I am totally dissatisfied with this college, except for weather of Srinagar.

Placements: In my point of concern, civil department placement is nil. But for other branches like computer Science and information technology, there was better placement, so choose your branch wisely. If you are from core branch, you should be prepared for GATE or other government jobs.

Happy and absolutely satisfied.

Placements: Placements occur but only for students who want to opt for IT jobs and teaching Faculty in coaching Institute do get jobs. Besides this business companies like zahid associates etc. Also come for placements. So if are serious for jobs you will definitely get placed.

Overall our college experience is good. Most of teaching faculty is worst, placement is avg.

Placements: Mechanical, CSE, ECE are good branches for placement. In these branches about 80% student are placed in different companies. Our max pay 20 lacs per annum in last year. In current year 18 lacs per annum. Average pay is about 6 lacs per annum. Many PSU offered for internship like BHEL, SAIL, OIL INDIA, ONGC.

Good college because of NIT tag.

Placements: Placements are not that good especially of core branches like mechanical civil and electrical. Our batch got the least placement as there were elections and too much of strikes almost every third day because of which HR's were reluctant to come. CS branches have good record.

Taj of Valley 'NIT Srinagar'.

Placements: Early years faced many problems due to valley crises. Now our college and IIT JAMMU are together for student placement, we hope it will help us. From most of the departments like CSE, it, ECE, EE, students are placed in college placement programme. Our college student also got good rank in GATE examination.

Good college until you are a local.

Placements: Low placement for branches other than CS /IT. The companies seldom visit the campus due to its location. But few companies have MOU signed with the college. They ought to visit the campus every year. Students need to fight hard for even 4 LPA. Pity.

No social, night life outside the campus. Strict rules and regulations for girls.

Placements: The highest package here was Rs. 74 LPA (Computer Science Engineering). There were good placements in the computer science engineering, information technology engineering, mechanical engineering and in the electronics and communication engineering. Overall, the best branch is the mechanical engineering here.

Good college to learn everything, except engineering. I get a lot of time to study in many fields.

Placements: The placement is good unless you have a backlog, but it also depends on company policy. The most liked company are Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, CTS, TCS, Infosys, IBM, Musigma, Wipro, Konkan Railway, JSPL, JSW. Polaris, etc. Now it is expected to be high as it will share placement with IIT, Jammu.

Placements can be made better and even the facilities can be increased.

Placements: The average package offered in the placement is about 6 LPA. Considering branch wise, then CSE ranks number one in the placements. IT sector is a good option in our college to get placed. The highest package offered was 72 LPA, and that was off campus. The offer has given by the company EPIC. This year, in 2018, a good number of students have been placed.

Critical review of NIT Srinagar

Placements: Placements are good for computer, Enc, electrical but not that good for civil and mechanical as very few are placed in these streams whereas most of the students of computer and electronics are placed in reputed companies across the country and abroad.

The college has a good environment and a good infrastructure, but an average placements.

Placements: As I am in the third year of my studies, our senior batch who are in their 7th semester had an average placement drive. About 35 out of 60 were placed in my department with the highest package of around Rs. 6 to 7 LPA. It is not good when compared to the last year records, but still, they have one semester left so nothing could be said. An average package is about Rs. 4 LPA and the companies were the usual tech companies like the Wipro, Infosys, IBM, etc., with no big names until now. As far as ...

NIT Srinagar is a great college for mechanical engineering.

Placements: The average package is like 4-5 lakhs but can go as high as 17 lakhs. The highest package is 72 lakh from CSE. Most of the branches get 100 percent placements. Most of the MNCs like Maruti Suzuki visit the campus. You might have to do little over the edge things for getting better placements than others and get extra skills.

As far as level of education is concerned, I would rate it 7 on the scale of 0-10. Books suggested by professors are good for competitive exam studies. Placement is also good. But as this college is in Srinagar, lack of exposure is there. Teachers won't guide you what to do after college.

Lack of administrate quality leading to student suffering in various phases of proper development within college. Although we get three month vacation which is enough if a student is volunteered himself to struggle and learn those things which should be taught in college otherwise.

At the end average placements but I think one of the beat campus in terms of view.

Placements: In 2024 placement drive, only 40 students placed out of 70. the highest package was 13.95 LPA from vedanta in india And one company I don't remember its name but gave 18 LPA in oman. The lowest package is 5.5 from virdhman steel. Average package is about 7 LPA. Vedanta, JSW. 80-90% students got internship in their 3 year. Graduate traniee.

Good for tech branches but has poor infrastructure.

Placements: We have about 110 students enrolled in the Electrical Engineering department. Top recruiting companies include C-DOT, Jio, Vedanta, and Havells. The average package is expected to reach around 15 lakhs per annum for tech branches by 2026. Various internship companies frequently visit the college, providing valuable real-world experience.

Review of NIT Srinagar National Institute of Technology.

Placements: There are decent placements in CSE and IT. Civil had an average placement of about 5 LPA. Most of the companies were not even core companies. Most of the students in civil engineering got placed in management or HR roles. Larsen and Toubro is probably the only core company in civil engineering.

I am not satisfied in terms of placement as only core branches have maximum placements.

Placements: Out of 64, 17 students got placements in various sectors. The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, etc., visit our college placements. Almost 100% of the students got an internship in companies like GAIL, SAIL, IOCL, etc. The placement record is not very bad, but it needs more improvement.
