lakhs per annum.
