Great placement and mediocre faculty.
Placements: Placement is very good here in terms of package or company. In our course on electrical engineering, 75% of the students were from the previous batch at our college. Top companies come here, like Google, Microsoft and many other MNC companies, which provide enough packages to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of NIT Srinagar is very good in terms of location. Classrooms are very good. In our classroom, all the facilities are provided during the winter because in Kashmir, snow falls. A very tasty food chef in the hostel helps students improve their health. Wi-Fi is also available in the entire hostel .
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified in their respective fields. The course curriculum is also very good. The semester exam level is also better in terms of difficulty. Pass percentage criteria is 40 out of 100, of which 76 are for written exams and 24 are for internal assessments.
Other: I chose this course because, when I was preparing for JEE, I had an interest in electrical. That's why I chose it. Another reason is that in this course, there are two options: one is a private company and the other is a government job.

NIT Srinagar is an average college.
Placements: Not so many companies visit the campus but if you have a very good CGPA, you can get placed in good companies. The overall average package is INR 20 lakh. Some companies set a very strict CGPA, which is very hard to maintain here so if you want to get placed, then you have to work very hard.
Infrastructure: Hostels are almost good with 5-6 people in a double bedded room. Washrooms and bathrooms are good; they have very good facilities in bathrooms, like geysers but one thing bad is that doors are broken, mostly by students but they didn't repair them at all. Mess food is good but you will get bored with the same food.
Faculty: There are two exams in a semester: one midterm and the second end term. Basically, papers come from teachers notes or book questions but while marking, teachers are very biased. They give more marks to girls and Kashmiris. The faculty here is not too good; almost all the teachers are Kashmiris, and they lack some professionalism.

Good for tech branches but has poor infrastructure.
Placements: We have about 110 students enrolled in the Electrical Engineering department. Top recruiting companies include C-DOT, Jio, Vedanta, and Havells. The average package is expected to reach around 15 lakhs per annum for tech branches by 2026. Various internship companies frequently visit the college, providing valuable real-world experience.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure includes some good classrooms with heating systems and furniture, but these are not available in the first year. Laboratories are well-equipped, but Wi-Fi connectivity is poor, especially in Indus Hostel. The mess food is average, with separate timings for vegetarian and non-vegetarian students.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is good but not fully updated with the dynamic changes happening globally. Semesters are moderate, with a passing percentage of 40%, including 26 marks for mid-semester, 24 marks for class presence and other activities, and 50 marks for end-semester exams.
Other: Overall, I would recommend this college if you are getting into any tech branch based on your score. The campus has a good vibe with the natural beauty of Kashmir and Dal Lake. However, I would definitely improve hostel accommodations and other infrastructure at the college.

I am satisfied with teachers and placements.
Placements: In our college, around 80% of students are placed. The average salary package offered is 9 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 18.36 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Indian Oil, HP, Reliance, HCL, etc., visit our campus.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. The campus is good. Hostel facilities are not good.
Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. Many teachers graduated from top IITs like IIT, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, etc. The course curriculum is a little bit boring. Classes are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During weekends, you can enjoy visiting nearby places like Dal Lake and Gulmarg.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to go to PSU. There are a lot of benefits to this branch because you can go for technical and core placements. Our college organises Tech Waganza, a technical fest and a cultural fest.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and hostel. Labs and classrooms are average. The hostel facilities are not good. 5 to 6 students share a single room. A playground is available for sports.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. Exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 80%.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
