Q:   What is the IIT Jodhpur application process?

A: 

To get admission to the courses offered at IIT Jodhpur, candidates are required to visit the official website of respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form in online mode. The step-wise IIT Jodhpur application process is given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT Jodhpur. On its homepage, click on ‘Admissions’.

Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Now’ button to proceed further.

Step 3: The registration page opens up. Click on ‘New User Register Here’. Fill out the registration form with all the details, including name, email ID, contact number, course preference, etc., along with other educational details.

Step 4: Upload all the required documents in PDF format. Also, upload a passport-size photograph and signature and JPG/ JPEG format.

Step 6: Complete the application process by paying an application fee using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Furthermore, for BTech/MTech/MSc, candidates need to complete the respective entrance exam application process as mentioned below:

  • For BTech, aspirants need to complete the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The application fee for boys is INR 625 and INR 325 for girls.

For BTech, as per the JoSAA R6 2022 cutoff for general category students, the closing rank for popular courses like CSE was 2430, and 3257 for AI and data science. The cutoff for Bioengineering went till 14,933. In comparison to 2021, the rank for the CSE course went from 2897 to 2430 in 2022. IIT JAM 2022 closing rank in the Fourth Admission List for MSc Physics specialisation at IIT Jodhpur stood at 600. A: 

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
