My views on Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad.
Placements: Overall, under graduation, almost all students are placed. 90.28 percent of students get placed every year, and the majority of the students are from computer science and engineering. The highest package is 46.16 LPA, which is from a student in CSE. The lowest package is 6 LPA and the average package is 13.93 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Google, Amazon, etc. Every student at the college gets an internship opportunity from different companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is good there are some buildings that are a little bit old in which the infrastructure is not good and the new buildings, like academic buildings and new hostels, that are given to Ph.D. scholars and fourth-year students, are good. 24-hour Ethernet facilities are available in labs and classrooms. And the classrooms have good infrastructure. The hostels that are provided for first-year students are not good because they are old. There are all types of sports available and there are inter-hostel and inter-IIT competitions also available.
Faculty: The faculty who teach us are very experienced, very talented and friendly; they clarify doubts in offline as well as online and in the training and placement cell, they help us very much. The course in mechanical engineering is the best option for industry purposes, and the faculty also prepares us to be the best in every aspect. There will be mid- and end-semester exams for each semester, and the percentage is 30 percent. The exams are not too difficult; we can easily complete them.
Other: There are almost 5000 students on the whole campus from different states in India and there are also students from countries like Nepal, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. I chose this because this is the best option for my rank in JEE Advanced. There are annual fests and there are many clubs that are very useful for students in their development. The city is near the college, and there is a transport facility that is easily available.

Choose this college because its all about IIT.
Placements: In the year 2022-23, 94.89% of students got placements in B.Tech (137 students registered for placement, out of which 130 got placed). In my course, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, 29 out of 30 registered students got placements (96.67%). The highest package on campus was 46.15 LPA (2 students got this package, 1 from CSE and the other from Mechanical). The lowest package was 6 LPA. The average package was 13.95 LPA for the entire B.Tech program, while for Mechanical Engineering, the average package was 11.8 LPA. Top recruiters included Sprinkler, Mathwork, Arista, Salesforce, Paytm, AirAsia, Tata Elxsi, ICICI Bank, Jio, Bharat Electronics, Hitachi, Accenture, etc. Roles were offered in IT, Analytics, Core Engineering, and other sectors as well.
Infrastructure: In IIT Palakkad, top-notch infrastructure is available, like Wi-Fi connection all over the campus and in the hostel as well. There are different departmental labs, and the computer lab is accessible 24 hours a day (there are no restrictions on timing for using the computer lab). The library is accessible during allowed timings only. In the hostel, you get washing machines for washing (no charges), and there is a doctor available for students (free) along with free medical insurance during your degree program. The college has signed MOUs with nearby hospitals, so you get free medical treatment. There are two grounds available for playing sports, and coaches for different sports are also available. They also train students for inter IIT sport events. Necessary instruments for playing any sports are provided as well.
Faculty: As I'm studying in IIT, there shouldn't be any doubt about teachers. Teachers are very helpful and well-qualified. According to your course, you will be assigned a faculty advisor who directs you in your career. The course curriculum is very relevant to industry standards. There is an event named Industry-Academic Conclaves which happens once a year where students interact with industry experts. Semester exams are easy, there is no need for doing extra work if you pay attention in class, and the grading system is relatively so passing marks vary subject to subject.
Other: I have chosen this course due to the reputation of IIT across the world. This course offers electives in different subjects as well. So, even though I'm in Mechanical, I'm interested in the data science field, and the college offers different electives in the data science field which I can choose to boost my career. Extracurricular activities are ongoing throughout the year in college, arranged by different clubs of the college. The fest is also fabulous. Talking about the campus and its connectivity, IIT Palakkad gets its permanent campus in September 2023, which is located just beside the Sahyadri mountain range (so the name of the campus is Sahyadri). The campus is near the airport (60-70 km) and bus stand (10-15 km), so connectivity to the campus is good.

It is best if you are not getting any other IIT.
Placements: About 98% of people get placed from our college. The highest salary package offered is 1.25 crore per annum, the lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 9 LPA. There are many product-based companies and IIT's major recruiters like Amazon, Uber, Microsoft, and DRDO visited our college. Although all students get placed. The computer science branch gets the highest salary package ever.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi services are available 24 hours available in classrooms and the library. The workplace and learning environment are also very nice. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available in the mess. The quality of the food is neither so good nor so poor. As you have many varieties, you can easily choose one.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and always encouraging us. In labs, we work on research papers. They focus on practicals more instead of theory. During weeks, we have assessments and assignments. Our teachers don't focus more on teaching. We need to study ourselves only as every college does.
Other: I pursue the mechanical course because of my rank. If you are getting computer science just blindly go for that. They also provide scholarships like full fee remission, caste scholarship, and Pragati scholarship. Every thing is perfect. We can call IIT pallakad as baby IIT also.

Good placements, good faculty, no ragging and a good atmosphere.
Placements: Placements are good. Since our college is a new college the placements are low compared to other old IITs but it is improving each year. There are good internship opportunities. For Mechanical internship opportunities are low in the second year as compared to CSE and EE.
Infrastructure: We have free Wi-Fi access. Construction of our Permanent campus is going on. So we are staying at two different campuses. First and second-year students at Ahalia and third and fourth-year students at Nila campus. The quality of food is average. We have medical facilities. There are almost all types of games.
Faculty: The faculty we have is really good. All teaching staff has a minimum Ph.D. degree. The course curriculum makes students ready for industry. The faculty members are very skilled. We can approach them with any kind of doubts. The students have free access to software like MatLab, fusion 360, etc. Practical knowledge is imparted through lab practicals.
Other: The seniors are very friendly and helpful. There is no ragging on the campus. Petrichor is the name of our techno-cultural fest. We have many extra curricular activities including NSO and NSS.

It is an institute for developing a gentleman.
Placements: The first batch of the institute is in the 3rd year, so there are no placements yet. But there is a high chance to get good placements for coming batches because many institute bodies are focusing on that thing. Many students do their internships in the 2nd year which is a very nice thing, and some of them go abroad to do the internship and get the knowledge.
Infrastructure: Now the institute is functioning in a temporary campus, but still, it has good facilities. In two years, the whole campus will shift to its own new campus which will be a great campus. But it still has all the labs. There are 2 to 3 hospitals on this campus. All the hostels and academic block have Wi-Fi facilities. It has all the basic needs that should be in a college.
Faculty: Here, teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Institute gives all the technical and direct support to the students. Some teachers have very good teaching experience and came from IIT, Madras for teaching. The curriculum is fixed very carefully.

Q:   What makes IITs different than other top Engineering institutes in India?

A:

Indian Institute of Technology or IITs are world renowned Engineering institutes network. The competitive selection procedure has built its reputation in the field. As it helps the institute in filtering out the best of students. Admission to IITs is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). As per past years' statistics, only 1% or 2% of the total applicants get a seat in an IIT.

Moreover, IITs also enjoy good partnerships/collaborations with industry partners. These connections allow students to get opportunity to work on collaborative research projects, internships, and job placements for students. With this type of industry exposure, students get a chance to enhance their practical skills.

Some more reasons that distinguish IITs from other institutes are highlighted below:
