The college does not have a permanent campus and classes are currently held at two temporary campuses - JUT for 1st year students and JUPMI for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students, as well as 1st year girls. However, despite the lack of a permanent campus, the college provides various facilities such as hostels, Wi-Fi, ECE and CSE labs, classrooms, libraries and sports and game facilities.

The hostels are structured and well-maintained, with AC rooms and Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food is reportedly good and the college provides medical facilities on campus. Additionally, the lab equipment is sufficient and the institute has a library available for students.

At the undergraduate level, the college offers BTech courses to students in various specialisations. To be eligible for Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi’s BTech (Hons) programme, a candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics with a minimum of 75 percent aggregate. Seats are limited so apply early for admission to various courses at IIIT Ranchi.

It provides a hostel to both girls and boys who come across to study here in IIIT Ranchi. The campus includes a sports complex, Computer Lab, and Electronics Lab.
