Yes, there are many other courses for which the selection criteria are different and the prescribed entrance exam is also other than JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. Below are some of the courses offered at IIT Madras along with their eligibility criteria and entrance exam:

• MTech: IIT Madras offers a two-year full-time M.Tech programme across various specialisations. The institute inducts candidates for the M.Tech programmes based on valid GATE scores followed by the counselling process.
• MBA: For admission to the full-time two year MBA programme at IIT Madras, candidates are required to appear for the CAT exam. Candidates based on their CAT scores will be shortlisted for the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (PI) round.
• MSc: IIT Madras accepts admission to the MSc programme based on a valid score/ rank in the IIT-JAM exam.

IIT Madras BSc admission is entrance-based as the institute primarily accepts the rank and scores of the JEE Main examination for admission to its full-time BSc programme. However, if candidates wish to apply for the integrated BS plus MS programme, then they can apply for admission through the scores of the IISER Aptitude Test. Therefore, you can join the BSc course at IIT Madras without giving the JEE.

IIT Madras offers around 100 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree courses. Candidates seeking admission to the BSc programme offered at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras are required to meet the IIT Madras BSc eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 75% aggregate from a recognised Board can apply for admission to the BSc programme.

For IIT Madras MSc admission, candidates need to apply online via IIT JAM. After successful registration, candidates are then required to appear for the entrance exam. IIT JAM exam 2023 is scheduled for February 12. IIT Guwahati, the exam conducting authority will release the admit card on January 10.

IIT Madras provides hostel facility both for boys and girls. It has 19 hostels, out of which four are for girls and 15 are for boys. The facilities of the hostel include sports, music rooms, tech rooms, and a TV room. It also has a garden and a library.

IIT Madras conducts an annual fest called Shaastra. It is an annual technical festival organised to celebrate unconstrained thinking and love for the spirit of engineering.

Another cultural festival organised by IIT Madras is Saarang, It is the largest cultural fest in India held every year in the month of January.
