The NEST 2024 exam was conducted on June 30, 2024, across various exam centres in India. The exam was conducted in two shifts ie., the morning shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The overall exam difficulty level of the examination was moderately easy. Questions from the physics domain were quite difficult to solve and had high-order thinking questions. The difficulty level of Mathematics subjects was moderate to tough. Some of the topics were Probability and limits, among others.
The NEST 2024 exam analysis comprises the difficulty level of the exam, the average number of questions attempted by the students, expected cutoff marks, and memory-based questions. By checking the exam analysis of NEST 2024 students will be able to assess their score and comparison from other students also.
Many coaching institutes will release the NEST 2024 answer key after the conclusion of the exam while the official answer key will be released in a few days.

Last year Physics was the toughest, followed by Mathematics. Chemistry and Biology were on the easier lines. The exam pattern and question types were similar to that of last year. The NEST 2024 answer keys will be released in a week after the conclusion of the exam.

NEST 2024 Exam Timings
The exam timings are such that candidates will have to reach the exam centre on time so that there is no overcrowding at the security check-in. Candidates have to carry their NEST admit card and government-authorized ID to the exam centre. The exam timings were as follows:

NEST Exam Pattern
The NEST question paper had two formats i.e. in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). The mode of the exam was online or Computer Based Test (CBT). The exam duration was 3 Hours 30 minutes. The medium of the entrance exam was English. A total of four sections were asked which were - Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

NEST 2024 Section-wise Analysis
Once the NEST 2024 exam is conducted, it will be updated here till the time students can check the NEST exam analysis of the previous year and accordingly, they can prepare for the exam.
The questions were from the given syllabus of NEST, which was along the lines of the Board exam syllabus. The topics were on the expected lines. Let us take a look at the section-wise topics.
Chemistry - The questions were on the NCERT level. However, there were a lot of questions from previous years' JEE Main question papers. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy. The questions were more on the lines of Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry.
Mathematics - The majority of the questions were of Class 11 level. The difficulty level was moderate to tough. Some of the topics were Probability, Limits, among others.
Physics - The Physics section was the toughest. The topics were calorimetry, current electricity, capacitor, kinematics, unit and dimensions, etc.
Biology - The difficulty level of this section was easy. The topics were from the expected lines like Botany, Human Physiology, Human Reproduction, among others.
