Review of Miranda House, University of Delhi.
Placements: There are no placements for our course in our college. It has produced many eminent personalities working in different fields across the country and the world, making a significant impact on humanity. No salry packages are offered for our course. Around 50% of students secure internships, often during their 2nd and 3rd years as well.
Infrastructure: Miranda House has been ranked No. 1 in the NIRF ranking for the last 7 consecutive years. Thus, infrastructure, environment, and opportunities are wonderful. I'm not a hosteler, so I can't review the hostel very well, but, I have seen it, visited it sometimes, and the aura that place holds is amazing. The lush green landscape is mesmerizing. College, along with the hostel, looks majestic during the evening (sunset).
Faculty: Professors are very helpful, jolly, and friendly. I mostly have female teachers. They treat us like their solving our queries. They prioritize practical knowledge over theoretical knowledge. I don't find semester exams difficult, as our teachers have already prepared us for that day.
Other: I chose it because I believe this course will help me build a strong foundation for my career. Best thing about my course is that it is the best. It covers all perspectives, from all times, and all sections of society and the world. DU is known for its fests and other events, so I don't think there's a need to mention it. College keeps organising events, seminars, and webinars, which are helpful for us as we get to know and meet new personalities and learn and unlearn something new and exciting every day. No college can provide the expouser our college provides.

I would highly recommend joining Miranda House, University of Delhi.
Placements: Our college has a dedicated placement cell that streamlines the placement process. It makes it more accessible and efficient. A student from our course which is political science honours has successfully secured a job with a remarkable package of 19 LPA. It speaks volumes about the excellence of our placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts an impressive infrastructure that is sure to captivate anyone's attention. The campus features spacious classrooms, well-equipped Science labs, and vibrant activity centers. The hostel facilities are equally impressive, offering comfortable accommodation options, including double and four-sharing rooms. Moreover, the mess food is delicious, making our colleges infrastructure truly exceptional overall.

Other: Miranda House stands out as one of India's premier institutions for higher education. I was drawn to it because of its impressive NAAC grading and vibrant campus atmosphere. Our college offers a dynamic experience with various festivals and activities throughout the year, culminating in the annual Tempest College fest, which is an unforgettable experience.

I am very satisfied with the college.
Placements: Students do not get any placements in our course, but they get placements in courses related to commerce like B.Com hons, eco hons, etc. Miranda House helps students excel in fields like civil services, journalism, politics, science, advocacy, and others related to political science.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Miranda House is one of the best in Delhi University. From lecture rooms to the library, every room is very spacious and ventilated. Lecture rooms can accommodate above 100 students. Grounds are huge and well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They not only help students with doubts but counsel them for their problems like staying away from home. Exams are not hard if students attend lectures and pay attention.
Other: Miranda House is worthy, and it is ranked second in NIRF. Students should do hard work in CUET.

One of the top colleges in India
Placements: We have 118 students in our course . But there is no placement offered . Science stream usually gets a good package. The same is not true for Humanities. Political Science (Hons) is only for gaining knowledge. You won't get a placement for this. You must work hard for getting a decent job (government or other).
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi works in some areas only. Labs are well-equipped. Most classes are big and spacious. The science block has working AC. The The ACs in the humanities block don’t work. The library has a good number of books (high chances of getting the book you are searching for), and theoverall environment gives exposure to new things.
Faculty: Teachers are really scholars. They have a depth of knowledge of every single topic. They are well-experienced. The course curriculum is also relevant and interesting. Political Science cannot bore a person for sure . Every second person here was a topper of her school. An average student can score a CGPA of 7 to 8 . But if you pay attention to what your teacher says, then you would surely score between 8 to 9 CGPA.
Other: It's the most demanded course among Humanities students. Common freshers’ orientation is not held. Apart from this, other things are decent.

Mixed Bag, yet better than most DU colleges.
Placements: I'm currently a sophomore and so haven't experienced the placements myself. However, the placement cell of MH has brought in big names like Make My Trip, Next IAS and numerous NGOs. Almost 60-70% of applicants makes through internships in HR, PR, Content Writing, and other related roles.
Infrastructure: For Political Science department in MH, you might hear charming claims, but all of them might not unnecessarily turn true. While the library has a good collection of classic works and textbooks, the classrooms allotted to political Science are highly humid, cramped, and difficult to study in. Not many labs are available for political Science, and even those assigned to the departments research wings, such as PCGL (Policy Centre and Gender Lab), are difficult to get access permission for, and the wing itself is highly bureaucratic. The Wi-Fi access all across the college is poor. The hostel has neat and tidy rooms, but ACs are not present, and personal coolers are not permitted. However, the greenery all across the college is highly remarkable, and overall infrastructure is much better than most other DU colleges.
Faculty: The faculty of Department of Political Science is highly qualified and educated. However, the department usually runs on the decisions of just a few professors, most of whom (the decision makes) are not very helpful, cooperative or open to newer ideas. With them, there is little space for dissent/questioning or disagreement, and conceited claims is all that can be received in response. HOWEVER, the current HOD encourages classroom discussions, and pushes forth to read more. Other few professors, who are literally the gem of the department, their brilliance, dynamism, open mindset, intellect and compassion will make it all seem worth (is only they're assigned to you). Their might be circumstances that you witness contradictory and unwelcoming attitude, BUT, a large and cloud, but, there are hundred of exceptions among both: faculty and student body, and so the Department of Political Science, Miranda House, is on the whole a mixed bag.
