The qualifying age is 24 years as on August 1 of the year of admission. For candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/ Persons With Disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of five years. 

At NIFT Chennai BFTech fees ranges between INR 9 Lacs and INR 12.3 Lacs depending on whether students enrol in first year or into second year via lateral admissions. The total tuition fee comprises of several components, such as tuition fees, library fees, medical insurance, caution deposit, and more.
