It is the best private college in West Bengal. I would recommend students to join this college.
Placements: Placements are good in this college. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 45 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is no campus life at IEM. Buildings are also small. There are 3 buildings i.e., Ashram Building, Gurukul Building, and Management Building. Laboratories are good in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are good in this college. All the teachers are available for specific subjects. There are also extra classes and attendance is mandatory. Uniform is also compulsory, and students are well discipline which helps to get placements easily. There is no ragging issue in this college.
Other: This course is a newly introduced course by TCS so I opted for this course. This course is a mixture of the corporate and IT sectors. Students get placements for web developers, management, etc. This course also target students in the banking sector. Our campus location is very good. Conferences are also held for many subjects which help students to gather knowledge.

It is good for placements, but I am not satisfied with the faculty members.
Placements: The placements in our college are really good. Students from the 7th semester become eligible for campus placements. Many famous companies visit the campus for placements, and some of them are Abzooba, Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS Digital and TCS Ninja. The highest package offered is 40 LPA by Amazon, but it was off-campus. Getting an internship from this college is not easy as no company visits the college for internships. You can get an internship through online websites. The average package was 4-5 LPA, and the lowest package was 2-3 LPA.
Infrastructure: I have not attended many offline classes due to lockdown. The campus is not very big, and it is like a school. The library and labs are not really big, but they are good. The college provides Wi-Fi and free books in the library. I can't comment on hostel facilities as I have not taken the hostel from college.
Faculty: The teachers are good and well-qualified. You can find both types of teachers, ones who will teach you really well and will make you understand the concepts easily, and the others who are rude and can't make bonds with students. The course curriculum is relevant as it deals with computers and business. Semester exams are really tougher than some of the NITs.
Other: I chose this course because it has computer science. According to my rank, it was the only available computer-related course. This course deals with both computers and business, and it can help me get a good placement. In this course, there should be more weightage for computer-related subjects than other subjective subjects as those subjective subjects take a lot of time. I have not attended the offline classes much due to lockdown, so I can't comment on fests and campus life. This year, the college tries to provide some scholarships to students who lost their parents due to covid.

Does IEM Kolkata live up to its name and expectations?
Placements: IEM has a placement percentage of over 90%. The average package offered mostly varies between 4-7 LPA. Mostly mass recruiting companies take the majority of students, and the highest packages are often secured by students through their own caliber and connections. The top companies include TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, and similar service-based firms.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below average. The campus area is almost non-existent, with no proper space to hang out or relax. There is no proper cafeteria or good services available. However, the labs are decent, with mostly functioning computers and instruments. Hostel services are available, but they are very strict and not highly recommended. Renting a PG or flat near the college is a better option, in my opinion.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are decent. Most faculty members are helpful, but only if you have the courage to ask for help; otherwise, you might be ignored like most. The curriculum consists of a mix of subjects, some old and irrelevant, while others are modern and relevant, like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In a semester, there are four exams (two midterms/internals, one practical, and one final). The exams are of moderate difficulty.
Other: I chose this college because I did not get into Jadavpur University through WBJEE, and IEM has a reputation for better campus placements compared to other private colleges. The campus area is almost non-existent, and there is no proper recreational space available. It feels suffocating and congested because it is just a building with little to no campus area. Multiple events and fests are conducted throughout the year, including IEMPACT, Smart Make Festival, and Innovation.

There is no campus life. There are strict surroundings. Our college is just for placements.
Placements: Approximately more than 80% of students get placed with an average salary package of around 6 LPA-7 LPA. Many students also get a salary package of above 40 LPA. Companies that hire students from here are TCS, Mahindra, IBM, Cognizant and many other tech giants. Internships are also available for every year of students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the campus is very small as it contains only one basketball court. However, there are 3 buildings of IEM in Salt Lake Sector 5, which is a tech hub of Kolkata. Library facilities are very good, and you can keep a book as long as you want as there is no time limit.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very supportive and helpful in nature. Semester exams are quite tough as you need to study well to maintain a good CGPA. However, teachers also support you very much. Teachers are well qualified and have a master's from IITs and from Jadhavpur University. Our current principal is the former principal of IIT Bombay.
Other: There is no campus crowd. There are limited seats, and campus surroundings are good. There is good connectivity.

This college is the good option for studies.
Placements: Around 90% of students are placed. More than 95% of students get placed in the CSE branch. The highest salary package offered is 72 LPA from off-campus. The average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 5.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Cognizant, etc. Amazon also visit to hire few students.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are not good, due to the small campus. But everything is available on-campus like Wi-Fi, laboratories, library, etc. The hostel is not on-campus i.e it is outside the campus. The students can live in PG and flat. Everything is available near the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are curriculum are good. Being an autonomous college they will include some non-credit skill-enhancing paper-like SDP i.e skill development for professionals, ESP i.e essential studies for professionals which will be an additive skill for our career. Moreover, 10 subjects in both semesters of the first year will be a burden for students. Some faculty members are good, but some are not good. Exams are everywhere but this is the phase of everyone life so they cannot skip it.
Other: After giving WBJE exam, the top rank holder gets to this college.
