A college life worth living and enjoying once.

Placements: Placements are offered by top companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Mediamint, etc. Various job roles include software engineer ( Trainee), graduate engineer, assistant software engineer etc. were offered. More than 75-80% students have been placed. The college themselves take the responsibility and initiate step in getting placements.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, Labs, etc. Available in every block. A good classroom environment to flourish. A centralised library from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm with full access to all kinds of books. Books can be issued by students for self study and references. Various facilities available in the hostel are free Wi-Fi, 22-23 hrs electricity, water etc. Cleaning of room on daily basis. Various indoor games available with space for outdoor games as well. Food available in mess as well as canteens, medical facilities for all hostel students 24x7.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified as well as cooperative and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Needs some more scope of skill improvement regarding students to be industry ready. No difficulty in passing the exams. 33-40% is the passing percentage required.

Other: Civil engineering being a core branch has wide range of scope.

Overall it is a good college and one of the best private institutes in Odisha.

Placements: Placements in SOA University are quite good. There is a placement cell that governs all the activities regarding placements and campuses. The placement cell is very useful for students, and it is a separate department. It helps students in all the placement activities. Around 85% of the students of our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA which is quite good for a fresher.

Infrastructure: Our college has all the necessary infrastructures and equipment. I feel proud to be a student of this college. Classrooms are well maintained. They have smart boards and projectors, and the room is air-conditioned. The campus has free Wi-Fi. Laboratories are good, clean and are sufficient, and have very sophisticated equipment. It also has sports centers. There are also hostel facilities for both ladies and gents.

Faculty: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. The teaching quality is also very good. Faculty members are well experienced and they explain so well. The course curriculum is updated, and it includes all the recent developments in the field. We are given proper training about dentistry such that it will help us in the future.

Other: We have spent around 8-9 months in the college before the pandemic, and these months were excellent. Students can get engaged in any club they want. It has many kinds of clubs like robotics club, Srishti club, music club, radio club, etc.

Excellent faculty with good placement in 2017.

Placements: Very good placement. Placement staffs are very good. They provide many facilities to the student. Good for the students in any branch. All branch all company are coming for recruitment. 100% placement. 80%student got internships in many companies. Microsoft, Google like companies are coming.

Infrastructure: Very good facilities and infrastructure available for your Department. All classrooms are fully AC. FULL campus is Wi-Fi. Good quality food available in hostel so don't worry. Sports and games facility is also available for all students. Canteen facility is very good.

Faculty: All teacher are excellent in each and every Department. All teachers are helpful in each and every topic. They take care of student. So don't worry teaching faculty is excellent. It is course curriculum relevant and it makes the student industry-ready.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the placements of the civil department.

Placements: The placement procedure in the civil engineering department was very poor. Few companies, like Royal Infrastructure, SA Infrastructure, etc., visited our college to recruit students. Out of all students, less than 10 students got placed, and girls from the civil engineering department were not allowed to attend placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was quite good enough, along with the surrounding. Wi-Fi facilities are available throughout the campus premises, and labs and classrooms were clean. Labs have adequate requirements which are needed for the students. There is a central library, and medical facilities are also available here.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, qualified, but the teaching quality varies from teachers. Some teachers were very clear in their subjects, whereas some lack that quality and confidence. The course curriculum was relevant up to some extent, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready.

Other: Our college organises events and fests during the Genesis event. The connectivity of our college was good enough, and the campus and the surrounding are also good. Some extracurricular activities are conducted here, where students used to perform. The college also has separate clubs for those activities like robotics club, music club, envogue, etc.

Review of SOA - Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University.

Placements: Placements at SOA for civil engineering is not that good because a very few companies visit our campus to recruit students. The best thing is that if you are a good performer, then you can get job easily. You will get very good analytical skills during these four years.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at SOA is very beautiful. It has a huge campus and has a different department for different courses. So you will never feel alone as the campus is full of students. Apart from that, the university is in the city so students who come from different states won't face any difficulties in finding any flats nearby.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well-qualified and PhD holders. The seminar which used to be organised at the campus mainly invites speakers from the foreign university, so it's very interesting to interact with them. People are from different background so you can interact and share each other's experience.
