It is good college if one want to do research and Ph.D. It is bad for placement.

Placements: It the worst in term of placement. It only focuses on B.Tech for placement. The Training and Placement department is not good. They invite vary few company that too not core machenical. Students mainly go for preparation or join some other IIT for Ph.D. The research is also not very relevant fir industries, it mainly focus on theory.

Exactly, I am not satisfied when compared to old IIT. I am happy with the campus and environment.

Placements: The placements are average when compared to seniors batch students placement. For electrical students, the percentage of placement is almost 82%. The highest salary offered by different companies was 15 to 20 lacs per annum, and the minimum was 4 to 10 lacs per annum. The companies like Amazon, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hyundai, etc., visited the campus.

'Moderately Contended' because of good facilities, fair placements and faculties but dire sometimes.

Placements: The placements of our senior batch were quite well. Electrical and mechanical department students were placed well because more PSUs visited our campus. The placement percentage of our senior batch was around 85% and ours is around 80-85%. The highest pay package in our batch is 45 lakhs p.a., the average being 8 lakhs p.a. and the lowest being 5 lakhs p.a. The companies like Amazon, Arista, DE Shaw, Infosys, TCS (Digital Hiring), Indus Valley Partners, MAQ Softwares, ISRO, HPCL, Mahindra, Delo...
