The total tuition fes of MTech ranges between INR 1.4 lakh and INR 6 lakh. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. MTech is a two-year course offered in eight specialisations, namely Defence Technology, Data Science Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Machine Design, Renewable Energy, Structural Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, etc. Candidates must complete graduation in relevant disciplines with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1) to apply for MTech courses.

NMIT has the seats reserved in its M.Tech programme for candidates who take admission to the programme through different entrance exams and quotas. Additionally, AICTE has also approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/ PIO/ NRI students whose parents work in the Gulf countries.
