Jayam College: a student's opinion.
Placements: The highest package offered is INR 6 lpa, the lowest package is INR 2.2 lpa, and the average package is INR 3.2 lpa for the mechanical engineering department. There is a very active placement cell to invite more recruiters, and all clear students are placed in the best companies. If you have extraordinary communication skills, you can also be placed in the best company. Top roles are quality engineer, production engineer, and management for the mechanical department. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Royal Enfield. And the placement percentage is above 80 percent; if you clear all engineering subjects, you can also get placed at the best company with a good salary package.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is best, as are the hostel facilities, and the labs are good and in working condition. In the computer labs, very basic computers are used. But, for educational purposes, that is enough, and the internet connection is available on the whole campus, but only in labs and staffrooms. All the books are presented in the library department books, and as well as other books, the medical facilities are not much more extensive. But a first aid kit is available, the food presented in the mess is very good in quantity and quality, and they are giving sports and games hours to reduce the stress of students and maintain their physical and mental health.
Faculty: Very friendly staff and very qualified; they have completed Masters degrees and Ph.D. The teaching quality is very good; when we reach teachers at any time, they are supportive and doubt-clearing; and the course curriculum is very interesting for mechanical engineering because of the number of practical sessions. The students are industry-ready if they do the practical sessions perfectly; the practical sessions teach us how to operate the machines perfectly, like lath, drilling, welding, milling, and many other machines. The semester exams are not very difficult if you can study for one month properly, and then you can pass the semester exams easily.

Experience at Jayam college.
Placements: In my opinion, the placement is good and the salary package is average for the mechanical engineering department compared to other departments like computer science and information technology. The average package is INR 2.2 LPA for the mechanical engineering department, and the mechanical students are also placed in IT companies. They are providing the best placement training to us, and the placement percentage is also high. All the students are placed, and the internships are available only during semester holidays.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but the hostel facilities are very good from my point of view, like the hostel rooms and water facilities, the food provided to the hostellers, and the Wi-Fi available on our campus. They are giving more importance to sports. So, they give students a separate hour to play sports and games and maintain the physical activity of students. There is a well-stocked library present, and the classrooms are very neat and large, with 60 seats, and the projector is provided for every single class room. Mess and canteen food is acceptable, a variety of foods are presented, and the foods are hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers have more than 10+ years of experience and the very best teaching quality. They also support extracurricular activities, and they are teaching with practical sessions to understand what the exact concept is. The students can easily understand the lesson, and the course syllabus is very relevant to us, especially the mechanical engineering department, because of the higher number of practicals conducted. The pass percentage is above 80 percent, and the semester exams are not very difficult. If you self-study by yourself, you can pass the semester exams easily. The teachers are very friendly. And the internal exams are conducted every two weeks.

Review of Jayam College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: The placement process is very cool and impressive, and they provide separate placement training for all department students to place with the best company. The placement percentage is above 80 percent, and the highest package is INR 6 lpa for the mechanical engineering department. Other departments like CSE have a higher package compared to the mechanical department, and the lowest package is INR 2.2 lpa for our department. Yes, we go on internships every semester break, and the top roles are quality manager and quality manager. In the current passed-out batch, all the students were placed in good companies with a good salary package.
Infrastructure: In my opinion, the hostel and infrastructure are good, and the food available in the canteen and mess is very good, both quality-wise and quantity-wise. There are very neat and clean classrooms, and every break hour, the classrooms are cleaned. The internet connection is available on campus but is used only in labs and staffrooms. The water facilities are very good; all types of water are available, like hot and cold water. The medical facilities are like a first aid kit. They have more sports and are conducting more sports days at our college. The hostel rooms are three-bed sharing, and the rooms are very neat and clean. Overall, the infrastructure and hostel facilities are very good.
Faculty: Very knowledgeable teachers teach us, and the teaching quality is very good. But if you have to do some self-study by yourself to pass the semester exams, if you listen properly when the teachers are teaching, you can also pass the semester exam. The course curriculum is very good, and the syllabus makes the students operate all the machines in our mechanical engineering department. The practical sessions make the course very interesting, and the semester exams are not very difficult in our college; the pass percentage is above 80 percent. The teachers are very helpful to the whole college.
