Overview of IIT KHARAGPUR.

Placements: One of the best placements in Indian colleges, with companies like microsoft, Adobe, Mercedes and Google picking up students from different departments. Posts like analyst were offered in many companies. Many students were able to grab the PPO Offers. Almost 100% students got internship offers from multinationals. As expected CS department got the highest package as well as the highest average package, followed by EC and ee departments.

College is very good. Environment of the institute helps in the overall development.

Placements: This year overall placements are really good. Specifically if I talk about my branch there are very less chance in core field but I would say placement in non core are good. If I talk about average placement it is about 10 -12 Lacs per annum. Also there is good chance to get a foreign training or go to abroad to study Ph.D. or MS from good University in core field from this institute.

Absolutely good because of all facilities they provide.

Placements: Good placements are available. The seniors are also very good and helpful. On an average,50% to 60% students got placed from every batch. The companies like Google, Facebook and many more companies have come here for placements. The placement cell is also very good and active.

Average faculty, very good placements in 2018, and good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements in this session of December 2017 went great. There were a total of 1100 students who got placed during the first 13 days. This season, some top companies visited our campuses such as Microsoft, Apple, GS, Abbott, IBM, and Barclays. Out of which, I got placed on the fifth day.

The department may not do justice, but there are opportunities and the willingness to learn.

Placements: The placements can get tricky for this department, but if you work hard and build some expertise in the area like coding or finance etc. There is a good scope for placement otherwise there are is no specific department jobs available in the college. One needs to be exploring continuously and find a direction to gain experience so that their resume gets well-developed for placements.

The review of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Placements: More than 75% of the students got placed as many opt for the higher studies as well. The packages are lucrative. However, the one-crore plus packages are extremely rare, and one needs to work extremely hard for a good package. For the CSE branch, the average package is generally around 25LPA, whereas the overall average package is generally around 10LPA.

It is awesome campus with natural beauty and extremely good environment.

Placements: Normally, students are placed in non-core companies as the average package given by non-core companies are much higher than that of core companies. Students also study data analytics, finance, economics, and marketing. In the coming years, economics will grow as the MNCs are grown in the last few years.

Placements: I don't want to make you hopeless, but it's better not to expect much from the placement. Only one company came from the core field, but for the off-campus, the core companies will not show so much interest. Many of the non-core company will come, but for that too, you have to have skills like the programming, algorithm, machine learning and problem-solving skills, good communication, etc., then only you can get the placements. Review of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Placements: Many companies visit our college for recruitment, but they mostly belong to data analytics, finance or consulting. Amongst core companies, most of them are available for EC or computer science departments, while very few companies belong to other departments. Most of the core companies prefer dual degree students as compared to 4-year B.Tech students.

Placements: Placements were less for my batch. Only 60% students got placed. I don't remember the highest but the least package was 3.5 LPA. Companies that visited are Goldman Sachs, American Express, Opera Sol, Capital One, Experience, Accenture, Citicorp, DIT University, Parul University. In finance- DBS Bank, Capital Services, Credit Suisse, Bharti Softbank, Edelweiss, Barclays, Futures First, and World Quant Research Private Limited.

Satisfied with faculty and industrial support

Placements: The placement scenario in IIT-KGP is on an average, although B.Tech placements are good. But for M.Tech, it is the worst. Only 40% students got placed in recent years, so they have only one option that is Ph.D or preparation for PSUs through GATE. Otherwise, software placements are also available. There are very few departments which get only 30% job in B.Tech, so it totally depends on the department and the current year situation. I want to give one example i.e. if one B.Tech pass out from here...

Placements: Placement was average in our department. Less than 50% got placed. Core company mainly is Coal India Limited but it did not take more than 12 students out of 60. Many students opted for software and analytics companies.
