IIT Guwahati is the right mixture of old and new, with state of the art infrastructure and single hostel rooms for all students (How awesome is that?). Speaking for the Electronics and Communications department, the professors are great and the research facilities are really good. The rigor is more on the theoretical side of the engineering, placing a base for understanding and further learning. IITG is easily one of the most beautiful campuses in India. It has excellent sports facilities (lawn tennis, basketball, and volleyball, atlectics-4 x 100 m, hockey, badminton, squash, football and table tennis courts, fully equipped gym and an Olympic standard swimming pool). Four years at IIT Guwahati is like a holiday camp at most green and lush landscape. Mountains, lakes, thick vegetation cover, green land, blue sky and a mighty river flowing by the campus. I feel good to be here. This was started as an IIT so its functioning is quite well. It is one the most beautiful campuses in India. The work culture is superb, there is no restriction to work 24 X 7. All the teachers are young and supportive, except for some of them. Placements: Around 92% of students from our branch got placed. The avg package was of 36 LPA. Many big MNC's had come to recruiter us like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, TCS, Qualcomm and may more. Almost 80% of students were selected for internships. The roles were mostly based on SDE and also many of core jobs especially for our EEE branch companies like QUALCOMM intel and many more.

Placements: More than 70 percent of the student placed in our cource. The highest and the lowest package is 140 LPA and 14 LPA. Average package is 25 LPA. More than 60 percent of the student got placed. More than 70 percent of the student got placed. The top recruiting companies are TCS wipro and many more.

Placements: The percentage of students placed was almost above 59% last year. The highest package offered in my course is 40.92 LPA. The lowest package offered in my course is nearly 11 LPA. Placements: In our college, placements were good for core companies but excellent for non-tech companies. Some students were placed in top companies. The salary package offered was 15 LPA. This branch was research-oriented and did not provide good placements. If you want to go to the academic section, it would be very helpful. Opportunities were provided for internships.

Placements: Companies such as TCS, Airtel, Adobe, Google, Apple, etc. are the top recruiters.
