A pretty good campus life. But dissatisfied with the culture.
Placements: The placements in NIT Jamshedpur are pretty good, especially in the metallurgy branch. Mass hiring is done by most of the core companies; that's why the placement rates are good. Companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel, and JSL, JSPL—all these companies do mass hiring and give the decent package of 12-13 LPA. The average package varies from 12 to 15 LPA. Last year the placement rate in metallurgy was 100%. The job roles offered by the company are mainly of management. All these companies also offer internships, and they offer PPO if you work accordingly.
Infrastructure: The hostels in NIT Jamshedpur are really good, while the lecture has some problems, but it can be ignored. The classrooms are good enough to occupy at least 150 students. The library is also good. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There is a gym and different courts and grounds for different sports. The mess is pretty decent, not too good nor too bad. The hygiene is maintained.
Faculty: Some faculty on the campus are not that cooperative, but some are extremely good. They help students in internships and placements too. Yes, all the teachers are highly qualified, holding many research papers. The course curriculum is also relevant. They also include subjects like organizational behavior to make students industry-ready. But the semester exams are scheduled very badly, not giving enough time to prepare.

College is very good for placements, which can brighten your future.
Placements: 100 percent of students get placed in our branch. The highest package of our branch is 17 Lacs per annum and the lowest is 8 Lacs per annum, which makes the average of 9 Lacs per annum, which is very good as compared to other branches. Nowadays, Google is also coming for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good and the infrastructure of our branch lab is well-equipped. We can get all possible books from the library; there is no issue. The qualities of the hostel in NIT Jamshedpur are very good. From 2nd year, only all students get their own single rooms.
Faculty: All faculty are very helpful; they teach us very well. Until 6 pm, all the faculty are available in their own cabins and students can go to their cabins at anytime for their doubts and other problems. Semester exams in this college are not so hard; if you study properly, you will surely get good marks.
Other: I chose this course due to my low rank in the JEE examination. The best thing about this course is that we can get 100 percent placement. To improve this course, I would not prefer anything because all are pretty good.

Overall college life and placement scenario is best in NIT JAMSHEDPUR.
Placements: The best part of NIT Jamshedpur is its campus placement. Here, both core and software companies are equally valuable, and nearly 95% of students get placed every year, and it's getting better day by day. The previous year, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering achieved 100% placement.
Infrastructure: Academic and hostel rooms are very well-maintained. Here, we live in single rooms from the 2nd year of the course only. Here, hostel and academic buildings are regularly cleaned and maintained with proper hygiene. In our mess, every week the variety of food changes per meal to provide all nutrients.
Faculty: Curriculum has changed a little every year according to market needs. Faculty members are using variable techniques of teaching methods; some are good, but some are not good. All semester examinations are very important for CGPA, so take them seriously. Here you also need to maintain 75% attendance.
Other: There are so many clubs in the college, which engaged us in our field of interest.

Faculty members are good. Placements are good, but one has to compromise with infrastructure.
Placements: The batch size of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering for placements is 120, and last year, we achieved 100% placement for all students. Top recruiters included Vedanta, ABG, and BlackRock. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, and both the median and average salary package offered is 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good with air conditioning, and a projector. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Medical facilities are also good. There is a dispensary for medical issues, and if the issue is not resolved then we have to go to the hospital. The amount invested in the hospital is refunded by the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and helpful. They also give advice on what to do next in the future to get placed. They also help us with projects, and if we have any business ideas then we can go to the respected teacher, and they will guide us, which is truly valuable.
Other: If one is placement-oriented, then the NIT Jamshedpur is best.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

A number of variables, including your category, state quota, and the cutoffs for that year, affect your chances of being admitted to engineering colleges via JEE Mains. Being an OBC candidate and a home state candidate may improve your prospects if you scored 80% in Class 12th and 95% in JEE Mains,
