- Read moreCandidate must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class XII (or equivalent examination), i.e. in either 2023 or 2024: Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with a minimum of five subjects and with the mentioned marks in aggregate (65% for PwD candidates) from a recognized board. OR Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with minimum of five subjects and be within the category-wise (category as per the central list) top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination. Other mandatory Criteria: Candidate who had appeared in Class 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear irrespective of the combination or number of subjects attempted/offered. However, if the exam Board of Class 12th or equivalent declared the results for the academic year 2021-22 on or after September 21, 2022, then the candidates of that Board who appeared for their Class 12th or equivalent exam in 2022 are also eligible appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024, provided they meet all the other eligibility criteria. In case the exam Board of class 12th or equivalent declared the results for the academic year 2021-22 before September 21, 2022 but the result of a particular candidate was withheld, then the candidate will not be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024. NOTE: List of Qualifying Examinations (QE): - The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). - Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a Board or University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. - Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. - Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. - Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU. - H.S.C. vocational examination. - In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2023 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024.
The candidates who were allocated a seat in an IIT through JoSAA 2023 but (i) did not report “online” / at any “reporting centre” OR, (ii) withdrew before the last round of seat allotment, OR, (iii) had their seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, are eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2024.

Review of IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost everyone gets placed in our course. The pacakge offered may vary. The highest salary pacakge offered ranges from 50 LPA to 60 LPA. The minimum salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, hostels have high-speed Wi-Fi. The infrastructure is satisfactory. Mess food quality is average. There is a canteen as well where students can buy food. Night canteen facility is also there. There is a hospital where students can get medicines free of cost for normal problems like fever, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified in this college. They will encourage students to ask questions, and think innovatively. The earlier course curriculum is not that relevant but these days, it is being improved. Semester exams are difficult in online mode as compared to offline. Except for some courses, exams are average i.e. by studying 2-3 hours daily students can score well.

It offers the best all-round college experience in India.
Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed in my course, and a few went for higher studies. The highest package in my course was 42 LPA, and the lowest package was 8 LPA. The average package was 14 LPA for the course. The top recruiting companies in my course include Bajaj, ITC, HUL, Jaguar Land Rover, TATA Steel etc. As high as 50% of the students from my course received internship offers in various companies, and as high as 90% of them received PPOs.
Infrastructure: The academic facilities are top-notch and one of the best in India. Wi-Fi speed is great, and LAN is also available at most places. It hosts one of the largest libraries in India. The labs are up to date with the latest advancements in the fields. The hostel rooms are good in some of the hostels but are decent in others. The mess food is a little disappointing, but the canteens make up for it. The sports and recreation facilities are excellent, but the medical facilities are miserable, which should improve after the inauguration of the new hospital and medical institute.
Faculty: The faculty members are the best in India. They are extremely qualified and are leaders in their fields, which can be seen clearly from the grants that are received by the institution. Some of the teachers are rude. The curriculum is good if you are interested in the course. People without an interest feel the curriculum to be abysmal and irrelevant. In terms of industrial jobs, the courses align well with the requirements. The semester exams are good and taken in an organised manner. Good preparation is required for the same. Passing is not difficult, but getting the highest grades is difficult in this course specifically.
Other: I chose this course because of my genuine interest in robotics and allied fields. The curriculum had decent courses aligned with my interests. The course could be improved with a little more practical aspects so that learning is more holistic. The extracurricular activities at IIT Kharagpur are the best in India. The multicultural interactions and large scale of events, fests and competitions are the best learning platforms one can ask for. The alumni network is very strong here, which leads to a variety of funding sources for different initiatives. The student bonding is indeed the best here because of the sheer amount of time we spend together.

Other: IIT Kharagpur, the torch-bearer of IIT system, since its establishment in 1951 has continued to boost technological foundation of India. One can only experience the uniqueness of KGP campus after spending sometime in this community. The greenery all around and a world-class infrastructure, which is expanding day-by-day, bring it at par with other international colleges. One can find a large number of windows of opportunities, whether it be in terms of exploring your extra-academic skills of any sort or for an opportunity of higher education or others. One can come across some very faculty of Indian education system (P.S.-This is with regards to mechanical engineering department) who are always ready to cooperate and motivate you.
