Review of Panimalar Engineering College.
Placements: Most of IT companies are recruiting students, and our college has 80% placements records. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 8,000 per month. Companies like Infosys and Accenture offered internships. Mechanical core placements are less, but placements are more in production-related. In our course, the average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Most of the students who are placed are not working now.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. Wi-Fi was not available here, and mobiles are not allowed in the library. However, the internet is available in the library, but most of the sites are blocked. I would rate 100 out of 100 for food served in our college, and they serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. They give importance to only volleyball but not to other sports.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are masters in the field, and some of them are PhD holders. Teaching quality is good. To score marks, they will make you clear the exams. They will help in the course curriculum and projects. Some of them are not good, but mostly they are enough for helping.

I am dissatisfied because of poor faculty members and interaction with students.
Placements: Around 60% of students get placed from college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 33,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 9,000 per month. An average salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. IT companies like Infosys, Avasoft, etc., visit our campus for placements. No placements are offered in our course. I am dissatisfied as we won't gain knowledge here. Neither any average salary packages were offered in our course. Around 35% of students got internships in refineries, power plants, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs of our college were fully airconditioned except electrical machine labs. Classrooms were comfortable. The library of our college had a centralised air-conditioned room. The hostel and the quality of food served in the hostel was good. Games and sports were provided only for sports quota students. Facilities in the hostel were very good, but we were not allowed to use the mobile phone inside the rooms, and our warden was also strict.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were neither knowledgeable nor helpful. The teaching quality was so poor. They don't explain the topic clearly. They were the worst faculty members I have ever seen. They were qualified with a PhD but did not have the knowledge. The course curriculum was relevant but it doesn't make the students ready for industry.
Other: I opted for the course because I studied a diploma in EEE. Nothing is best about this course. Interaction with the students needs to be improved. Neither events nor extracurricular activities were held on campus. Even the connectivity to the college was not good.
