Review of National Institute of Technology, Srinagar.

Placements: Placements of core branches were not good compared to our senior batches. However, placements for CSE department were very good. Since no PSUs visited this time for the mechanical department, so the highest salary package was reduced to approximately 8 LPA. The average salary package offered for the mechanical student was approximately 5-5.5 LPA.

Great location, average placements, poor networking.

Placements: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and IT have decent placements. Average package is 4 lacs per annum, with median around 5 lacs per annum, and the maximum over 12 lacs per annum. Civil Electrical Engineering have only 10-15% placements on average, with Chemical and Metallurgy doing even worse. There is a placement cell run by students which looks after the entire process of campus placements.

The college is not extraordinary, but the overall experience is quite good and you will like it.

Placements: Placements in college are good for CS and IT. This year, the highest salary package offered was around 35 LPA, and the average package was around 6 LPA. But it is not the same for core branches, as only 3-4 PSUs visit every year for placements of core branches. Apart from PSUs, private companies also visit the campus, so almost 70-80% of the students from the core branch remain unplaced. There are almost 100% placements for CS and IT branch.

Hate it or love it, you are going to enjoy every second that you have spent in the college.

Placements: Placements have always been a matter of concern. This year, it was a turn around for CSE and IT streams. Around 50% of the students of 7th semester got placed through college placements. Almost everyone is expected to be placed by the end of the session. Others have to be very dependent on non-core companies. The salary package of 28 LPA was bagged by a student of CSE stream. The internship is not provided by the college, and one has to look for it on their own.

Scenic beauty and atmosphere are the attractive factors of this college.

Placements: Placements in our college are good this year. Students of CSE and IT branches had high placements. For rest of the branches, placements are not good at all. Placements for the civil branch are far better for the present batch than the last batch. The college doesn't provide on-campus internships. A student has to find an internship on their own. Among all, 28 LPA was the highest salary package offered to a CSE student.

Our college has good faculty members, but it needs to work on infrastructure.

Placements: Well, placements in our college are pretty good. Tanay Abhra of 2014 batch of CSE branch got placed in a USA based company named Epic Systems with the highest package of 72 LPA. Currently, most of the students got placed through college placements. This year, the highest package offered was 28 LPA.

If you want adventure while studying, then go for this college.

Placements: Placements in the college are not good enough. Branches like chemical and metallurgy don't get that much attention in terms of placements. This year, the highest package offered was 28 LPA, offered to a CSE student. The average package is approximately 5 LPA. Companies like Resonance, Four Kytes, Vedanta, etc. visit the college for placements every year.

Faculty members are good and placements can be better. The college has the best scenery.

Placements: I will be lying if I say our college is the best in terms of placement. But CSE and IT are top in the placement scenario. Placements for the previous years were good, and they are going at a steady pace for the 2019 batch. Till now only 15% of students have been placed from the 2015-2019 batch. Companies like L&T, Grey B, Tech systems, Resonance, Avanti, etc. have visited for placements.

NIT Srinagar is a good well reputed college but there is a huge scope for improvements.

Placements: Many psu's and some of the well known companies came for placement. In our batch all the students who appeared in placements got selected. The highest annual package was 12 Lacs p. a and the lowest being 4 Lacs p. a. The placement cell is very efficient and they appoint some selected students from each batch so that they invite well reputed companies and multinational firms.

NIT Srinagar is like a paradise in trouble.

Placements: The placements of NIT Srinagar faced challenges due to the political situation of Srinagar. The greater challenge, however, is not to get placed, but to remain motivated in the hostile environment. Students are advised to speak to any contacts within the institution before deciding to enroll.

I am satisfied with my college because the placements are very good this year.

Placements: The placements for our batch are nearly 70%, but the placements of our senior batch are not very good. This year, many PSUs like IOCL, HPCL, Gail, Oil India and many other private companies come to our college. All PSUs offer around Rs. 16 LPA package, and the private sectors offer almost Rs. 6.5 LPA.

Placements: The placement is increasing by the arrival of new directors. Many reputed companies are visited our college this year likewise Wipro, Gale, Tata, Mahindra, NTPC, Infoysis etc. Still many more companies are coming. About 85-90% students were placed with an average package of 8-9lacs. The highest package is 22 lacs.

Not that much satisfactory in case of placements and faculty support especially in CE Department.

Placements: Till now placement of 30 students in different PSUs and good private companies out of 118 students of CE branch and recruitment is going on. But last year there was very few placement took place in our branch. This time the highest pay by IOCL is 16lac to 4 student. And min salary is 4 lac.

Good Placements but not satisfied with the administration.

Placements: Placements for NIT Srinagar students are quite good. Talking whether about Computer Science or Information Technology, There is almost 100% placement. And the average package is about 5-6lacs/annum. And the rest of branches have placements about 55-65%. Last year my one of my senior got 18lacs/annum package in Electrical Engineering department. So, deserving overall students do get placements.

Knowledge hub but not livable.

Placements: Hundred percent placement for CS IT and ECE branches but no core company for electrical mechanical and civil engineering. Average Package is 3.5lakhs. On average 60-70% students get placed through campus placement. The highest salary was 50lakhs to student of CS through his own efforts. There is a placement cell but it is not efficient enough. They don't call companies and leave it to students to arrange themselves.

All about NIT Srinagar, it is the most beautiful college campus.

Placements: Overall, good placement record, mostly in CSE, ECE, mechanical & IT branches. Some guys are from mechanical, and ELE who are my batchmates got placements in PSU's like PGCIL, IOCL, HPCL, etc. The only branch placements which are less is civil, I guess. Rest in every branch, almost 70-80% of the students get placed.

Good infrastructure, lesser placements with satisfactory faculty and good exposure.

Placements: Placements for the civil engineering students is negligible as compared to other branches. Students from civil engineering branch often get placed in companies of different fields like IT, computer science, etc. The number of companies associated with the civil engineering, visiting the college is also less.
