Yes, the technology institute offers MSc in Physics as a full-time course. Admission to the course is through IIT JAM followed by CCMN counselling. The seat intake for the course is 25. NIT Calicut admissions are entirely entrance-based for all its UG & PG courses. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories)  is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Furthermore, all the documents such as bachelor’s degree, mark sheets, etc. are required at the time of admission for verification purposes.

No, NIT Calicut does not facilitate direct admission to any of the courses. Admission is entirely based on merit in the national-level exams, including JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT,  NIMCET,  UGC NET, etc. Candidates are further required to participate in other selection rounds, such as counselling, written exam, and interview as well, as per the applied course selection criteria.

NIT Calicut comes under the top 3 NITs in India. The institute has a central library and a digital library. The Central Library of NIT Calicut is one of the best technical libraries in South India. It has a very good collection of more than 1.33 lakh technical and scientific books. The Central Computer Centre (CCC) is another central facility of the Institute that caters to the computing requirements of the campus community. The students live in hostels on campus. There are 13 hostels on the campus, out of which 10 are for boys and 3 for girls.
