Life at Nift Kannur be like.

Placements: I have not completed the course yet. I have heard from seniors and alumni that the placements are above average. If you work hard, get good grades, and prepare well, you will get good placements. The college faculty also said the same during orientation: it depends on you.

I am dissatisfied with placements and campus life.

Placements: There is around 60% to 70% placement this year. The highest package this year was around 9 LPA. Top recruiters are Trident, Raymond, and Arvind. About 100% of students get internship opportunities in Arvind, Raymond, and Laguna. About70% to 80% of students get internships in different apparel companies. Top roles offered are merchandiser, production manager, IE executive, etc.

Our college has good infrastructure and the fee structure is a little high.

Placements: About 99% of students got placements. I don't know much about the average salary package offered. We can get so many designing companies. Nike and Lifestyle are some of them. Everyone in our college gets internships as it is compulsory for us. The roles offered are as designers, graphic designer, garment constructing, stylist, etc.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Almost 70% of the students get placed from all departments. I am not sure about the salary package offered. The companies recruiting depends on applications from the students. Mostly MNCs and design houses related companies recruit. Top roles offered are head designer, assistant designer, print developer and textile head designer. Almost 90% of the students got an internship in MNCs and design houses related companies, which depends on applications.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placement percentage was 100% for my senior batch and the average package offered was 60,000/- Students are facilitated with options to attend interviews from other NIFT centres as well. For fashion design department, stipends are rarely given and that purely depends upon the company. Students are required to do an eight weeks internship (June-July) right after the completion of the sixth semester.
