B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2019
Offered by Loyola - ICAM College of Engineering and Technology

The college needs growth in all the rules, and the worst part is the hostel.
Placements: Hardly 50 to 60% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Byju's is one of the top recruiting companies. Only 1 student got an internship through college. Most of the roles offered were sales, and very few were engineering related.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is only available for faculty members, and students are not allowed to bring any electronic gadgets. The construction of the hostel is very poor, which literally looks like a jail. Food was related to Loyola Arts and Science, and it was quite good. Medical facilities were quite good as it had a tie-up with Apollo hospitals.
Faculty: Very few teachers were well-trained in teaching the subject. Most of them only focused on the grade and didn't take any step to make students understand and enjoy the subject. The course is meant for engineers who have graduated 10 years ago, and it is not making students industry-ready.

The college has good infrastructure, and it is in the main part of the city.
Placements: Our department used to get less placement as compared to other departments every time, like 40% of the students would get placed. I don't remember exactly, but the highest salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top recruiting companies were Bosch, Valeo, CTS, etc. Around 60% of the students got an internship in various industrial firms. Top roles offered to the students are production head at most.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and every classroom has all the facilities like a projector, etc. In our college, Wi-Fi is available only to the faculty members but not to the students, and phones are not allowed inside the building. The library is well-maintained and has a decent amount of collections. Labs were well-equipped with all the necessary instruments.
Faculty: Teaching quality was on par with the other colleges. Some teachers would be helpful and friendly with the students, and most of the teachers will be ready to help the students. The course is not updated to the latest needs which the current industry requires, so it is not relevant because it has an old syllabus.
Other: I have chosen this course because I liked the electrical devices. The best thing about our course is you will come to know everything in deep with the devices. The campus is in the main part of the city, so it is well-connected to other places. Surroundings are great, and you can get everything around the college. I wish the university updates the syllabus with the latest industrial requirements.

It is one of the prestigious institutions. Being a student here is a fortune.
Placements: All the students were placed in our department who all have opted for placement. The highest salary package offered is 9.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Expenditure is the top recruiting company. Human resource leader is the top role offered to the students. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 9.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Almost 80% of the students got an internship in companies like Lactis, ONGC, etc.
Infrastructure: Availability of Wi-Fi is free. Labs are neat and clean with more computers and classrooms are excellent. The library is composed of more books. Food served is very good, and the mess is always neat. Canteen is also good. Medical facilities are fair, and sports and games are excellent. Our college won many national and international trophies.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is understandable. They spent more time to make us understand. The practical application provides us with more information. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are trained to be professionals. So when they enter a company, they won't face any difficulty.
Other: The electrical course is quite difficult, but it will gain more knowledge, and it will engine the world. The college should increase the application of knowledge. Overall, everything is good.

Good college for self studying students who cannot disturbed by the outside environment.
Placements: Many good companies won't come. Most of the companies are from sales and marketing. Cores and software companies are rare. Placement training is better. You can apply for off campus and get placed, the college will help you in getting placed in off campus.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not the best. Because the air is blocked by close building walls. Classrooms are neat and clean with projectors in every class. Labs are maintained properly. Food in the canteen is the worst. Hostel rooms are perfect to stay. Wi-Fi is not available.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified compared to other colleges. Their teaching quality is better. But the college lacks in coaching. It's the students responsibility to study for their own. Industrial exposure is not up to the level. The projects are done own by the students unlike other college students approaching project centres.

The best a student can get.
Placements: Placements as far as my batch is considered, I would rate 3/5 as we had only one technical company (MRF) and one internship (KONE Elevators). We got a quite a few IT companies and good ones like SAP Labs, Vernalis also. But I assure that more core companies will come in the near future.
Infrastructure: I would rate this 5/5. It's one of the best in this college. They provide the best infrastructure, be it labs or classroom or restroom (the best in the country). Canteen food is good, but yes, it depends on the contractor. Hostels are good as far as I have heard( as I'm a day scholar). Additional online lectures and placement training provides a perfect platform for a young graduate.
Faculty: Faculty members are good here. PhD scholars add to the experience. Lab assistants are also well versed and provide a good understanding abut technical stuff. They provide platforms for mini-projects and innovative ideas. Cells entrepreneurship and innovative cell help students to enhance their technical skills and management qualities.
Other: Good college. I would say they work for the students' soft and hard skills. Be it sports or studies, people will encourage you in your endeavours. The classroom atmosphere is very good and students are asked to take seminars and presentations on a periodical basis.
