Q:   Can I get direct admission at Jesus and Mary College?

A:

No, you cannot get direct admission at Jesus and Mary College. The admission to the college is done through online mode, and the candidates must be eligible based on merit in the last qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria for admission to UG programs require candidates to complete the last qualifying examination with the required percentage. The admission to BCom (H) requires candidates to have studied mathematics in the 12th standard. The college offers UG, PG, and certificate courses, and the admission criteria are either entrance exams or merit-based. The college has a specific admission schedule, including registration, application, and document submission dates. The college is committed to 50% reservation for minority students who are Christians and provides directions for reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category students.

Q:   Are admissions at Jesus and Mary College entrance-based or merit-based?

A:

Jesus and Mary College (JMC), located in New Delhi, India follows enterance-based admissions. The candidate's 12th score is also taken into consideration. The eligibility criteria for most of the courses is a candidate must have cleared 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant stream from a recognized board.

After that candidates have to apply for CUET exams conducted by the college. Admission to the courses is based on these CUET exams only.

Q:   Can students join Jesus and Mary College directly without any entrance exam?

A:

As last update in January 2022, admission policies can vary from year to year and may be subject to change. Jesus and Mary College (JMC), like many other colleges in India, typically requires students to undergo an entrance examination or meet certain eligibility criteria for admission into its undergraduate programs. These entrance exams could be conducted at the national level, like the Common Entrance Test (CET) or university-level exams conducted by the University of Delhi.

However, colleges may have provisions for direct admission under certain circumstances such as reserved seats for specific categories, sports quota, or merit-based admissions. It's best to check the latest admission guidelines provided by Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi to confirm the current admission process and eligibility criteria. You can visit Shiksha's website for more information.

Q:   Does Jesus and Mary College accept CUET score?

A:

As of my last update in January 2022, Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in New Delhi, India, is affiliated with the University of Delhi. At that time, the University of Delhi primarily admitted students based on merit lists derived from board examination scores (such as CBSE or other relevant boards), rather than through entrance exams like the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

However, educational policies and admission procedures can change over time, so I would recommend checking the official website of Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi for the most up-to-date information regarding their admission process and acceptance of the CUET score.

Beautiful infrastructure and variety of opportunities.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placements with the lowest package of 1.8 LPA and the highest of 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, ICICI Bank, etc. Internship opportunities are available at renowned hospitals like Fortis, SGRH, Holy Family, etc. After doing this course, one can pursue an MBA in hospital administration and become a hospital administrator, a teacher, professor, clinical manager, healthcare manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of JMC is very good. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms with projectors, etc. are there. A beautiful big library is there with a variety of books available. JMC doesn't provide a hostel. The medical facilities present in the college are decent. A variety of games and sport competitions are also held. The sports faculty teachers are really, really supportive and good. Canteen food is sometimes good, sometimes average. We also have chaat corners available which offer papdi chat, bhelpuri, golgappe, dahi bhalle, and sev puri ; ).
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, intelligent, and supportive. Sometimes, there are also some teachers whose lessons are a bit difficult to understand. Otherwise, teaching quality is good only if the student is attentive enough. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the student industry-ready. The semester exams are of easy to moderate level. One can find it difficult if not studied properly. Otherwise, the exams are not difficult at all. You just need to study properly and be attentive during the lectures.
Other: The best thing about this course is that you can serve patients without being a doctor. You will learn a lot about various fields. In the future, one can also build their own hospital and serve the country. You will learn a lot about life when you join college. It is both a little scary and a joyful experience. You will make new friends, enjoy college life, and yesssss of course the annual fests ; ) The campus is clean and green, the crowd is undoubtedly beautiful. JMC always has extracurricular activities going on, a variety of competitions, etc. which will help in overall character development.

Satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 50% students got placed, from which the average package were between 2,40,000 - 3,60,000 pa. And the companies were also average. Major placements were in hospital, including administration and management. Only 10% of the total students were placed in good company.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good, classrooms were in good condition. And labs / library were also well maintain. Food available were pf good quality, but it was way too expensive in comparison to other du colleges. Making it difficult for the students to afford then on regular basis.
Faculty: Teachers were quite knowledgeable and were regular too. Curriculum was too good as it mainly focused on practicality rather than theories. Passing percentage was normal and also exams were not that much difficult to pass. Syllabus was good and teachers were also good.

Nice exposure.
Placements: In B.Voc Healthcare Management very few students get placed due to lack of health care organisation who take freshers. But even the few ones are very prominent ones like Fortis Hospital. The average package is very basic, it is as per government guidelines. Roles offered are Patient care Coordinator, talent acquistation executive (depends on the requirement of the companies) .
Infrastructure: The Library is great! Classrooms are okay. The food is amazing especially the bhel puri, sev puri is very famous of JMC. Gym facilities are there at a very nominal price. There is a huge playground in the college and the sports department is very active.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and provide great notes. There notes and guidance are enough to pass exams. The course curriculum is relevant has all the management subjects plus healthcare specific ones. Internships is mandatory, which makes students ready for the industry by the end of the course. We have 2 General elective exams per semester and 1 Skill based exam every year which makes the course very easy.
Other: Montage organised by JMC is the most famous fest in Du. JMC is know for its clubs, and societies. Every year a new society or club emerges in JMC like TedxJMC, Encatus, JMCEP etc. Healthcare is a booming industry and only JMC offers a course in healthcare management which has mandatory internships with it to pass the course. Best thing about the course is internships and less pressure of study. Only the placements need to improved but it also depends on the students effort as along with placement cell the department has its own Public relations team which helps to get internships and placements specifically healthcare oriented for the students of the course.

Hostels are fine and food quality of the mess is also good. We play various sports here like volleyball, chess, carom, etc. We also have a medical room.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They help us in various ways. They are like our friends with whom we can share our feelings. Course curriculum is very much relevant to our studies. Semester exams are not so tough, if you study well then you will score good marks.

Placements: About 60% of students were placed in our course. There were so many organisations that came to hire our students. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. They arrange an internship every semester. They asked us to make an internship report on every internship we did.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are very good like classrooms, library, labs, etc. You can collect the best canteen memories. It has a huge menu. The medical facilities are also available on campus.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are very qualified, helpful, and kind-hearted. They helped us in every possible way. They provided us with ample opportunities to prove our skills. They are so helpful and recommend everybody. The professors are highly qualified and their teaching way is highly appreciated. The exams are neither very tough nor very easy.
