NEST 2024 Answer Keys was released on July 5, 2024 by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar. The answer key of NEST 2024 was released in online mode for all the subject in the candidate's registered account.

Candidates are advised to visit the official website and download the NEST 2024 Question papers and their respective answer keys. The online objection portal for raising the query or objection against the NEST 2024 answer keys will be opened for a week around. 

After reviewing the objections, the exam authorities may state to revise the NEST answer key 2024 of the particular questions for which the objections will be raised.

Candidates are suggested to raise objections against the NEST 2024 answer keys through the subject-specific email addresses. Candidates appearing for the NEST examination could check the answer key depending on their question paper set code.

Features of NEST 2023 Answer Key 

The exam authority published the answer key of NEST 2023 for the convenience of the candidates. The main features of the answer key are as under:

  • Provides the correct solution for the NEST question paper for Set A, B, C and D 
  • Useful in calculating the estimated scores to be obtained by the candidates 
  • Reporting objections related to errors on the answer key (if any) and question paper 

The answer key will be released for maintaining transparency in the calculation of NEST scores.

How to download the Answer Key of NEST 2024?

The answer key will be published on the official website of NEST 2024, and candidates can obtain it by following the steps given below: 

  1. Sign in to the registered email id and click on the mail sent by NISER Bhubaneswar
  2. On clicking it, candidates can download the answer keys along with their answer scripts
  3. The correct answers to the questions are clearly marked there with a green tick
  4. Download and save the answer key to cross-check it with the question paper of NEST 2024 (also available along with the answer key)
  5. In a box on the right, “Question ID” for each question will be there which must be kept a note of
  6. Each candidate has a “Participant ID” which you will find at the top of the answer script, which must be saved in order to raise queries.

Candidates can cross-verify the correct options against each question of NEST 2024 and check if there are any errors on them. NISER will share the process and schedule of filing objections on the answer key in notification only. 

 

How to Raise Queries/Objections Against NEST 2024 Answer Keys

Candidates need to follow the steps given below to raise queries or objections against one or more NEST 2024 answer keys:

  • Send an email carrying the subject (Physics, Chemistry or Biology), Question ID (available on the answer keys), and Participant ID (sent to them through answer key email) to the respective subject-wise email address by marking a copy to the Id nest-exam@niser.ac.in

  • The subject line of the email should be subject name: Question ID and Participant ID. For example, to raise a query about a question in the Chemistry section with “Question ID” 1111111111 and “Participant ID” 222222222222, the subject line of the email should be: Chemistry:1111111111, 222222222222

  • The body of the email should be brief and to the point and there should not be any attachments

Here is the detailed procedure to how candidates can raise objections against NEST 2023 provisional answer key, as specified on the official website of NEST:

1. After loogging into their respective accounts, candidates will be able to see "Candidate Response".

2. After clicking on ‘here’ button you will be able to view the Question, four possible options, correct option highlighted with green color will be visible to you, compare the correct option with the Option Chosen by you on exam day which will be visible to you right side upper corner of each question.

3. If you find any discrepancy in answer keys and wish to raise objection, go to the Objection form Tab to raise the objection, please note down the Question ID and Option ID somewhere before moving to objection tab to raise objection.

Steps to Raise NEST 2024 Objection:

Here is the snippets mentioned below for raising objection against the NEST answer key, provided by the examination conducting body.

Aftet following the above steps, candidates can now upload maximum 3 supporting documents in PDF, JPG, JPEG format (max size 400 KB), after uploading document 1 candidates need to select document 2 then upload the require file, if uploading the second document keeping
your selection in document 1, then it will overwrite the previously uploaded document. Please note at least one document is mandatory to upload.

Complete the payment and your Objection will be registered successfully.

In case the above factors are not followed, the answer key queries or objections will not be considered by the NEST Question Paper Committee. All candidate queries will be considered by the Question Paper Committee and if there is a change in the answer key it will be announced to all candidates. Most candidates who raise queries will not receive individual responses but all legitimate queries will be considered and discussed fully by the Committee.

Q. What is the marking scheme of NEST 2024?

A. There is a differential marking scheme for NEST 2024. Each correct MCQ answer will be awarded 2.5 marks and for each correct MSQ answer, four marks will be awarded. There will be one mark of negative marking for each wrong MCQ answer. There is no negative marking scheme for MSQs and unattempted questions. 

Q. How to evaluate scores using the NEST 2024 answer key?

A. Candidates have to take into consideration the correct and incorrect answers from each section separately. They can evaluate the scores based on the marking scheme of NEST 2024.  

Q. Will the answer key of NEST 2024 released separately for each subject?

A. No, since there will be a single question paper for NEST 2024, the answer key was also released in a single PDF file for two sessions. However, it mentions the correct options for each section separately.

A. No, there is no fee regarding answer key objections of the NEST 2024 exam.
